The Oasis apartments are a 13 euro taxi ride from the Airport in Puerto del Carmen. They are light and spacious although the shower is a bit small but no shortage of hot water. The towells were a bit see through although changed twice a week. The pool area is pleasent with... more

Danger KEEP AWAY!!! from knc72
We booked this appartment on the internet after reading quite good reviews - when we arrived i have never experienced a room so dirty and dingy in all my holidays! I do not have high expectations from a basic appartment, however, the fact the bath was so small none of us could fit in it - and there was mould growing in the bath - which i must also mention was cracked. The shower head was yellow, dirty and i would have had a more sucessful shower under the sink! The beds were filthy - i dont think the sheets had been changed before our arrival - and the sofa bad was on its last legs, stained and in terrible condition. The bedroom had a tiny window in it (much like a prison cell i can only assume), that looked out onto generators and pumps for the (dirty) pool. From the room all that we could smell was sewage/and or drains. The appartments were generally shabby and poorly upkept. We managed to last an hour before leaving in search of a new hotel/appartment. The staff refused to give us any confirmation that we had vacated in order to claim a refund. I WOULD NOt recommend this place - even for an aniamal!!!

We stayed at the Oasis Apartments for a week last October and loved every minute of it! The rooms were very clean but basic, but who goes on hol to spend their time in the apartment! The pool was nice and cool, great for a dip after lying in the sun all morning. The poolside bar was nice, and the barman was very friendly, as were all the rest of the staff! There was a shop at the end of the road which was ideal for stocking up with water and other goodies! The apartments were only a 5 min walk away from the front which was lined with gift shops and restaurants. We ate at a Chinese restaurant a couple of nights, and also at a lovely Mexican who also done a superb breakfast! We found two beaches, one a short walk to the left and one a bit further to the right! Both were lovely and clean, the only thing a tad annoying was the man selling ice cream! In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oasis Apartments, and will definately be going back!

We went on november 07, and it was red hot for time of year! The room was really clean, best self catering room ever had, the water didnt stay hot for long, but when youv'e been sunning it all day its refreshing for your skin! The room was cleaned most days, although i would recommend taking a few extra bath towels! The reception staff are really friendy and we told them we'd be back again! The guy in the bar was really friendly aswell, the pool atmosphere is great, everyone was really friendly! The pool was absolutely freezing, i only went in twice!! There is a great bar called something duck( cant remember) that does a great english breakfast (no chips in site) thats about a two minute walk from the apartments. A bit further round is a netto and a spar shop that sell pretty much anything( bar paracetomol), my partner had cronic toothache and we had to wait until monday morning for the pharmacy to open! There is a million food places to try, Lans restaurants are good, there is a steakhouse - if you turn left at the end of the road where netto is and cross over, walk for about 5 mins and youre there, its orange i think( cant remember name). The beaches are really nice, annoying ice cream sellers tho! but deffo worth a day on the beach. All in all a great holiday, fantastic apartments ( for the money) i would recommend to anyone! Were going again in september!

Oasis Apartments, Puerto del Carmen. Just got back from a week in Lanzarote. Last week in January, booked flight and apartments for two adults from Luton for under £300-000 with Travel Republic, flew with Thomsonfly. Then a hire car at the airport from Autoreisen for £70-00, booked over the net Oases are basic 2 key apartments but everything was well presented and kept clean. Ideally situated in the middle of the main town, short walk to shops and restaurants, with a Spar supermarket at the end of the road. Plenty of parking outside on road. Reception was efficient and polite, cleaners in 5 days out of 7, pool was very cold, but hey its winter, but plenty of sun beds and space by the pool. Pool bar open during the day only, again friendly service.! Good sized room with kitchenette, twin beds in bedroom, clean bedding and towels provided. My wife’s main complaint was that there were only 7 hangers for our clothes The bath is small; the hot water tank seems to have enough for only one shower then needs a 10 minute refill/heat up time before the next shower. Overall very pleased with finding these apartments, had spent some time going over the reviews and can understand why they are good value. Would certainly return.
Very good value from corkish
For the price the Oasis Apartments are excellent. You get a bright spacious clean apartment and a very friendly welcome. We booked last minute and paid only £110 for a week, and for that price I doubt you could find anything better. But, bearing in mind the price, you have to accept that the Oasis is not going to be exclusive or luxurious. There was very little hot water, and the walls are paper thin. The only way into the apartments are through ill fitting patio doors which means that guests coming in from an all night drinking session tend to have to slam the doors to get them to shut, which in turn means that you almost certainly will get woken up if your immediate neighbours come back late. The pool is very pleasant to sit by temperature wise, although the music from the bar can get a bit monotonous. The bar itself is a bit expensive fro what you get. The sea front is only 5 minutes walk away with a plethora of restaurants and bars, and the beach is very nice, if a little windy. Overall, would recommend for a cheap holiday.
Great Place from LRTravels
We booked the oasis apartments over the internet and stayed for a few weeks in July. We stayed in a one bedroom apt. It was quite a small room but was fine for what we needed. The bedroom had 2 single beds and wardrobe for storage the window looked out to the pool of the hotel behind. The room was cleaned and beds made most days of the week and always kept tidy by the maids. The kitchenette had 2 hobs and enough pots and pans to cook with. There was a small television in the living room with 1 or 2 english channels and the usual spanish ones. The pool area was large for the size of the 55 apartments with plenty of room for sunbeds no problems getting a space. The main pool was very deep but there is a smaller childrens pool to the side. The pools and surrounding area was always kept clean and tidy. It takes only a few minutes to get to the nearest shop and also to the main strip and about 10 minutes to the nearest beach. Very clean,basic and excellent value for money. Would stay again.

Just back from a weeks stay in oasis apartments, apartments are very basic but are spotlessly clean, as said in another review bathroom is very small, we were on the ground floor which was nice with a small patio and garden area in front of you. Pool area is very clean, nice snack bar aswell. Apartments were about 5 mins from the main front, was good at nite really quiet, but close enough to go do what you want, overall i would reccomend these apartments very good value for money.

As an avid holiday maker having been to many places such as Cyprus, Portugal, Turkey, France,Greece, New Zeland, Australia, South Africa, America, Mexico, Cuba, Bulgaria and many parts of Spain i can honestly say i think my 2 weeks in Lanzarote have got to be the best 2 weeks of my life. we bookeed our holiday at Barrhead Travel, Oswald Street,Glasgow as we always do, after a lenghty conversation with the Travel Agent my friends and i booked our holiday to Lanzarote, leaving 30th July 2006 from Prestwick Airport at 12.30pm!! we booked a holiday for 6 people, and 4 more added to that afterwards, after much confusion and unforseen circumstances 5 of us ended up descending on the sunkissed island of Lanzarote. We were staying at the Oasis Apartments in Puerto Del Carmen, the apartments are spotlessly clean, with the staff being -with the exception of one who wont be named - very friendly and will attend to your every need. The location of our very apartment was great as the room was very cool, and was very pleasant to come into after a hard days sunbathing. There is plenty of things to do in Lanzarote but being a group of young girls from the ages of 18-26 this was mainly a clubbing holiday for us. We mostly went to Centro Atlantico, which is home to many bars. We loved going to Tequila Bar, we also liked Big Apple and Rute 66. but O'Reillys Karaoke Bar was the best, as there was such a mixed age group from 2 to 92!! and the music is fantastic. Also there are so many nice restuarants ranging from chinease, to mexican to indian, italian and of course tapas!! ther is a fab restaurant called Cafe La Ola which is right next to the Casino, which is amazing the food is superb and the setting is idillic, facing right onto the sea, Cafe la Ola has a pool and such a relaxing and chilled atmosphere i can guarentee you, you will not want to leave. i hope you find this review helpful.......and i am off to book my winter holiday to......LANZAROTE!
Great time in Lanzorote (Oasis Apartements PDC) from Yo_Mofo
Stayed at the Oasis apartements in PDC. Very clean with everything required for a one week stay. Pool was nice small bar open till 8pm. Nightlife - went for a meal with the other half then onto a bar then club. Not Ibiza but certainly enough to keep you amused while on holiday with your girlfriend. Would definitely return. People very friendly no hassles. Whether very good came back with tan even in April.

We have stayed here three times. The location is quite central although it is in a quiet part of the resort. It was a good walk back from the beach front promenade. After a meal and drinks perhaps that was a good thing. The hotel is made up of small studio type properties. The accomodation is sparse but just enough to be self catering. It is always clean and tidy. The pool is clean and the area around the pool is generally spotless. There are enough sun loungers but they could do with up dating since some had been broken for a long time. The worst problem we found were the beds that were so hard and unforgiving. It really is something the tour operators should sort out. I complained but they said that if I wanted better I would have to pay more. All in all just about value for money as a short break in the winter and I suppose I would go back again.
