We have recently just returned from our stay at Cinco Plaza & we had a great time. The resort was lovely & clean & all the staff were very friendly.
We were self catering & the apartments had everything you need for self catering. We are definitely going back again next year. There is a small shop on the complex & the staff there are also very friendly & polite.
The beach is only 3 mins walk away & this also leads you into the stretch of bars & restaurants which there are plenty to choose from. Ideal for families & couples.

Our favourite holiday yet!
The resort is lovely! It isn’t a "tacky" resort like Playa las Americas in Tenerife. However, there are lots of nice restaurants and bars to choose from, so you won't get bored. The beach was excellent (and clean!)
We did the Thomson excursion to Timanfaya National Park, with a BBQ in the restaurant after a coach ride round the volcanoes. Advice: take some travel sickness tablets! The coach ride is very bumpy and hilly! But the meal at the end made it worth it! An added bonus are the 3 random Spanish singers while you eat your tea!
The apartments were excellent- our room was spacious and clean. There are 3 pools to pick from with lots of sun loungers. There's poolside entertainment if you fancied it- although they didn't hassle you to join in too much! The apartments are also in a good location to the restaurants and beach etc.
All staff in the apartments were friendly and helpful.
We would definitely recommend this holiday to couples and families.

Excellent accommodation, apartment was cleaned every other day with linen and towel change. Laundry service available along with iron hires just one of the many facilities available on this complex. Excellent facilities for children.
Centrally located about a five minute walk from main stretch and beach. Premises were extremely secure of night and seemed quite peaceful.
Staff pleasant and helpful all seemed to speak fluent English.
Would highly recommend this complex to people of all ages.

Me and my boyfriend went to Puerto Del Carmen last year for 2 weeks. We loved it! it is really ideal for couples as there are plenty of bars and restaurants without it being like Magalluf!
The weather was brilliant and the locals were really friendly. Our apartments had a lot of Europeans rather than Brits but that didn’t bother us! I would highly recommend the resort and can't wait to go back!

I firmly believe that if you are going to give a review, give it warts and all otherwise what is the point!
Just returned from Cinco Plaza Apartments after booking a late deal on Thomsons web site. Booked and had confirmed a 2 bedroom apartment, but on arrival were given a 1 bedroom one. No 2 bedroom ones available all the holiday. Instead we were given 2 apartments near to each other, which meant our family of 4 stayed apart for all the holiday. Thomson and the hotel book separately so they had double booked apparently.
The Cinco Plaza Apartments are spotlessly clean and have everything you need except for air conditioning but there is a breeze. (You can hire fans at a charge).
There are 3 pools but you tend to use the one you are staying by otherwise you get funny stares from the people who are staying by that pool. We didn't use any of the other pools but others used ours and didn't stay long!
Unfortunately it's the same old thing with Brits abroad up at 7.00 am to put your towels on the sun beds and there are not that many beds. If you are not on them by 10.00 then someone will take them, again someone British!
Also why do parents think it is acceptable to let their youths run around the pools at 4.00 am in the morning shouting and screaming? There is no security at Cinco Plaza to stop this behaviour.
If the back view of your apartment looks out onto the hotel behind and the recycling bins God help you as the Tom Jones impressionists goes on until 1.00 and the bins are emptied at about 4.00 or 5.00 am (very loudly with orange flashing lights).
It is a short walk to the front, 5 mins not 3 unless you are sprinting, but the apartments are on a hill so bear this in mind if you are disabled or have small children as it may be ok going down (although the pavement is very slippery) but after you have walked up and down the front in the evening you have to walk back up (there are taxis though)!
If you want to escape the restaurant and pub touts cross over as on the beach side there are no buildings and you can walk hassle free and the breeze is lovely.
The time zone is the same and prices are roughly the same maybe a little bit cheaper but not much.
Beware as there are mozzies and the best cream and repellent for the bites comes from the pharmacies, forget the sprays in this country they didn't work there.
Saying all that I would go back there one day but I wouldn't go in the School holidays, Out of season is probably better.
