Just returned from holiday at the Sol Costa Blanca inBbenidorm and it was a big disappointment. Definitely not a 4 star more a 3 star. It was catered more for the Spanish in every way the food was rubbish and the entertainment extremely bad.
If you are under 40 this is not the hotel for you it was full of ignorant oap's who just looked at you with a look of disgust.
The rooms were clean and we had fresh towels every day, there is meant to be satellite TV but there is only Eurosport and CNN the rest are Spanish and German.
The pool was nice but now I know how the monkeys at the zoo feel as the hotel is situated on the beach almost everybody stops and stares in at you and almost every day non guests came in and just used the pool, plus you have to be quick in the morning if you want a lounger as there are not many.
Not enough facilities in the hotel, no games room, gym, sauna, steam room, tennis court etc.
The hotel is in desperate need of updating.
The staff were ok but very miserable looking and not very helpful.
Overall I would not recommend this hotel especially if you have kids, good location and clean but that is as far as it goes.

Been to a few hotels in Benidorm and this is by far the best. Rooms comfortable and spacious and the maids were friendly and helpful
Evening entertainment very boring, but plenty other entertainment in Benidorm. The food was excellent with plenty of choice especially if you like fish and more fish. The waiters unlike most hotels were friendly and smiled, maybe because they were older!
The hotel is centrally located on Levante Beach and close to the old town which make walking easy for the less mobile. We will go back to this hotel again.
With Globespan you get what you pay for. Our flights left on time were comfortable and you can always eat at the airport in your waiting time. Cabin staff were friendly and helpful.

ignore the previous reviews hotel staff were lovely really accomadating. although the hotel was mainly spainish so entertainment does cater for the spanish but due to the central beach front location dont really need hotel entertainment as plenty going on near by. we mainly ate out so didnot try hotel food word of warning dont visit the queens hotel in the old town unless you want to get food poision by eating raw chicken !!!! Overall hotel perfect for old and young ideal location
