Terrible unwelcoming hassle filled drama from management everyday. This place is a whole run by a woman on a terrible power control trip who has rules for some and not for all. Dirty Rude Overpriced these words sum it up for the experience we had there. The caravan was dusty and the linen was old. No towels are supplied in the linen so make sure you pack you own and your own bath mat, tea towels, warm blankets etc. Dont bother asking friends to visit if they arent staying with you, the hassle and the fee for a visitor is extortion. The washing machine and drying facilities are overpriced 2 euro for 10mins drying. They would not let us drive a car in to collect our bags on day of departure so we had to carry them out to the front gate by hand. Im not sure why as i had seen many other cars drive through. The internet connection is so slow if it works at all. I do not recommend staying here at all. Everyday you have to pay for the use of the pool. Cleaning your caravan.....beware you have to clean your van....spotlessly this is not told on arrival make sure it is very clean or you will have to pay a cleaning price..so also pack cleaning products for your holiday!! We rented our van privately the set of rules sent to us by the owners of the van and the set of rules given by the park owners are different.

This year I spent Christmas in Antibes, South of France. Actually in a Caravan, the weather was not too brillient but the caravan and site made up for it. the accomodation was clean and tidy,(double glazed) we had plenty of DVD's to watch and catch up on. It was very relaxing with our occasional walks into nearby Antibes, bus trips to Monaco and Cannes to see the wonderful christmas decorations. The 10 days were gone before we knew it. The site restaurant was a nice warm friendly experience. I now intend to visit in the warmer season. I found this site through Trip Advisor and booked via the interview www.caravans-nice-pylone.net well worth a look as you see what you get

I stayed on Camp du Pylone in August this year, we booked through Dave & Julia Brownsword www.caravans-nice-pylone.net full photos of the accommodation and description of camp site was on this web site. The accommodate was as expected clean and well equipped, very satisfactory. The site and agent Mary was also very helpful. The location was most handy for independant touring, far cheaper than the advertised operators on site. Bus fares only 1 euro. Again the best thing about the site is the reasonable restaurant - entertainment and its close vicinity to many amenities

Camping du Pylone ....Well what can i tell you. We always make sure we have good holidays wherever we go despite the place we stay in. Normally we choose well but this time we were disappointed. There is staff on the gate that checks the coming and goings of all cars that MUST use the one way system or they have to go back and start again.Any visitors to you on your camp MUST leave their car outside the premises and then their driving licence at the reception and then 5Euros --each day they visit. Inconvienant for my sister in law and new born baby who came everyday to see us. At reception we were asked to pay 100Euros as a security deposit for each mobile home,we had 2, so thats 200euros in cash (rememeber this i will come back to it later!)The site was cramped with very little room to move your car along the roads and then once at your caravan,we found there to be approx room for you car and chairs and tables(which were shackled to each other-due to theiving) between each caravan. No grass visible, just stones on an uneven ground with roots sticking up for young ones to tip over who are already unsteady on their feet. Our caravan had 3 large breeze blocks for steps which eventrually my 2year fell down and scrapped his face(even when every time he had to be escorted down them)--not child friendly even though CANVAS LIFE, CAMPING DU PYLONE and DEBBY VACANCES(whose caravans they were) all stipulated they were. The small road that run through the campsite was at the foot of all caravans ,so at no point could you let your children play safely without the fear of a car looming. Not relaxing for the adults.
The caravans were very small and scruffy. The inventory listed did not supply all that it said, all the windows opened inwards--why?????? with a request that we only open them 1/4 of the way so that it did not cause deformation of the window! Being 38-40degrees C everyday and with no air conditioning(simple fans would have been ok) opening windows fully would and should been seen as very necessary. So if you wanted the loo ,window closed ,sweaty body in tight cupboard space--not good!!!
Each caravan carried 5 people,a cot could be hired but there is only one on the site so we brought our own only to find the rooms were too small and you could not get one in there. The main bedroom also had no room and we had to stand on the bed to dress.
Besides the accomodation---Each day you use the pool this must be paid for 2euros each. We went as a family of 7 so that was 14Euros each day to use the pool. Once inside--the rules listed about 20 including no pissing in the pool--yes thats what it said. Then all the floats and sunbeds have to be hired -3 euros each-if you want to use them. The whole campsite is shabby and needs money spending on it to update it
Finally when we left--7.30am to go the airport--we had to leave 10 euros for our deposit to be posted back to us--it only cost just over 5--as we left before our MH could be checked. We were told that we would have to clean the MH our selves or pay 40Euros for it to be cleaned. We cleaned it,as said, and despite that they took 80 Euros out of the 200Euro deposit saying that our MH were left very dirty and they had to have them cleaned, which of course is a lie. We are now challenging them and the tour operators with little hope of recouping this money--great scam.
However.....!! The cote d'azua is a lovely place with many places to visit that are wonderful out side the camp we satyed at. The weather is lovely and hot and it makes for a good holiday destination--only just dont stay at the this campsite find another!!!!

First time that we booked on Internet and first time booked it all independently
Caravan was a bit tired but very clean and well worth the monies got picked up at the airport by Mary (Daughter at this years Olympics 1500 Lisa) Plane was 3 hours late but Mary was still there (return for 5 was 60.euros)
Camp site was very clean well run and at 11 00 clock no noise was allowed on the site
Club at good entertainment (Blah Blah ) was the best band and a good mixture of nations on the site
Transport was excellent buses every 20 mins to Antibes and Nice Trains around every hour to Ventimiglia in Italy and to Grasse and Cannes. Beach was pebbles but very clean to match blue skies and water wow
Only downside was the prices of beer and pop most places were 4.40 euros a pint and pop and water was 3.50 euros but you don't have to drink the beer lol Wine was very nice and only 2 euros a bottle lol
great time had booking for 2009

Camp du Pylone is a caravan park set in mature green surroundings ideally located for relaxing holidays with kids, or for the more adventurous who want to explore the Cote D'Azure.
The site itself sits along side a river and is run by very friendly staff. It has a rustic feel to it, but is well looked after and comfortable. Washing facilities are plentiful and kept in tip-top condition. Swimming pool is well supervised, and again in great condition. There's a bar, a shop and a bakery on site. Across the road is a pebbly beach that stretches as far as the eye can see in both directions. Within walking distance of Antibes itself, this is a quaint and interesting little town.
Railway station and bus service on the doorstep affording quick journeys to Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Menton, and even over the border to Italy.
Site is a brilliant base, very secure, and extremely comfortable. Many caravans have caravans occupied by their owners for most of the year, with beautiful gardens. Lovely place to be.

This was an excellent holiday, an absolutely fantastic site and the Cantabrica staff were so helpful in every way and great fun.
The lodge accommodation was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed for a week in the sun.
The nearest beach is just a few minute walk, but the best beach is in the centre of Antibes which is about 2 miles away by bus or train, which were easy to get on and generally ran on time.
The pizza place on site was fantastic and we had great weather all week. Which made it even better as we were able to use all the campsite facilities such as the massive swimming pool and the kids enjoyed all the activities on offer.
We did a day trip to Monaco/ Monte Carlo which was fantastic and full of things to see, it was great sitting at the harbour and looking at all the huge boats and looking out for famous people.
All in all this was an excellent holiday and the coach travel could not be faulted either, with plenty of stops en route it was a great way to see more of Europe, and the driver and steward on board were always on hand for whatever you needed.
And It was great not having to travel down to Gatwick and queue at the airport for ages we were picked up almost right outside our door in Swansea.

Having looked forward to our annual holiday we were met with a rather strange greeting.' Your early, you shpouldn't be here til later'. We jhad arrived at 9am SUnday instead of 2pm but a day lkater than weoriginally booked for. Site was fine. After our starnge greeting we never saw or spoke to our caravan 'hosts' again, their only visit was while we were out. One evening they were dinign two caravans awauy and totally ignored us as we walked past, just plain rude. Caravan was old and past it so maybe it was embarrasement on their part. We could have left after 10 days withpout paying. As it was we had to leave the money at rteception for them. I paid as that was how I was raised, pay for what you use. We could easily have left with our money. Only other problem was mosquitos. I had a count of 41 bites ont he day we left.
Book again, not with these people. We booked via the Pringles.
