Excellant Hotel
from Wallands
We have just returned from this hotel, it may be a 2 star but does not seem like it, I am one of those fussy people, I wanted a bath, and to be near our friends room. Gabriella did some juggling of rooms and accomodated all my requests, the rooms are lovely and clean and so is the rest of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and will do what they can to help, by giving out maps or just general information, we had a very good week here and would certainly stay again.
Relaxing 2 week break
from reana
We booked this hotel, after reading the recommendations on Tripadvisor. The outside of the hotel could do with a paint, so first impressions were not great when we pulled up outside it. We stayed for 14 nights and found it to be perfect for what we needed though. The rooms are basic, but the bed was new and comfortable. All rooms have a balcony and the bathroom was newly fitted, with a decent shower. Breakfast is basic but fine for what we wanted. The communal areas are kept clean and tidy as well as are the rooms. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes to the towns beaches, restaurant street is very close and the bus station is about 2 minutes away (great for catching the bus to Ibiza town and back). Gabriella (the manager) is fantastic - really friendly and helpful. If you want a luxury break than aviod this hotel, but we found it to be ideal for exploring Ibiza and really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely hotel...
from stefy_76
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Hotel Mediterraneo for five days and it was a really good experience. The building is really close to all the amenities in Santa Eulalia, the beach and it is also close to the bus station and the taxi ranks. It can be a bit noisy during the night because of the street but nothing that will prevent you from having a good night of sleep. The rooms are basic: forniture is quite old and could do with being updated but the matresses are new and hard and the bathrooms have just been refurbished so they look spotless; both rooms and common areas are perfectly clean. Breakfast is basic too but you can find fruit, plenty of bread, biscuits, jam, ham, cheese. The swimmingpool is a good size for the hotel, it is spotless and it's always possible to find free chairs beside it. Staff is lovely and very helpful: they are always ready to give you a hand or to tell you the best things to do; we bought our tickets to go to Formentera at the hotel and we were given sunshades for our trip there. All in all it was a really pleasant experience and we would go back again.
Lovely hotel, clean, well maintained and good value
from CouplefromBristol
We had a lovely week staying here. The hotel was excellent value for money which is why we have given it a rating of excellent. Being a 2* hotel we did not expect it to be anywhere near as nice as it was. The hotel is well maintained, clean and we had a very comfortable room. We requested a pool view and got one which was nice as the hotel does not really offer nice views. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool itself looked nice and clean but we did not spend any time around the pool area as we preferred the beach. There is also a pool bar and pool table. We stayed on a B&B basis and found the continental breakfast to be more than adequate. Every day there was french stick, bread for toast, jams and marmelades, cereals. There was always some kind of cold meat or cheese. Also on the occasional day they also put out boiled eggs, muffins or biscuits. For the price we paid this was really good and we always found plenty to eat. The location was excellent as it is only about a 7 min walk to the nearest beach. There are 2 sandy beaches right next to each other within easy reach. On the 1st beach there are no sun loungers or parasols, so if you have a beach umbrella it is probably a good idea to take it. We forgot and bought another one over there. It is also the same distance to the marina where we spent most evenings. Our favourite bar was Liquido. There is not much in the way of nightlife but there are loads of restaurants/bars to choose from for relaxing evenings with a few drinks and quiet music. The hotel is 1 min walk away from the main restaurant row. Our favourite restaurant was Daffers which offered a very reasonable 3 course menu, and all courses were very nice. We went to a couple of others on restaurant row which were fine but not as good as Daffers. If we were looking for a reasonably priced week away in the sun we would definitely return to this hotel. It was a really good find.
Clean and 'cleary a 2 star hotel'!
from Wagesbird
Hotel was ok - clearly 2 stars and definitely no more! If you're arriving late at night or early in the morning then you could have problems with the Night Porter who clearly does not have a clue at all. We booked a 3 bed room, but was told by the Night Porter that not only did they not have this room available but a 3 bedded room in this hotel 'did not exist'. This was not a good welcome at 1am in the morning after a long journey!! We then found ourselves having to share 2 beds between the 3 of us for the first night! Not easy with a 14 year old! If you have booked a triple room, I would recommend you email (via their website) or phone the hotel a few days before you get there to double check this has been arranged. This was more evident to be needed as we spoke to another family of 3 with a 15 year old who had been given 2 separate rooms and not triple as booked! However, after I had complained to the Manager / Owner about our arrival and first night she turned things around and we were given the correct room on the 1st floor - which was a bonus when lugging cases upstairs in the absence of a lift. She really couldn't have been any nicer of more helpful! It turned out that 3 bedded rooms did exist! The breakfast was poor, and we missed this most days. This was down to lack of choice and the waitress not seeming to be able to keep up with the demand so things ran out and you found yourself waiting around for her to top basic things like bread, knives etc up. On a plus side, the pool area was nice and quiet and the hotel overall is exceptionally clean. If I could change one thing it would be to update the bedroom furniture. They had very nicely updated the bathrooms, but this was let down by the old fashioned and worn bedroom furniture. If you are planning on not being in your room for very long periods of time and want a cheap hotel - this is the one for you!!! . A trip to Restaurant Street is a must - expecially the Chinese and Italian. The two bars by the marina deserve a mention too - Bar Dona Ana and The Mirage. Staff very polite and friendly. Good food too!
Lovely, small, quiet hotel with helpful staff.

We had a great holiday. The hotel is close to the town but extremely quiet at night. This means that you can have the best of both worlds; excellent restaurants and bars, lively nightlife and a peaceful nights sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable and have good bathrooms. Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and the hotel manager Gabrielle did everything that she could to make us feel welcome. We will definitely stay here again.
what more could you want
from WJT64
This is the second year we have stayed in this hotel. and i would go back again, tomorrow. The town is the best on the island, the shops are more for the locals so all produce is top class at good prices, lots of fantastic places to eat. The bus depot is 2 mins walk from the hotel, 75 cents to Ibiza town. During the day use the local ferries, fantastic views up and down the coast. Have a nice walk along the river. Local bar owners are great, local people are better. The rooms are basic but clean, some could do with a splash of paint, but so could mine at home. The pool area is great, the bar and reception area very clean and tidy. we were a party of adults (42 - 52) wanting to relax during the day and have a few drinks on an evening, this place is perfect. The hosts are worth 6 stars.
LOVED THIS HOTEL!!!
from charlotr7
My fiance and I stumbled upon the Hotel Mediterraneo when exploring the eastern part of the island of Ibiza and were pleasantly surprised! We ended up checking out of our other hotel completely to come and stay here. Perhaps the best part of our stay were our interactions with the extremely friendly, very helpful and wonderfully knowledgable staff at the hotel. Gabriella is a real sweetheart! What else did we like about this place? Well, the rooms are neat and clean, the location is perfect and conveniently right around the corner from a plethora of excellent restaurants, the water pressure in the shower is great, the continental breakfast tasty, the pool very nice and perfect for hot afternoons, internet access is available, the bar is open late, and one receives all of this at a very reasonable rate! We really did get a workout on the stairs, so if you are older or have difficulty walking, make sure you request a room on the lower level. We highly recommend the Hotel Mediterraneo. -Charlotte & Rick, New York, NY
Loved the Hotel Mediterraneo
from Kaymo
This is a 60 bedroom 2 star hotel located very centrally in Santa Eulalia just 3 streets up from 'Restaurant Row'[Calle San Vicente] and along the road from the bus station. It is extremely clean and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. The nationalities of the guests included British, German, Spanish & French whilst we were there which always appeals to us. The breakfast was more than adequate with bread, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc but if you like a cooked brekkie then this is not the place for you. We booked an air conditioned room which we found invaluable and also hired a fridge at 3.50 euros per day for the room. The in room safe also cost 3.50 euros a day but is clearly well worth the cost for peace of mind. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool & we never had a problem getting a space although we spent most of our time at the beach. We would recommend Playa des Niu Blau and Cala D'en Serra if you have a car or Playa Del Rio in Santa Eulalia. We hired our car from Hiperrentacar and found them good value. Calle San Vicente has several good restaurants & most offer a three course menu of the day at very reasonable rates. 'Royalty' has a choice of 3 different set menus - all of which were excellent & less than 14 euros per person. 'Daffers' has a fantastic range of dishes at a cost of 15 euros for 3 courses which reduces to 12.50 euros between 6.30 & 8pm. If you want to eat after 8pm at 'Daffers' you might be best to make a reservation as it gets very busy [testament to it's quality & value]. Ibiza Town is worth a visit & you'll find lots of lovely shops whilst you're wandering the streets. A walk up to Dalt Vila is very interesting & may be best to be undertaken at night as the heat can be stifling. We went to the market in Es Cana on the Wednesday which was good but the Monday night Hippy Market at Las Dalias in San Carles was a real treat & was really enjoyable. Santa Eulalia is not a totally tourist town so don't expect burger bars all over the place but there are plenty of shops to browse & bars/restaurants. It's not a clubbing area either as all the major clubs are in Ibiza Town or San Antonio but if you're looking for a reasonably quiet holiday in a very nice Ibizan town, then this hotel and Santa Eulalia are for you.
definately the best buget hotel we have ever stayed in
from A TripAdvisor Member
if you are on a buget and want a really good quality hotel, the mediterranio is maybe basic, but the rooms are of a good size, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent, the cleanliness is of a very high standard. I have stayed in all grades of hotels and some well known chain hotels and the cleaning did not come close to the mediterranio, the cleaner spent an average of thirty minutes a room even the doors were washed down. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, they really go out of their way to do everything that you request, the only thing that let it down in my opinion was the snack bar and no tea/coffee facilities in your room, but this is only my personal veiw, also at breakfast there was not much in the way of selection but there was plenty of it and the food was fresh. There is a small pool it is very clean, it is also nice and quiet there as the hotel is located just above the main resort, the beach is a five minute stroll and resturaunt street is only a two minute walk, all in all this is a great hotel for anyone, we have booked another stay in july and are looking forward to returning

A small, basic, but clean hotel. Situated 5 mins walk from the beach, 2 mins from the "Street of cafes". The staff at the the hotel are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is continental style, so don't expect a full english, but the milk they use for the cereals etc. is... more
