Our family spent a very enjoyable week at the Natura Hotel, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote in July.
We have two young boys, 7 and 10 and were looking for a holiday which had a high standard of accommodation in a quiet setting, but having plenty of interest for the boys. We were not disappointed. The Hotel was beautiful and clean, the two pools were lovely and the food was superb. The in house entertainment was a little amateur but as a family we enjoyed it and took it in the nature is was intended. The staff at the hotel were courteous and recognised us from our last stay.
The restaurant had a variety of cuisine so there was something for everybody, and they held two special themed evenings a week. The hotel itself is a 20 minute walk to the main resort of Playa Blanca or a 3 minute drive (taxi cost 2-3 Euro). The entertainment team came round the guests during the day organising water polo, ball games etc but were not too intrusive.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, well worth it's 4 star rating, and will be returning next year.

What a wonderful holiday!
In all 6 of us went to Lanzarote (4 adults - one wheelchair bound and 2 children aged 7 and 5). We were all a bit worried about the 'Grotty Lanzarote' title for the island and the disabled facilities for my father. However on landing on the island - we were totally amazed by the beauty of the landscape and the friendliness of the people. Thomson had even managed to arrange a minibus for our family ( even though they had a coach for everyone else) with a lift to get the wheelchair onboard. Excellent!
On arriving at the hotel (about 30 mins from airport) we were all speechless. The lobby was vast and impressive, clean and air-conditioned. The hotel staff were always helpful and courteous.
The rooms were big and clean with air-conditioning that could be self-controlled. My parents had been allocated with a disabled adapted room - and although there was always enough space to manoeuvre the wheelchair - the facilities such as a swivel seat in the bath, raised toilet seat and grab rails weren’t there. ( We had been promised these by contacting the hotel before travelling!) Having said this, the Manager Andreau found a mobility shop in Lanzarote and hired the necessary equipment immediately.
The hotel is accessible for wheelchair users as everything is flat or has ramps for access. There are 2 sets of lifts to all floors and there are disabled toilets within the male and female toilets in the hotel.
Beach towels for each guest was a fantastic idea and insured people couldn’t save sunbeds as everyone had the same kind of towel!! The climate was wonderful also - as the hotels location was right on the sea front - the breeze was cooling and refreshing, even though the temperature was approx 28C.
The food was excellent and there was always plenty. It was a buffet style both at breakfast and dinner - so even my fussy 5 year old found something she enjoyed!
We always felt safe at the hotel and the relaxing environment was fantastic. I even let the children go on their own to the kids club - something I would never have dreamed I could have done previously. The children enjoyed all aspects of the holiday - the mini-club, the pool, the food and the mini-disco every night. They even enjoyed the BINGO! We all had a go at some kind of daily entertainment session - I even learnt some Spanish!
If I had to think of something negative to say it would have to be some aspects of the evening entertainment. It was a little repetitive with 2 tribute bands and 2 dance groups in one week. Having said that the Spanish dancers were wonderful and the Chinese acrobats were breath-taking.
All in all a wonderful holiday - we hope to go back in October!!

Wonderful holiday made perfect by excellent hotel. Lovely location, far enough away from town to enjoy the peace but near enough to be able to travel on foot.
Roomy accommodation with friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Great restaurant with more than enough; great variety of food available. Air-conditioned throughout.
Only downside was the smokey entertainments hall, not very nice, especially as there were a lot of children using the hall. Overall, very good stay, would visit again.

This hotel was really lovely. As soon as we walked into the main foyer we knew we had picked a great hotel , fantastic architecture. The hotel was very clear and tidy with fantastic staff that were very helpful and friendly. We had a room with double bed , balcony , lovely sofa / bed , mini bar , writing desk , bathroom with bath , shower etc. The room was cleaned daily and beds changed daily. The food at this hotel was buffet style. There was plenty to chose from with a different theme every night. The chefs cooked the meat / fish that you chose while u watched. The staff in the dining area were very helpful and the service was speedy.
Entertainment - kids club which our son did not use as he was 12 and preferred to play around the pool with the other kids. There were daily games in the pool (water polo) and games of football etc which my son and husband loved. It helped that the entertainment staff were good fun and spoke fluent English. There was nightly entertainment starting with a kids disco and then followed by the main entertainment which was always of a high quality. For those wanting some peace you could go to the piano lounge or go into one of the large lounges to play cards etc.
There is a dive centre only a five min walk from the hotel.
We often went a walk into Playa Blanca which was approx 20 min walk along a path by the sea which in some places was not very well lit but a nice walk. Playa had a good selection of bars and places to eat. We generally caught a taxi back which cost a few pounds.
We hired a car which was well worth it and explored.
All in all a fantastic hotel that I would go back to . Only problem is I now compare every hotel to this and none have lived up to Natura Palace yet!

Perfect holiday!! Took my two young children 2 years and 4 month old. Couldn’t ask for better service. Staff friendly food fantastic. Children’s club and disco brill. Evening entertainment varied from excellent to medium but on the whole very good. We had a suite and the view was amazing. Everywhere was immaculate and clean and cleaned everyday.. Pool garden public toilets everything! May be a little bit boring for older children (teens). But we didn’t want to leave.. Will be returning next year.
