Just returned from a week at the Natura Palace Hotel in Lanzarote. The hotel is really well appointed.
The food was good and varied and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a two for one deal through Thomson which made it really good value.
A word of warning : this is not the hotel and Playa Blanca is not the resort for you if you want wild nightlife. (not in February anyway), the entertainment was nothing special. However, if you want a quiet break in a good hotel then Natura Palace is highly recommended.
A seafront promenade runs past the hotel to the town centre which is about two miles away. The Marina with boutiques, cafes, shops and the Saturday market is another mile.
Like a previous comment, the Thomson flight was cramped to the extreme, buy the extra legroom seats in advance (very expensive to upgrade at the airport), but also complain to Thomson, if enough do maybe they'll increase the space for cattle class passengers.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and it seems to get better with each visit.
The hotel is very spacious and as a very relaxing feel to it, the rooms are a reasonable size and most of them overlook the sea from very nice balconies.
The food and service in the restaurant is very good and hardly any waiting to be shown to your table.
The pool area is excellent with two pools and plenty of sunbeds.
We will certainly be returning to this hotel again.

I have just returned from the Hotel Natura Palace in Playa Banca, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was spotless, our room was in a perfect position overlooking the sea and both pools, all staff and Thompson’s reps friendly and always willing to help. Although Playa Blanca was a quiet area, if you are looking for a relaxing break in an amazing hotel then it’s a perfect holiday.

Just got back from our 4th visit in as many years and have already booked our 5th.
If it’s a complete rest and wind down, this is the place to go. The hotel is magnificent, so much space.
Food although not a varied as a couple of years ago is fine. Always plenty of choice. I agree with a previous review that a few more staff would be helpful to speed clearing away used plates.
The piano/lounge bar is comfy and spacious, but service is slow. We preferred to use the bar just across the road.
Our room was on the 2nd floor with pool views. Nice large balcony and cleaned every day.
The pool area is good, with plenty of sun loungers and never gets busy.
Taxis into Playa Blanca are 3-4 Euros or if you prefer a good 30 mins walk.
Hotel is not really suited for teenagers, as there is not much for them to do.
Overall, excellent hotel.

Thomson flight -terrible, cramped (Row 33) Bite the bullet and pay the extra for "premium" seats. Cabin crew outbound grumpy and unhelpful and only seemed interested in selling stuff. I stood for 20 minutes by loos stretching and rubbing my legs nobody asked if I was ok!
Hotel - Lovely, spacious (lobby 5 stories high, and 165 metres wide) Staff - lovely, friendly helpful. Room - spacious, clean, comfortable. Ours overlooked pool - get room on second story or higher if you can, most overlook pool. Great views. Food - OK, varied and plentiful BUT often hot food was not hot only lukewarm.
Hot plates would help - only found to the right of "show cooking" (where you wait for whatever is being cooked, usually 4 choices). I often resorted to putting my food in microwave.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, good food, plenty of space, average entertainment.
Thomson reps were a let-down (as usual)!
Decent tea-pots that don't spill the contents everywhere would be nice, as would labelling of some of the puddings.
A great hotel. Sparkle up the entertainment a bit and maybe it will be 10 out of 10 next time!

I have just returned from a week's stay at the Natura Palace and to be honest I wish I had stayed longer! The hotel itself is fantastic, very clean, very spacious, very light and the staff couldn't do enough to help us, (although I couldn’t say the same about my Thomson Rep).
On arrival we were really pleased with our room, we were floor one and had a fabulous view over the pool and the sea. For me the biggest let down on this holiday was the lack of Entertainment in the evenings. We are a young couple, who luckily only wanted to chill out for a week, but we were disappointed with the evening entertainment.
The Piano Bar was a very nice area to sit, and the pianist was good, with a range of different instruments, but I have to say the violinist was a bit of a disappointment, she was very talented, but it created a very somber mood, which isn't really what you go on holiday for.
We ended up buying jugs of Sangria at the bar and taking them up to our balcony most nights. We did go into Playa Blanca one night, it is a little more lively, but it is more restaurants than bars. We were extremely happy with the food in the restaurant; I am a very fussy eater and found at least 3 different courses a night to eat. The food was fabulous and so was the service, although I do agree with the other reviews that there wasn't a lot of choice for kids.
I would return to the Natura Palace, but I would take a stereo with me so that we could have a little music to listen to. It’s perfect for a chill out!

Just returned from a two week break with my husband and son (age 3). The Natura Palace is a lovely hotel, location is good if you are looking for a quieter holiday as it is nice and quiet but plenty of restaurants and bars within a short taxi trip costing about 4 euros.
The rooms and very nice and are cleaned thoroughly every day. Food ok, not a patch on the Princess hotels, we paid for half board and ended up eating out for 6 nights. Don't tend to cater at all for young children.
One downside for families is that the Hotel tends to give you rooms on the (-1) floor, below reception, these rooms overlook the gardens for safety but not much of a view and lizards were a problem so we had to move room.
I agree with other reviews re the bar, there is only one in the hotel and they are so slow. The hotel lacks an outside bar.
My biggest disappointment was the air conditioning - it was fine during the day but at night it was so hot in the rooms and it could not be adjusted as the air con is hotel controlled according to outside temperatures. We heard lots of people complaining about this at reception. It was much cooler outside but the doors could not be opened as the one night we tried this my son got bitten badly by mosquitoes.
Would never return to the hotel due to this.

What a beautiful Hotel the Natura Palace is. My friend and I enjoyed two weeks there and found very little to fault. The Hotel is bright, spacious and spotlessly clean, the choice and quality of food available was superb and service in the dining room efficient and friendly. Our large sea facing room where we fed the local sparrows who visited daily overlooked the manicured gardens and the crazy golf course.
The Natura Palace is a wonderfully relaxing Hotel and quietly situated. The only noise you hear is the birdsong and waves rolling in against the rocks. Across the road there is a small bar and supermarket where you can stock up on essentials. Playa Blanca itself remains very attractive and is only a short taxi ride away.
The only downside to the Hotel for us was the Hotel bar- it was very difficult to get a drink in the evening as it seemed to be very understaffed when we were there. That apart I will return again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Hotel, good food and total relaxation.

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Natura Palace. What a fantastic hotel! My husband. Two sons (aged 19 and 21) and myself had the most wonderful time.
We thought the hotel was stunning, extremely clean and comfortable and with excellent service. We could not find any thing at all to complain about and would highly recommend it.
We intend to return as soon as we are able to.

This stay at the Natura Palace was our forth time and what a shock we got with how the service etc., had deteriorated.
The restaurant was in our view totally understaffed because at every meal time there were queue's at the entrance and when you did manage to get inside all you could see was empty tables with dirty pots on them, even whilst we were eating our meal the dirty plates from the previous course's were still on the table.
Also in the restaurant the meal portions have been reduced so far that we doubt that they would satisfy a young child. We also found that quite a lot of the food on display and being served was cold.
The Bars in the hotel are supposed to operate so that there is at least one open all day until 1am. But we found that if you were out for the evening and arrived back after around 11-30pm you will most probably miss out on a nightcap because the bar staff will have locked up and gone home.
The Hotel is in a beautiful place and should be a top class place but whatever has happened to the staff is effecting the running of the hotel and at what we saw you cannot call this a Platinum Hotel or even a 4* Hotel. As I said to start with this was our forth visit to the Natural Place Hotel and each other visit we have been full of praise for every thing to do with the Hotel. So something must be going on and someone on the management side must know about these things.
After the week we had we have decided that no way can we return again to the Natura Palace Hotel unless we hear that things have changed for the better.

we are returning to this hotel again on thurs 24/04 as it is superb!
the rooms are very well kept and spacious, food was very good and varied along with special themed nights throughout the stay.
we had our first visit here on our honeymoon and keep returning as lanazarote is such a lovely relaxing place!!
it is as said before a quiet hotel so you will be dissapointed if you expect a party atmosphere, but playa blanca town is a cheap taxi ride away!
would definately recommend
