Feb 2007, Mrs L Downs

Apartment size was excellent, two bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
Fully fitted kitchen (better than my one at home) with oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. They provide milk/water in fridge on arrival and the apartment has teabags/coffee/sugar etc also.
Apartment could have done with a cosmetic refurbishment i.e. new curtains, newer furniture etc but not enough to spoil our stay there.
Our apartment overlooked the heated pool which was south facing and therefore got the sun all day - fabulous for staying out of the wind!
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and would always assist you with any queries.
The pool bar has entertainment on at night but it is only the local magician/reptile show/samba dancers - however venue lacks any kind of atmosphere and I would say that was our only criticism of these apartments.
Costa Teguise is an excellent resort with something for everyone, good choice of family bars and restaurants and entertainment galore if you want it.
This is not your usual Blackpool with sun resort, although I imagine it might be during the high season. Would definitely return to this resort and these apartments.

On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of restaurants and bars on our doorstep - loads of choice!
In addition, the beach is close by but we were on holiday for a relaxing break in the sun-shine and didn't really need to venture from our holiday complex.
The weather was great - high 70s and the complex contained everything we were looking for, ie two pools (one heated), bar, Internet access etc.
We will definitely be visiting again.
For those who are seeking fun bars/nightclubs/discos etc, then it's probably not overly suitable. Puerto Del Carmen is no far away and hosts many nightspots.
It can be cold in the evenings so be sure to take a warm garment.

As timeshare owners we did an exchange through Dialanexchange. The Oasis Lanz Club was our exchange, as previous reviewers have said staff great, gardens ok what let this place down was the apartment. Shabby to say the least holes in the curtains, 1"cigerette burns on bedside tables, rust along the bottom of the fridge, dirty water mark in the bath, settee dirty and worn out, burn marks on the kitchen worktop touched up with white paint, the seat in one of the dining chairs broken through, I could go on and on and this in a timeshare, I would be heartbroken if this was our timeshare. With out sounding snobby it was an apartment that I would expect to get in a package holiday and would still complain about it. Oasis Lanz give it a miss until you can guarantee a sound apartment. Costa Teguise a great place lovely beaches and restaurants. Shame about the Oasis Lanz.

Jul 2006, Mrs Pm Flood

Had a fantastic holiday in Oasis lanz.
We had a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom massive apartments with everything in it you could want. When we arrived we had a bottle of water, milk, tea and coffee to welcome us, there was a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, micro and full size cooker and fridge, also a hairdryer, ironing board and iron. I have never been in such a fully equipped apartment.
We paid £230 with www.go2spain for 2 weeks 2 adults, our friends paid £185 for a 1 bedroom which was just as good. We flew from Cardiff with Thomsonfly for £277. + £24 for meals. We had a shuttle for 4 people costing £34 total that’s £17 for us 2 return. Total Holiday £549, still cant believe it, to go with Thomson would have cost us £1470.
The apartments were in an ideal position near to everything but very peaceful, some of these are timeshare so there are no reps around the pool it is very peaceful. Maybe not suitable for children. There is everything in Costa Teguise you could want, no lager louts, its very safe and on the flat. Plenty of bars and restaurants with or without music within 2mins walk.
As an animal lover I was impressed that the Oasis lanz have 2 cats which they have had neutered and look after, they have a donation box on reception to help pay for food.
Will definitely go back to these fab apartments

These apartments are VERY clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week during half term in February and it was really quiet!
There are 2 swimming pools one is heated, the colder pool was not used at all by anyone during our stay. We traveled around the whole island and were very pleased we had picked Costa Teguise. Arreceife is like London with a small beach and Puerto De Carmen is like Blackpool.
Costa Teguise has a lovely beach and loads of restaurants, bars and cafe's. We were concerned about the no smoking rule passed in January 2006 (being someone who enjoys a cigarette) but each establishment has a poster on the door - red for non smoking (every one had a smoking area though!) and a green poster for smoking allowed.
So don't listen to the hype about not being to smoke anywhere on the island! In all a good stay but not in a mad rush to re visit Lanzarote.

My wife and I joined this travelclub...

Nov 2004, morty

My wife and I joined this travelclub after attending a promotion following an unsolicited telephone call in march,03.. We paid about £2000. which gave us 5years membership which we could extend with a further £2000.
Plus an annual £25 to keep the option open? We tried on a few occasions to get more info from the pro mo group and it took a few months before we had any success in getting any info about travel or any brochures relating to holiday destinations. We were told to phone the booking office and they would fix everything up for us.
Because of a mistake on their part we were booked on a holiday some months ago that we did not want, a bed and breakfast only hotel. We wanted self-catering but as we understood it the breakfast was an additional item. As it was we paid our money for the holiday as we thought and the flights. When they emailed me with the details, I immediately cancelled everything by return email. They kept my money and said they would be deducting a cancellation fee. I had pain by MasterCard and tried to get my money back. No way they said. What we will do we will keep all your money and set it aside and you can book another holiday of your choice. I got my airline money back less their cancellation fee. This was way ahead of the actual travel date. Weeks.
We have just this week returned from the holiday that we managed to get from them.
We had 14 days in the resort at Costa Teguise which is about 15Euro from Arrecife in a taxi, and is a well laid out complex of apartments of 1 or 2 bedrooms with the usual requirements in the small kitchen for cooking, balcony overlooking the pool with the usual pool bar etc. change your travel checks outside in the banks or the other small retailers who offer better rates.
The weather was pretty warm most days, a couple of days when it rained, but as normal at this time of year quite windy in the afternoon and cool in the evenings. Plenty of bars and restaurants for all kinds, Irish bars Scottish bars and English bars all with satellite and all with Sky Sport, so not short of any footy to watch,.
Okay we thought that contrary to what this travel club say (four and five star accommodation at two and three star prices) We would say no way.
It has taken us till now to get a holiday with them.
We realise that these apartments are timeshare lets which are now becoming available to these clubs, because more and more owners are now trying to sell their timeshare.
We enjoyed our holiday and would go back to Costa Teguise.
We have since joined DWVC, so you say from one fire into an inferno,. Will we get better treatment from them for our money, or any money back, as they say happens after 5 years.
They haven’t been long enough in business to prove this.
And their present actions fall short of their joining talks.
I will let you know in the future.

May 2003, Mrs J Wiggett

My family and I have stayed at the Oasis Lanz on two occasions, the first being in Nov 02 and then again in May 03. We would definitely come back to the Oasis Lanz again.
We have stayed in both the 2 bedroom superior and 1-bedroom apartments. They are spacious, well equipped, maintained and very clean. The staff here are knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly. Its ideal for families with young children and there is plenty of activity going on for all ages. Both main pools and gardens are very clean, pretty and well maintained. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate area and a well-stocked snack bar by the main reception pool. The main beach is a few minutes walk away and the last time we stayed we didn’t even bother to hire a car as local buses go to all the other resorts and do many of the excursions the big tour companies charge a fortune for. However, I don’t think they offer insurance that many of the tour companies would include in their charge. Teguise is also a good choice for disabled people as it is pretty flat and the shopping area has ramps for wheelchairs.
There are also excellent medical centres in Teguise - we know this as unfortunately we had to visit one on our last stay! The medical staff in Teguise were very good and we didn’t have to wait in Triage for hours to be seen - not like in the UK!!
I would recommend however, if you are staying at the Oasis Lanz, then hire a taxi when you arrive at the airport because the last time we stayed, the coach laid on by the Tour Company was unable to stop directly outside the accommodation - they didn’t tell us this - because of some parking law preventing a stop outside the Oasis Lanz Club and we had to walk 300yds or so to the accommodation with children and heavy suitcases. Taxi hire is very cheap on the island.
We have recommended the Oasis Lanz to our friends and would come back again in the future. We would definitely book direct next time and not go through a major tour operator.
