Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Oasis Lanz. The location is brill for bars, restaurants and supermarkets. There are three beaches within 5 minutes walking distance, follow the promonade! The weather was very hot with a nice breeze.
The Oasis Lanz apartments were good, the location could not be better and the apartments are very spacious. However, I have to agree that they could do with a little updating - especially the bathrooms. Also, the sofa beds were uncomfortable, so book a 2 bed apartment!
A really lovely restauarant is Villa Toledo by Playa Bastien beach - great food and a seafront location.
Don't let the comments about the 'tired' apartments put you off - Costa Teguise is brill and a great place to have a holiday. The apartments could be a lot worse!
We will definitely be going back to Lanzarote!

Having got back this morning from Oasis Lanz i thought i would pen a few words. In short the apartments are basic but clean and in need of slight modernisation. The club grounds themselves are immaculate however and the pool area and bar are lovely (as are the staff).
The location could not be better placed with all restaraunts/bars/shops within 400 meters and there is a nice beach to be discovered at the rear of the building which is only a short walk away.
The only downsides to the apartments are the beds (which are at best uncomfortable) and the fact that you have to pay extra for a safety deposit box and 4 euros a day to use the television.In summary if you are after a cheap apartment in a great location then you could do worse-just remember to pack a mattress if you intend to sleep!

As all other review have said. Yes these apparments are in need of updating but it wouldn't put me off going there again. In fact already pricing for later on in the year. Beds not very comfortable, try and get a 2 bedroom if possible 'cos bed seatee not the best. All staff very friendly. 2 lovely pools, all amenities are free and they even supply the tennis raquets and balls. Not noisy at all. Sun beds not to be kept but as any other holiday i've been on, up at 8 for sun beds. Appartments are in prime location for all banks, supermarkets,chinese and indian restaurants, shops, bars, restaurants, chemists and beach. Costa Teguise is fab and would recommend but ladies need a jacket in the evenings 'cos it's really breezy. Would recommend the Dolphin bar, lisa, naomi and ian are brill, great fun pub and lush food. Also splash is great. In fact they're all great. Excursions can be expensive with the tour operator but there are 2 shops that you can book part trips and full trips on and are cheaper. Can't wait to go back. Enjoy

we have just arrived back from oasis lanz apartments, the accomodation is awful. On arrival we entered our room to find it looked very shabby, the wardrobe door handle fell off as we opened it, the fridge was leaking the ceiling fans were rusty, dirty and were coming loose from the ceiling!!!
The bathroom smealt very damp, and the bath was rusty, the pull out sofa in the living area had seen better days,and was very uncomfortable.
On a better note, the pools and gardens were nice and the apartments are centrally located, with lots of restaurants nearby.

this is one of the best family holidays we have had. the place has something for everyone i would nt recomend the water park as its so expensive . the beer and food very good value and if you like chines you will be spioled for choice and there realy cheap the smaller beach is best and there are plenty of supermarkets .

We nearly cancelled when we we saw some of the reports on various ratings sites and when we arrived we had a couple of issues (1 cistern wouldn't fill up and one bathroom light wouldn't switch on properly)- we went out for some supplies and by the time we got back both issues fixed.
Although the apartment had probably seen better days and probably needed a few quid spent on it it was clean and somewhere to use as a base. Fully fitted kitchen - 4 ring hob with hood, full size fridge and freezer, oven and microwave all worked but we never used them. The bedrooms were clean (although one of the built in wardrobes had a "musty" smell there was plenty of other storage space to use)
Oasis Lanz Club is in an excellent location 5-10mins stroll from 2 excellent sandy beaches and 1 more which is rocky rather than sand.
This place doesn't say anywhere it's 5 star so don't expect 5 star apartments but the service from all the staff certainly is 5 star. The "club" has a 2 key rating (Thomson give it 3 stars) which is certainly fair, everything was clean and tidy especially the gardens and pools which are a real credit to the staff. The maids were in every day cleaning and the bedding was changed 2-3 times a week.
The atmosphere whilst we were there was certainly family orientated and very relaxed. The pool bar was very reasonably priced and the food and drink very good indeed. (try the Sangria freshly made by Esty!) entertainment was normally finished by 11pm and the bar closed about midnight (depending on how busy it was.)
For food try Lanis Grill, the Waterfront Pub or Mowtown's (small english bar) and if it's chinese you're after Jumbo's buffet can't be beaten for quality, value and entertaining the kids. For excursions we found Last Minute to be the most keenly priced.
In summary would we go back - you bet! We didn't find any of the horror story mouldy pillows, broken beds or dirty towels others have reported.
If you're going say "Hola" to Sylvester the cat from us.

just returned from two weeks at oasislanz and it was lovely wish we were still there,Theres something for everyone food is reasonable prices but for the pound even in some places they wouldnt let you leave a tip like the british cafe and another place cant remeber name i would definetly recomend it to families. When you touch down on plane your in your apartment within a hour . There was a german old couple round our pool and if you went for drink they would turn up and move your towel and put theres on seems they never change/ that didnt spoil our holiday though we had a fantastic time there and will be going back..

We have just got back from 2 weeks stayin at the oasis lanz hotel.We had a great time and would definatly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was kept very clean. When we first got there and got into our room the door handle did actually fall off but we went straight down to reception and they told us it would be fixed, and by the time we got back to the room the man was already there fixing it. The apartment it self was clean and we had no problems. The location was fantastic, all shops, bars and nice beaches just couple of minutes walk. The restuarants are all really nice. we really enjoyed 21st century chinese, which is next to the punta jabillo shoppin place,if you go out the hotel its just to the right. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly to us, as we went in 3 times! If you are interested in goin on different excursions,use customer travel, which is just down the road oppposite teguise playa hotel.we would say definatly go on the grand tour. best way to see the whole island and see some awesome places that you will never see anywhere else. They were excellent at organising the trips and we did 4 with them which we really enjoyed. The only downside was that we went quite early, first week of may, and there wasnt many people. But we will definatly be goin back, and we'll be staying at the same apartment. :)

Just got back from a weeks holiday at the Oasis lanz hotel. The resort was quiet but I think this was because of the credit crunch and the time of year. We also found it quite expensive due to the exchange rate being so poor at the moment. There are small black stones (volcanic rocks) surronding the trees and plants which my daughter and other children seem to be drawn too. DON'T let your kids play with them the cause eye infections. The bed was really smelly as stated in previous reviews but room was very clean and maids come in regular. I would recommend Saxo's family bar for a night out on a Monday as its family night with all the kids reps. Saxo's have a happy hour 8.30-9.30 buy one alcoholic drink get one free. This was not my best holiday and not my worst it was just OK.
