I visited this complex last year on a whim booking with just myself and my 3 children aged 7 4 and 1. Had never been here before, nor Portugal, so was wary. However, I could not have asked for a better first exoerience of Portugal. Upon arrival, which I was very early!, the reception did there best to ensure that we were given our keys asap, despite the fact that really we shouldnt have been able to check in till 2. Once in our, I wont say apartment, because it is like a mini house, the kids were in their element. 3 floors giving, open plan lounge/diner/kitcehn, fully fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, they went upstairs to discover 2 large bedrooms, and modern bathroom, tehn stairs to the fab roof terrace that lets you see for miles and is a fabulous sun trap inthe afternoons when the baby was napping!!! we also had a great front garden that was hedged, so enclosed for the baby to play and an open plan rear garden, fully kitted out with sun loungers, mattresses nad dining table and chairs. Really a home from home!!! The complex itself was lovely and quiet, and we were always guaranteed a place by the pool. The kids loved it and it was ideal for someone like me holidaying on there own with young children as I and they felt safe. There was absolutely no security issues, as at night all the windows and dorrs have shutter blinds that you roll down, so no threat of being broken into. There is a supermarket about a 15 minute walk away which stocks everything, including some of the best seafood i have ever tasted!!! The beaches are a 15 mins stroll also. Yes there is a very steep one with steps down, but well worth it as its so secluded that there was only me, kids and one local on it!!! in the next cove there is an easier accessible beach which whilst busy is not overly crowded. But if you were to walk further along the coast there is that many little coves you are spoilt for choice. The free shuttle bus to the main town is also really helpful. As you can see we had a fab time, and after returning to Portugal some 6 weeks later and staying in Vilamoura, I can definitely say that this complex is my favourite for peace and quiet and quality family time. After all we dont all want night clubs lined up. So it was that good that I am returning this year, and this time bringing hubby cos he reckons it cant be as good as i say, so im about to prove him wrong.!!!!!

I've just returned from a holiday in Quintinha village with my young family and would thoroughly recommend it. The accomodation is very new and clean and the complex is quiet and friendly and suitable for families. There is a lovely pool which was never too crowded with a cafe/bar beside it. There is a lovely beach nearby but it does have steep steps leading down so not suitable for a buggy/pushchair. Alternatively there is a great beach in the nearby town and the resort has buses to take you there. The town is lovely and there are loads of places for kids nearby - Zoo Marine, Slide and Splash.

Be very careful if staying here.
My 18 yr old daughter and her two friends were burgled on their first night here. A back door was jemmied open and their bags stolen. The receptionist apparently did not seem surprised and when visiting the scene went straight to the back door without being told as if she knew how it had happened. Perhaps this has happened before?
A family staying next to the girls had already told them not to leave anything lying around outside, towels etc as they had had stuff stolen.
I hope the management take notice and act appropriately - is clearly a problem here. Be warned.
