Lord Byron Hotel Reviews
" Recently took a week holiday with... "
Submitted By: Miss K Araoye
Recently took a week holiday with Solitair to Italy Ischia. Never ever again!!!
The overall travel transfer times are not clearly communicated from this company. I left the uk airport at 3.00pm and arrived at the hotel well after midnight. 35 min car transfer from Naples to ferry port, 70 mins ferry crossing, then a further 35 mins car transfer to Hotel) Not conveyed on Solitair's website. Website has a testimonal from a female traveller from 2006, when the hotel was owned by an english lady. The hotel is now owned by an Italian family. An up to date testimonal needs to be on site. But maybe Solitair have not received any new compliants in the last two years.
The continental breakfast and evening meals were apalling, stale bread offered. Evening meal was veal unable to eat runny with blood and hard to cut. Uncooked pasta meal. Supermarket bought icecream...Italians are renowed for quality icecream.
Bedrooms were damp and had cockroches, air-conditioning did not work in bedroom. Shower tray leaked water onto bathroom floor unable to run a full shower.
The hotel management ignored the complaints of customers and continued to serve unediable food. If anyone has ever watched the comedy series 'Faulty Towers' this hotel does a brillant intrepretation.
Myself and other english guests have complained to Solitair. There reply letter was very patronising.
Avoid this Holiday company at all costs. They take your money and are unconcerned about what holiday experinece you have.

Travelled with Solitair on my first singles holiday, to Ischia. Totally superb. Couldn't fault Lord Byron or any of it, except I wished I'd have booked 2 weeks instead of 1. Hotel Lord Byron was great, excellent food, great location and superb Italian hospitality!!
Sometimes I wonder are other reviews written by people from the same planet! Thank you Lord Byron staff for making my stay Perfect!
