Le Querce Hotel

My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at Le Querce, Ischia and being mature travellers we can say quite confidently that the hotel and Ischia itself are absolutely perfect for relaxing and vitalizing holiday. My girlfriend and I recently returned from a fantastic, romantic holiday in Ischia, staying at Hotel Le Querce for one week. We booked the holiday through Thomas Cook. The travel arrangements to and from the island (plane, taxi, hydrofoil, taxi) went like clockwork and the rep was helpful. We have just returned from Hotel Le Querce in Ischia and had a very relaxing stay. First mention must go to Enzo on reception who is a credit to the hotel - we arrived just as dinner was ending and were exhausted after a long day travelling. Enzo could not have been more welcoming - greeted us by name and gave us lots of useful information about beaches and getting about the island. had a lovely eight nights at this hotel. The staff were friendly and gave us great advice on beaches to visit etc. the hotel itself was really peaceful with nice facilities and a beautiful view of the bay of Naples from our room. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few nights and really enjoyed it. This hotel is in a peaceful position and you can take a short taxi ride to the town of Ischia which has shopping, more places to eat and drink. We have holidayed in Italy many times before but not this island, and we absolutely loved it.

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor we went ahead with our booking and were very pleased with the hotel. It was well placed on a hill about 15 mins walk down hill to town and 20 mins up hill back - buses stop outside the gate and are very frequent. It was very clean with beautiful views and efficient staff. It is basically a spa hotel and the staff are respectful and helpful although not over friendly. Their main purpose is to serve the guests and provide what they ask for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Please do not listen to the comments on unfriendly staff and the lack of vegetarian meals. This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The setting is beautiful, food lovely and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. People have to remember that being a vegetarian in italy is non exisitent, they love fish, meat etc etc and if the italians were to come over here and demand seafood and fresh pasta everyday i'm sure you would get pretty annoyed too!! My Husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We found the hotel to be well located with excellent views over the bay of naples. After reading a recent review we were a little apprehensive, but thankfully our worries were unfounded. The food was superb with a good choice, there was a good mix of guests, of all nationalities. Stay at this hotel as part of a multi centre with the first week spent at the Grand President in Sorrento. Arriving at this hotel, from Sorrento, we were disappointed that our room was not ready on arrival and that the original room we were allocated when we first arrivied we were now being told that this was a superior room and we would have to pay an extra charge per night for this room. This hotel has a singular lack of regard for its customers The food for vegetarians was non existent when at its best; at its worst it was repetitive and boring. After numerous complaints the head waiter and the reception manager they agreed with my holiday rep that they would cook us something special HA! I have just returned from a short...very short stay at Le Querce Hotel and I am already planning my trip back , but for longer. The Hotel, four star rating, is conveniently located in the side of Ischia Porto, at only five miuntes by taxi or the picturesque microtaxi ( what experience ) immersed into the green and facing the entire Gulf.
