We arrived at the plaza Azul in good spirits after what we had read on the review sites, stating that the plaza azul is a great place to stay ,believe me this is a total lie! When we arrived we went to our room which was on the ground floor, the entrance to the apartment was through patio doors which were totally unsafe and could of easily been broken into. The apartment was in complete darkness due to there being shutters on the windows. i took my shoes of ready to unpack and within 2 minutes my feet were covered in dirt, the floor... more

After spending some time researching accomodation in Lanzarote we are really pleased we chose the Plaza Azul. One bedroom apartment was spotless, bright, nice balcony with almost everything we needed ( No hairdryer ladies but you can rent one from reception for 9 Euro !!) Apartments were really quiet while we were there but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Supermarket not great, use one of the others on the hill. The staff at Plaza Azul were so friendly and welcoming and couldnt have done more to make our stay more comfortable. The apartments were immaculate and cleaned 5x in our 7 night holiday, we had a balcony off the lounge overlooking the pool and a second smaller balcony off the bedroom. The pool and gardens were maintained every day, all in all a really lovely place to stay...... we got home and booked up to go again this summer.

hey!! i am staying in plaza azul apartments the last 8 years i love it, the staff are so nice, its a safe place, and just down the road from the beach and niteclubs . plaza azul is suited 4 every1 couples, family and young people. once you stay in plaza azul you will want to go back again and again!! i met so many friends in plaza azul and 1 still works their "jamie" and he is one of my closes friends, so if you are wondering weather 2 stay in this hotel r not ,DO!! You wont regret xxx

I thought Plaza Azul's location could not be faulted along with it's clean, light apartments and friendly staff who were always on hand to help. The apartments were a good size and the balcony area was great for sunbathing during the day (we were lucky enough to be facing the sun) and having sangria and food during the evening. The pool area had enough sunloungers to accomodate the sunworshippers but with the lovely trees set around the pool there was always shade if needed. Well we arrived at the plaza azul on the 28th Jul there were 9 adults and 4 kids... My partner and I stayed in apartment 3b.. It was great because we were right beside the pool. We are just back from Plaza Azul and we had a great time. We were in a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. All of our group loved our time there so much that we are trying to return again next year. The kids loved the pool and the freedom to run wild at night in safety. Jamie the barman was a great lad. The only gripe was the lack of air-conditioning but was easily overcome with a fan. It's an uphill slog at night with buggies but taxies were readily available for less than €3 from anywhere local. All in all we had a super time... more

Arrived August 26th early evening from Dublin and arrived at the Plaza Azul staying for 1 week. first Impressions were OK. When I checked in I asked the person on receiption if my room was on the side of the pool (which was part of my booking request). He said no. My family booked 3 apartments. We got B26,B27 and B28! I have been going to Plaza Azul for about 10 years, It is a very clean apartment square, and the staff are very friendly. The shop is a little too basic, but there is a large supermarket half way down the hill which would cater for anything. There is a mixture of all ages there, and it is very easy to make friends. In all, it really is a good value holiday!!

November 2003. Thompson late deal. Allocated on arrival. Accomodation far better than expected.The whole complex was very clean. Convenient for the beach and resort facilities. Used local buses to go all over the island. Great way to get around. Would recommend to anybody. hotel entertainment nearly every night but other places close to hand for alternative entertainment
