Blue Horizon Hotel Reviews
" Stayed here last week, we didn't pay... "
Submitted By: Mr M Madden
Stayed here last week, we didn't pay much so expectations weren't high, but this was superb.
Hotel was very clean, staff were brilliant (Nikos & Costa). Watching the planes landing, from the balcony and nearby beach, is a novelty rather than a pain. Hotel is 5 mins from airport. Hiring a car is a must to see island (Greekstones were faultless - approx 110 euros for 3 days, they will leave car at airport or hotel for you).
Food at the restaurants is good - the best is approx 200 yds up the hill from the airport on right hand side, taverna is called Olive Grove ( i think! ) the meal was superb.
Hotel was very quiet when we went - tour operators reserve the rooms but weren't filling them for some reason (as a consequence it wasn't busy enough for the staff to have the chef working so no food other than a prepared breakfast, not a problem plenty of places to eat - there is no fridge in the room).
Svoronata is a very quiet resort, not really for kids. It doesn't take long to tour the island by car, Myrtos Beach, Assos and Fiscardo are a must. If you read any bad reviews re this hotel, i can only presume they will be written by people expecting 5 star luxury, forgetting they have paid very little. We paid approx £80 each for a weeks b&b, and for that the hotel was faultless.
