Los Tulipanes Apartments

We arrived late at the Los Tulipanes Apartments due to a flight delay. The rep said that the reception was closed and we could get our keys at the pool bar. We were allocated two apartments as my children are aged 11 and 13 and so had a good opportunity to compare rooms.
On entering the first apartment there was a musty smell reminiscent of a damp caravan. Although I have to say that the accommodation itself was clean and was maintained 5 days a week by the cleaners. The bathroom was completely in need of a renovation as some tiles were cracked, the ceiling was bubbled and full of damp patches probably from the apartment above and the toilet seat needed to be replaced. As we had two apartments I found this to be the case in our second room as well. The blue 'Los Tulipanes' branded towels have seen better days and really need to be replaced as soon as possible.
The pools are cleaned on a regular basis and were well used by everyone at the apartments - The pools seemed to attract residents from the adjoining apartment blocks whose pool was of a smaller size.
In all, these apartments look as if they were nicely furnished when they were first opened but they are in urgent need of a refurbishment and updated in order for them to attract new customers. I would not stay there again unless the bathrooms were completed modernised.

This was 7th time in Lanzarote, first time at Los Tulipanes. Central location within 5-10mins from centre. The apartments were clean and had everything needed for a holiday in Lanzarote, as you do not cook it is so cheap to eat our why bother.
The reception staff and maids were excellent and very helpful. However, our holiday was made by Danny, Pool Bar Manager, not just a funny and entertaining host but a genuinely nice man. He made us feel so welcome and would certainly encourage us to return to Los Tulipanes.
A great ambassador for Los Tulipanes and an asset to any employer, only meet his sidekick Alex for 2 days but he was also a great sport. Well worth a visit to meet these two.

Accommodation basic but suitable. Very clean and well maintained. Heated outdoor pool with young children’s pool. Also decorative unheated round pool. Large sunbed area. Excellent pool bar run by Dani a Spanish Morroccan who learnt his English from holiday makers.
Language can sometimes be colourful. Been to this complex three times now and are booked up again for 2006. Will go back regularly. Love the Island of Lanzarote and the complex.

Los Tulipanes, was ok, nothing special but reasonably clean, the apartments are small unless you get one opposite the pool areas and there is no heated pool.....
and they do not supply kettles, toasters, hairdryers unless you pay for them, that part is a rip off. The only good thing about the place I guess was Dani boy who was the barman, he was good but don’t expect any late nights from the place....
