Average but good stay
from vickyrx1
Good stay! We went to Faedra as part of our 10 day honeymoon, we had stayed at another hotel in Hania before that (which was not the greatest) but this was an improvement. The staff was very friendly but it was hard to find someone if you needed them. We are not big breakfast people so we did not include it our package, so we cannot comment on that. The beach is accros the street from the hotel, it is very crowded (at least when we went) but clean. The pool though is very nice. The restaurant the hotel has is on the beach also, the food is...

A good holiday
from _Tillie_UK_
Four of us stayed at the Faedra Beach for 10 nights, from 28th July to 9th Aug 2006, in 2 adjoining apartments. We travelled independent of a tour operator. T (18), Joe (19), agl (48), Fi (51) We all liked the hotel. You get a nice beach, a decent pool, a smattering of tavernas/restaurants, and, the option of nipping into Agios Nikolaos all in one place. We didn’t hire a car but travelled around easily by bus. We've holidayed regularly in Crete over the past few years and Ammoudara/Faedra is on a par with other...

Lots of better places to stay in the area.
from Retired
The room we had was dirty with sand in the tub and dust balls on the floor when we arrived. The manager had a "tell someone who cares attitude." The small convience store next door had extremly high pricers, over 3 Euro for a small jar of mayonase that was less than two Euro in town. No elevator with steep stairs to the third floor. There lots of better places to stay in the area.
Disappointing
from Bosko1
My partner and I spend two weeks at the Faedera Beach Hotel from 6-20 June 2006, we were expecting a 4* superior hotel, we would give it 2.5-3* for the hotel and 0* for the food. On arrival you have to take your own cases to your room, if you arrived after 11.30 or 12.00pm you were just told which room you were in, two ladies, of senior years, arrived and no one to greeted them, they had to find where their room was and carry their own cases up 32 stairs!. We were not given Air Conditioning until we complained so much through the rep that...

Nice hotel, shame about the location
from blueglenn1954
My partner and i have just returned from a week at the Feadra Beach in the 2nd week in May. The weather thankfully was good as there is little to do in and around the hotel but count the 20 to 30 lorries an hour that pass very close to the hotels ungated entrance. This alone would give me nightmares if i was taking children This is a shame because the noise from the road starts at about 6.oo in the morning, and just continues all day and well into the evening,as this is the main road from the major port of Lerapetra to the rest of the...

Great Holiday
from A TripAdvisor Member
I had a great time here, hotel and staff were very helpful and considerate, considering this was my first holiday abroad for 20 years and I was a female on my own. All the staff in the hotel, nearby bar/tavena and shop etc were very friendly and I would recommend this holiday to any female travelling on her own. The manager will arrange a taxi to pick you up from the hotel on arrival. The breakfast while I was there was always fresh and it was no trouble to the staff if you were going out for the day to make breakfast early for you. The...

Definitely not 4* whatever Expedia says
from Anne Snowdenham
We stayed at the Faedra Beach in September for a week under the impression that we were booking a four star hotel. This hotel is run by a part-time manager (not resident) a waitress and a chambermaid (no service on Sundays). The room was clean and mercifully at the back (main road at front of hotel is very noisy) but some electric plugs were torn out of wall with wires exposed which we considered dangerous. We had to pay extra for air-conditioning and a hairdryer, both of which we understood were standard provisions. Breakfast was basic...

Loved this hotel
from mcewandebs
Just returned from two fantastic weeks at the Faedra Beach Hotel . We booked this late off the internet and didn't expect wonders but we really pleased with what we got. We asked for a studio room with a sea view which is exactly what we got. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have a kitchenette with a full fridge and real shower and bathroom. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and had a fantstic view all over the beach , pool and bay in front of the hotel. The hotel is about 3k out of town but the bus stop and taxi rank (5 euro) are...

a little piece of paradise
from A TripAdvisor Member
The perfect place to relax whether as a family group or couples. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and roomy. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the Faedra staff and we were made to feel very very welcome. We made some lifelong friends there and have the most treasured memories of when we were there. We went for a week the first time and loved it so much we went for a fornight the next time. We would most definately recommend a holiday at the Faedra beach hotel, it is near enough to Ag...

Hotel is new, clean, and nice!
from dayton
This small hotel itself is very nice and functional .. rooms are new, clean, and well lighted ... the hotel has a nice pool and is right across the street from a SMALL/QUIET beach. The only downside is that to get to town, it takes a taxi which is about 5 euros each way .. no big deal because the rate we got in May was very nice so the extra money on taxis wasnt that bad. Its about 15min car ride away from Elounda beach area which has nice restaurants to go to .. Overall .. this is a great hotel for the rate because it is new,...
