Flora Apartments

Went to Flora with an open mind after reading previous reviews, It looks good on photos and majority are taken on Flora 1 where main reception, pool views, sea views, shops and restaurants are. We Stayed at Flora 2 as I had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very disappointing amd certainly not big enough for 2 adults and 3 teenagers(triplets) Firstly we only had 4 of everything, then discovered the sofa beds were actually 1 and 1/2 of solid brick with a cushion on top. My poor son had to sleep on this. The 2 bedrooms were ok but terrible smell which i beleive are the stray cats that are constantly about. Very basic and could make do but wouldn't choose again. your not part of the flora when staying at this side. maid was ignorant and not very nice although we did get clean towels and linen. Her cleaning skills leave a lot to be desired. Lastly our apartment was situated at back walkway for everyone and their granny to pass through and boiler or store room below where we had every workman or staff there from first thing in morning to last thing at night. This is for families with small children going all inclusive and not wanting to move other than that its too far out certainly not a 3 star apartment.

We have just returned from 10 nights at the Flora and was a bit concerned with the reviews i had read prior to our holiday.
All i can say is myself and the family had a great time the staff were friendly the food was good the hotel was clean and the entertainment was fantastic. What more could you want ??

its a hot contry you are going to see some creepys we bean to the floura 5 times and i have sean 1 dead coachrouch and 1 alive we are booked to go back in july for two weeks again we love it our room cleaned just about every day sheets are change every 3 days and towells every two but if youneed more all you have to do is ask lot of hotels that have more stars it cost 15 euros per towel for depoiset the maids work hard well they all do if you are going to look for things to complane about well you would find some thing any where you go please dont let the bad reviews put you off go for your self and make your own mind up yes the pool is cold but if you bean away out walking its all you think about to cool you down and its very good for the circulation once you get your shoulders in you dont even notice.we always go self catering but i have sean the foodand it does look lovely and its always bizy.as for entertainment its we have always enjoyed it you got join in i think it depends on the holiday makers whos there thats who makes it and some hottels dont have any entertainment on well i bring it to a close go to have fun relax and enjoy

we were at the flora for 10 nights in january
when booking we asked for a sea view or a pool view
we got both we must have had the best room in the hotel
our room was clean towels changed regular
we were all inclusive the food was fine
the staff were friendly enough
we would recomend any one going to the flora pays the extra for a safe in thier room as one couple we met had thier phones stolen from thier room
we would go back the the flora apartments tomorow
bar was closed at 11pm prompt every night with no adult disco as promised

We went to the Flora Apartments in July 2010, I was worried sick after reading some of the reviews, given it was our first time to Lanzarote & All Inclusive! But my husband assured me we should go with an open mind.
What a pleasant suprise, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist(ok, she didn't make small talk) but was very efficient. Our apartment was spacious & clean, the food was varied and plentiful,and there was a wide range of both soft & alcoholic drinks to be had.
The weather was superb(A bit too hot at times!!) Puerto del Carmen is very pretty. It is a steep walk down to the town from the apartments( Not for the faint hearted) But there are so many beautiful flowers and plants to see along the way.
We are booked to go again in July 2011 as our eldest daughter couldn't make it last year and our 11yr old was keen to go back. I admit I couldn't do more than a week AI, as to get full value for money you need to stay on the complex as much as possible, and I think I would of gone stir crazy for any longer! But it is an excellent value for money holiday if your on a budget.......The old saying goes "You get what you pay for"

we had a 2 week holiday the only good part about it was the sun and the sea Hotel was dirtyi asked for a two bed apartment as i have two teenagers they gave us two apartments which ment they were on their own.The beds look like camp beds with a mattress towels were all marked ive thrown better out.little insects crawling over everything even the worktops making it imposssiblle to have any food around.everything like tv,toasters,fans etc,you have to hire,no air conditioning. the food is awful who in the uk eats salad for breakfast some cooked breakfast but never hot theres no variety if your a vegetarian you ll stave all they eat is meart gaot,rabbit.some sort of chicken. if anyone thought this food was good i hate to see the crap they are use to eating.the staff speak very little english not helpful in anywaythe bar staff are the rudest people that ive met ,the childrens enterainers were nice not much in the way off evening enterainment for adults the bar closes at 11 and they kick everyone out on to the pool terrace and turn lights off even if your still sat outside drinking. my daughter actualy had the door shut in her face so if your daft enough to go take some candles with you.The pools are not very clean freezing cold. Someone in the adult pool had empty their bowels in the pool and it took them god knows how long to deal with the problem. we asked about a doctor and was told he would charge 80 erous just to come to the hotel,this was our first time in lanzarote and believe me it will be the last.

Our family (2 adults and 2 older kids) had a ball for the october week.
what do you want in life more than to relax and enjoy a peaceful time in a tropical environment or a week in the dreek and cold of back home............
It was fab and we would go back tommorrow and the next day.
if you want anything in anyway all you do is ask (even for a clean towel!!!!

This was are first time to lanzarote,allocated to an apartment by the playground,not very clean and according to my husband the bedding smelt like a wet labradour. Towels old & grubby no aircon maid service didnt seem to make any difference. Restaurant was clean but choice of food very poor my wife & her sister. Tracey from Leeds,survived on banana sandwiches, rest of the time ate out.
Entertainment a shambles, bingo a rip off charged 1 euro a ticket prize was cocktail for a line cheap plonk for house, must have taken in excess of 100 euros!.
Bar closed bang on 11 pm and all lights turned off.
Pool area only mopped, in a fashion, once in our weeks stay.
Location was at the top of a hill, miles away from beach & shops.
Worst holiday in years!

This place is totally disgusting. There was insects climing up curtains beside my bed and all round floors worktops toliets,and the worst thing was Tapeworms on the floor DISGUSTING,,my bed was cover in human hairs Bathrooms wasnt even cleaning and had view of playground..This apartment is very far out and would sent anyone to complete madness...

we arrived at 11pm at night to find that we were the furthest hotel away from everything. after we cheked in we found out that their was no airconditiong and that fans were available to hire at 16euros a week.That would have been fine if we could get one but their was a waiting list to be put on and the staff didnt no when we could get one.We stayed in a self catering apartment,thinking we could cook but there were insects coming up from the drain crawling over everyting which made it impossable. We found that our linen was dirty and stained on arrival and had to be changed...it just kept getting worse and all that was on the first day. The staff were unhelpful and ignorant. Absolutly everything to be gotten eg tv,airconditiong,safe was at an unreasonable extra cost. I will never be going back to lanzarote again!
