We got a "cave"-room at first. No sun, no view !
But ! Simona ( best at the hotel ) gave us a new room with in one hour, fast and with a smile all the time. She helped us every time ( still smiling ), thank´s to her our stay were after all great. Our thank´s to her. Only one is not included in this hurray, the technician-man, he was "stupidio" trying to sell more than fixing, maybe unable?
The rooms in the hotel is not the best we seen but good enough. The beds are too hard and the light is badly placed . You could hear door slammer all day and all night, from other rooms . The bar and the pool and the surrounding is not for family's. From central to the hotel is a long walk or 163 stair-steps! But a cab is only 2,2€. Overall we recommend this hotel for a longer stay.
You can get massage and everything of that at the hotel.
Food and bar is good and internet work all over the hotel.
Lots of bars and diners in the nearby is very handy.
And Puerto Rico is good place to be in December-January.

Just back from Casablanca Hotel, Puerto Rico after two glorious weeks. This was our fourth time in Puerto Rico although the first time in the Casablanca Hotel. We found that although the hotel was basic as we were self catering, the staff were very friendly. On our first morning there we enquired about a safe and were allocated one (for a deposit)straight away. When we were going out or coming back in whoever was on the reception desk they always said hello or goodby. The rooms were very clean with the maids coming in every day except thursday and sunday (everyone needs time off)and they changed the beds a couple of times a week and changed the towels every second day. We were in room 603 and the view was fantastic. the only gripe we had (only a small one) is that they would do well to install either satellite tv on pay per view as it was all spanish channels on except cnn and if you wanted to stay in at night for a change, it would have been nice to have maybe a film to watch in english. We did not see one cockroach the whole time we were there, nor did we see any other furry creatures!! If we were to go back we would definately book Casablanca again.

Spent a week staying at Casablanca hotel, never will i return to this hotel again. We had cockroaches in our room. Our room was only cleaned once. Our bed linen wasn't changed, we also had no air con. To make matters worse we saw a dead rat outside the hotel.

I would recommend that no one stays at casablanca. I found it very dirty. We had cockroaches in the bathroom for 3 days. A chemical was then put down to kill them, however this took them 3 days to do this. The bed linen was only changed once for the whole week. The hotel had no air con and had no bar at night time. To make things worse there was a dead rat outside the hotel. Am glad im home now.

Good - The staff were friendly and helpful, but to be honest we didn't require much assistance. The apartment itself was clean and basic. We had a lovely large balcony with a good view of the whole resort. The facilities all worked and it was a roomy apartment for just the two of us.
Bad - If you like a tacky and cheap resort full of British bars this is the place for you! We could have put up with our bad choice of resort if the hotel had been quiet. Unfortunately the clientele seemed to be the type that like to run around screaming profanities and slamming doors in the early hours of the morning. I felt very sorry for anyone with young children.

Spent a week in the Casablanca Apartments. Just back. While I have been to Puerto Rico many times and have had wonderful holidays there I will never go back to these apartments again.
When we arrived we were greeted by hotel staff and given the key to our room. On first impressions they were lovely until we discovered the plank of wood stuck into the patio door to keep it shut for "security reasons". There was a plank of wood in the bedroom window also for the same reason. There was a safe in the room which had a sign on it saying it was not be used for "security reasons”! We had to ask 3 times for a safe off the reception area. Each time we asked they had a different excuse. They were either too busy, reception was closed (even though there is a note in the brochure saying 24 hour reception ) and then the computers were broken down so they could not issue receipts. I forego the receipt and got my safe finally.
On the second day when we came back from the beach we discovered our clothes had been taken out of the wardrobe! When I reported this to the staff they told me I must have left them on the floor and the housekeeping staff removed them to the laundry by mistake. Then they questioned whether I actually had them in the first place. I had worn some of them out the previous night so I had no doubt in my mind that I had them. The next day when I asked had my clothes been found they looked at me blankly and said NO and that was that. The staff were rude and unhelpful and did not seem to care one way or the other.
I reported the theft to the rep who told me I was not the only one robbed. Like I would feel better on hearing this! Other people had cameras, mobile phones, jewellery and money stolen from their locked apartments. None of the apartments had been broken into but had been accessed with a key. On the day we were leaving we were told that the complex was full and we could not keep our room after 12 noon. Our flight home was not until 2.30am next morning. No courtesy room was provided nor a safe place to store our luggage.
We were lucky to get an apartment in the Castillo de Sol apartment complex next door thanks to our rep where we found the staff could not do enough for us even though we were only there 12 hours.
I will never go back to the Casablanca apartments again and I will not be recommending them to anybody.

I went with a friend in January and have absolutely no complaints. Yes the rooms are basic but they are clean, comfortable, had a fridge, sink and kitchen utensils and whilst it wasn't enough to cook a 3 course meal,it was sufficient and if i'm being honest I don't go on holiday to sit in my room all day and night so it was ideal for me!!!! The hotel and pool were clean, the staff friendly and its situated at the top of the steps that lead down to the shopping centre. Balcony overlooked all of Puerto Rico so the views were brilliant. quick tip - don't use the shop on site, its way overpriced - 2 minutes down the steps and there's a massive supermarket with everything you need.
We're going back again next January.
