Vigo Hotel

Stayed at the Vigo Hotel first week in October. Had we have stayed there the week before, a lot more would have been going on. We couldn't use the pool or swim up bar because the season had ended when we got there. Even so this did not ruin our holiday.
The weather was good, the surrounding area although still in parts under construction or being improved was lovely, also we were just opposite the sea with an amazing view. While we were there, although the hotel had more than 80 rooms there were only about 14 people staying there. Some people were not happy with the food etc but I can honestly say that I really had no complaints.
Although the breakfasts were a bit unusual and the eggs left a lot to be desired, the evening meal more than compensated for it. We had the best pork steak in mushroom sauce we had ever tasted!
On the whole it is a very good base, the rooms are modern, flat screen TV etc and cleaned every day. Sunny Beach is just a bus ride away, Nessebar is a short walk away. We found a great bar around the corner from the hotel which we frequented every night! The prices in Bulgaria are still very cheap, so make the most of it while you can I know we will as we are planning to go back next year, same place as it is ideally placed, but I think we will go a week or two earlier, just so we can make the most of that swim up bar. Can't wait!
