I went to the Rosamar in october 2008 with my two childred, my parents and also my sister. We had stayed at the Rosamar twice before although the last time was a few years ago. Overall the hotel is of a decent standard and I would say better thank most other 3 star hotels in the area. The food was decent with a good choice at each meal and the frinks were cheap. The pool area was also nice and my son really enjoyed playing in the kiddies section. On the downside, the air condition didn't seem to work properly making the rooms very hot especially at night when you are trying to sleep. Whilst the rooms are very clean they are now beoming rather dated and a bit scruffy. The drains also smell a little bit in the bathroom. We also hired a fridge and had no end of trouble with it but they did refund us the money. Overall we all had a really nice time, the weather was fantastic and would more than likely use the hotel in the future.

This was our second visit to the Rosamar hotel and we were really looking forward to our holiday. We were not disapointed. On arival (2200 hrs) we were allocated a room on the 14th floor but as my partner was not good with heights (an understatement) we asked for a room on a lower floor and by 1230 we had a room on the 2nd floor. Staff were friendly, polite and always helpful. The food was excellent with several themed evenings. The pool area was lovely and very clean. The pool bar staff were good and always a good laugh. Although the entertainment is probably aimed more at Spannish guests there was always something on. The only down side were the lifts which did get very busy especially at meal times. After reading some of the reviews on the Rosamar we were a bit concerned but we certainly would recomend the Rosamar we had a magic holiday.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Rosamar, and i have to say never again, we arrived to find the room very small and the decor was pitiful. The bathroom had toenail clippings on the floor along with used plasters, the bath and sink were full sand and hair and the drains were very smelly! The food if thats what you can call it was more in line as pig swill!! (pigs would have turned their noses up at it) first breakfast was our last my 4 year old son had cold bacon and a sausage that was red raw in the middle luckily did not eat it! Reception staff very unhelpful be careful as to hidden costs ie TV remotes and hairdryers as they will try and keep your deposits ( keep reciepts) The pool was very dirty and you could not get in for lilos rubber rings and boats to make matters worse when took our son to the " play area" we found a number of condom wrappers!! We would never ever book to stay at this hotel again!

Stayed in this hotel eight years ago fantastic I have been to benidorm 15 times since stopping in different hotel I thought I would go back. What a BIG MISTAKE got there at 11.30am did not get room untill 9.00pm .the rooms are cleanish very dated could do with a lick of paint, air con does not work. The dining room is clean, food is hot not much to choose from not very good for children as it is adult based. the dinng staff are the most miserable people you will meet not one laughed are smiled not even when given a tip, also they never give change back when you buy wine are water. All the public parts of the hotel are very clean but then they would be as you can not use them. they only open the bar at night you have to use pool bar with is dirty bins over flowing, long queues, run out of ice cream a couple of time in our one week stay you can never get a sun bed unless you up at 7.30 and only got 9 umbrellas for the hotel had to buy our own which is not good if you have young children WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL this is not a 3 star hotel it a one . disgusting could not wait to come home ruined our holiday

We stayed at the rosamar with another couple and found this hotel to be first class. The rooms were spotless and wallpaper in the bathroom was a first.
The food was good and drinks were purchased from a member of staff at very reasonable prices ie two euro for a bottle of wine and free sparkling wine at breakfast time.
The hotel is located right in the centre of all the good bars and clubs and the beach is only a five minute walk.
We will be staying in this hotel again.
Where do i begin?
Staff: reception staff were as useful as a handbrake on a canoe....during our stay four of our group of nine got robbed while they lay sleeping for 10 mins! we went in a group of 9 and for some bizzare reason we were seperated...there was a room taken by OAP's between us all (we took up 3 rooms). a few of the group in the end room (floor 6) had over 1500 euro taken from their safe, they had left their room door open and the key in the safe however everybody had been going from room to room so we they didnt think that they would be in any danger! When we discovered what had happend the reception staff told us to phone the police however we insisted they do it as none of us could speak spanish.....that was all the help they gave us!
Food: for a 3 star hotel it leaves alot to be desired...if you like sloppy school dinners, stale bread, over priced beverages and flys on your dinner then enjoy! might i add....for your own safety avoid the lifts at eating times!!!!
Rooms: no bin, no lock on bathroom door, no remote controll for t.v, poor aircon, outdated and dreary decor! fridge would have been brilliant too....instead we used the sink and filled it with ice cubes which we bought from the local supermarkert!
Pool side: if you are taller than 5 ft the deep end would be shallow! put your towells down arout 1am to have a lounger for the next day....SERIOUSLY! Bar staff are friendly tho!
all in all if you are under 50, enjoy decent entertainment, dont like getting robbed, anything other than brittish DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!
P.s Benidorm seems to be a STRICTY Brittish resort.

We found this hotel a lovely place to stop. Food was very nice and plenty of choice, at all the meal times and also the option to have a lunch for 7 euro if wanted on any of the days whilst stopping there. Pool area was good, and there was a bar and sometimes a band or show of some sort to entertain during the day. There was also entertainment every night.
Benidorm town was always a hype of activity, and there was always plenty of entertainment to please all types of holidaymakers tastes.
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the holiday.

JUST RETURNED FROM A 7 DAY HOLIDAY AT THE ROSAMAR HOTEL. BENIDORM.
WE FOUND THE HOTEL TO BE VERY GOOD. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND VARIED DAY TO DAY, THE POOL AND AREAS WERE CLEAN AND THE POOL WAS CLEANED NIGHTLY.
THE HOTEL ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE MAID SERVICE WAS REALY GOOD. PLENTY GOING ON FOR THE KIDS.
HOTEL LOCATION IS SPOT ON FOR THE NIGHT LIFE AND BEACH. LOCAL TRANSPORT 100 METERS FROM THE HOTEL SO VISITING THE OLD PART OF BENIDORM WAS NO PROBLEM. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THE ROSAMAR AND WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM RECOMMENDING IT. WE WILL GIVE IT 8 OUT OF 10
THE ONLY DOWN SIDE OF THE HOLIDAY IS, WHY ARE THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE SPANISH ARE SO MISERABLE. IN 7 DAYS WE ONLY CAUGHT 2 SPANIARDS LAUGHING. (OR WAS IT WIND)
WHEN CHANGING CURRENCY KEEP AWAY FROM THE EXCHANGE NEXT TO THE CHEMIST/PERFUME SHOP 50 YARDS FROM THE HOTEL, GO TO THE INDOOR MARKET THERE ARE 3 PLACES IN THE MARKET WHICH GIVE EXCELLENT RATES.
WE WERE CHARGED 20 EUROS FOR CHANGING 100 POUNDS 1 YOUNG COUPLE WERE CHARGED 42 EUROS FOR CHANGING 200 POUNDS.
OTHER THAN THIS WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WILL RETURN AGAIN.

Brill! Hotel Rosamar spot on & food was good but repetitive. Weather in Oct was good but a bit cool at nights! Entertainment was brill & drink prices were ok.
But best hotel in Benidorm is hotel Marina! Class. Make sure you have your transfers booked before you travel because you can be ripped off by some taxis.

I have visited Benidorm every year since 1980 and stayed in 10 different 3/4 star hotels, this year was my first visit to the Rosamar and we stayed for three weeks. I will have no hesitation to stay their again in 2008.
The staff were friendly, accommodation and room service first class, the food was hot, variable and very good. The eggs prepared for you at breakfast always full English available plus healthier alternatives to suit all tastes, special chef special dish served nightly gala night.
The entertainment was popular, though my personnel preference is to explore the old town and the quieter areas of the new town.
Benidorm improves yearly and once you know the town you will always return, there are many quiet Spanish bars I prefer them to the English bars you are always made welcome and tapas are supplied free with your drinks which are also very cheap. There are now many first class eating establishments serving beautiful sea food dishes and steakhouses you could not better in England, this along with top class chinese/indian restaurants who serve first class food at prices much less than at home.
Excursions are available boat trips to destination along the coast, and coach trips to markets and inland villages etc, there is also the local market held twice a week you must visit the atmosphere is brilliant
The reason I gave 9 points I find all hotels spoil happy hour and most bars are empty, if the hotel allowed you to purchase named drinks as well as local brands, reviewed their charging policies so as they are slightly higher than local bars and not exorbitant as they are now I am sure more residents would spend more time in the hotels and bar profits would rise?

I stayed at the Rosamar Hotel with my boyfriend for a week and we both loved it. The food was great and there was a lot to choose from.
The room was very clean and just the right size but it was a bit annoying that there wasn't actually a double bed, just two single ones put together.
The pool area was nice and we managed to get sunbeds all times but one. But we just lay on the 'towel dry area' instead which was fine, and we got beds within half an hour anyway. The pool was freezing cold, even too cold to cool down from the heat!
Location was great and the reception staff were very helpful in giving us directions and telling us what buses to get.
We'd definitely stay at the Rosamar again and would recommend it to anyone.

The Rosamar hotel was in the right location, not far from the shops, restaurants, and beach. The buffet breakfast and evening meal was nice.
They never opened the restaurant door on time, always people stood around waiting.
The rooms were cleaned every day. What let this hotel down was the rudeness of the reception staff, not at all friendly and helpful. They looked so miserable.
I give this hotel 7/10 and would probably find a different hotel next time.

This hotel is fantastically placed for all the nightlife and is only 5 minutes walk from the beach.
The rooms are quite small and are quite dated in appearance and in need of redecoration and a thorough clean. (especially the bathroom).
The maid came every day but most days she only made the beds and changed towels (when required); she did not sweep or mop the room except for two occasions during our 14 day holiday.
The hotel in general could do with a good clean, as it looks ok at first glance but closer inspection shows it to be dusty and dirty in places.
The pool area is nice although at least one third of the pool is taken up by a shallow children’s area (good if you have children). There was very little shade during the day, although in our 2nd week the staff did put out several large umbrellas but these are quickly reserved and there are nowhere near enough of them.
Most of the staff at the dining hall and the poolside bar were pleasant and sociable, but some of the reception staffs attitude and manners left a lot to be desired.
We stayed half board and found as a rule the food was quite good with something for every palate on offer most nights, although if you had small children you might struggle to find something other than chips which they will eat.
The entertainment was aimed at the many older people who were staying at the hotel so is only ok if you like singers singing 50s and 60s songs, but as I put before you are surrounded by bars and clubs with every type of show you could imagine, all within easy walking distance and on the flat so good for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
We will definitely come to Benidorm again although I would not stay at the Rosamar again.

I went to Benidorm for the 2nt time this year. The first time we stopped at the Helios this time we stopped at the Rosamar.
The hotel was beautiful. The people were friendly and the rooms weere cleaned everyday by the maid.
The pool was clean and the food was lovely, also all the staff was pleasant to talk to and they would do anything for you.
We did not go far from the hotel we just went to a few bars and clubs nearby we went to places like jokers ( drinks buy 1 get 1 free till 1am ), there was entertainment 2 shows every night we went to the best karaoke bar in Benidorm.
Karaoke every night, people in their kind and friendly also john & josephs karaoke bar the people in there will do anything for you the food is lovely and cheap just like the drinks are and we went to some others but I cannot remember the names of them.
The bars and clubs on the beach are also good on a night time and during the day the beach is cleaned everyday at 6pm so it is always neat and tidy.
You can also go on water sports and the banana boat during the day you can also go to peacock island on a boat trip which you get some beautiful views from there. I am not sure the name of it but you can go on a boat what shows you under the water which is beautiful.
I will defo be going back there again it is a beautiful place and the people is all kind and welcoming.
