We was a group of 8 ladies in our 40's, hotel is definately focused at the elderly and all the entertainment is all aimed for them, which was ok as the hotel is situated quite centrally to bar's, eateries, shops and the beach. Rooms were clean and although there was 3 of us... more

This was our second visit to the Rosamar hotel and we were really looking forward to our holiday. We were not disapointed. On arival (2200 hrs) we were allocated a room on the 14th floor but as my partner was not good with heights (an understatement) we asked for a room on... more

very good hotell
We stayed at the Rosamar hotell 10 years ago and returned in June 2008 after staying in hotells such as ,Sol Pelicanos, Marina,Dalmatas,Lavantie Club E t c .Our stay at the Rosamar is among the best of them. The food was plentifull and of very good quality,The rooms were a suprise reguarding there size and comfort,The cleaners were very good and cleaned every day, towells and beding were replaced regulaly. The bar staf were curtiouse and on top of there job.Day time entertainment was very veried and the entertainment staff got everyboady involved if you so wished. The restaurant staf were on top form cleaning and re setting the tables we never once had to que for a table even though there were 9 of us the staff ensured that we all sat together. This is the first hotell i have been in where the carvery meats were all cooked to perfection every day. We have just two small critisisems ,The lifts were big but slow and at meal times waiting was enevitable. The pool was adiquate but needs extending, the old square pool was better. I would definatly recomend the Rosamar hotell to any one going to Benidorm, And i shall definatly return to the Rosamar. Finaly this hotell deserves a far better sta rating than 3 star,Having stayed in many 4/5 star hotells i would definatly give the Rosamar 4 Stars.
Poor value for money needs total refubishment??
We know Benidorm very well, but have never stayed in the Hotel Rosamar before, as we normally stay in the far superior Hotel Calypso, which has the same 3 star rating but is in a totally different league to the Very Dowdy Hotel Rosamar!! The following is our Honest & Very Genuine Recent experience of theHotel Rosamar: - 1/ Very Unhelpful & Miserable Dining Room Staff, Who Just Don't Want To Clear Tables, And Leave You To Lay Your Own Table 2/ Just One Main Course Dish For Dinner, With The Same Sweet repeated Every Day 3/ Dirty Dishes Especially Noticeable When Using the Same Soup Bowls For Breakfast Cereal, Which Smelt Of Soup!! Tea Cups With Dark Coffee Stains, And The Tea/Coffeee Machine is Filthy!! 4/ The Club Room Is 1970's Style, Dark and Uninviting, With Sticky Seats 5/ Reception Staff Are Rude, And Will Try To Con You Out Of Your Deposits For Room Safe & TV Remote Control, (Make Sure You Get Receipts For Money Paid) 6/ Final Straw Was The Beds Are A Disgrace, As More Like Camp Beds, Very Hard, And Urgently Need Renewing? 7/ The In Hotel Hairdresser Is Very Friendly, And Knows Her Job Very Well 8/ All In All The Hotel Is Not 3 Star, But Just About One Star, And Desperately Needs A Total Refurbishment 9/ Would Never, Never Book With Airtours/Thomas Cook Again, As They Are Very Unprofessional In All Aspects Of Our Holiday Experiences Both In 2007 + 2008!!! 10/ Holiday + Hotel Rosamar Value For Money - Marks Out Of Ten = 3 (And That's Being Generous !!)
lovely rosamar
Actually stayed at the Rosamar twice this year!! Feb and April. Never stayed at a hotel twice so we must have liked it. Food is very good, with good selection and chef show cooking every day. Lovely and clean. great location and quiet at night. few minutes to pubs and clubs. Ask for room overlooking the calypso hotel, as new hotel being built on the other side. Remember there is a charge for indoor pool and spa. Would recommend this hotel.
good hotel always welcomed at breakfast luch dinner
me and my finance went to rosamar im just bk the hotel was good only thing was the beds a bit hard and the smell the odd time from the bathroom.dinner was always a different selection everyday breakfast was ok and lunch wasnt special either.i would try a different hotel next time and the bus didnt pick us up outside so i would not book with thomas cook terrible nearly missed my flight.pool area nice and indoor spa and sauna.everything close by shops bars and the beach.weather was brillant for 2 weeks
Costa Del Benny
My girlfriend and I found our stay at this hotel an enjoyable one. We found the hotel very clean and tidy and found the reception staff very friendly. I don't speak Spanish but I try to make an effort which does endear the locals. The food was good and well presented, and there was plenty to choose from (even though the Chavvy Brits in the hotel stuck to their chips). We went half board but didn't eat in the hotel every night, not because the food was of a poor standard but because we fancied eating other foods. I did not understand the sun loungers being empty all day with towels on them, not being used, as mentioned in other reviews about the hotel. I had never been to Benidorm before and had preconceived ideas about the place, thinking it would be full of Tattooed Chavs, loud mouthed Brits etc, etc...However i was not completely wrong but at the same time amazed at how clean the beaches were, at how safe it was there and the vast array of entertainment. There is something for everyone in Benidorm. The old town is a must in my opinion. It's the haunt of the locals and the restaurants in that part of town are really diverse and look fantastic and some of them really are, if you like sea food. If you fancy cabaret, it's there and not too bad...Look out for Pete Loaf, The Beatles tribute band from Valencia and Dave Keegan as Elvis at the Talk Of The Town (all within a 2 minute walk from the Rosamar Hotel). Towns such as Altea and Calpe are not very far. These are nice old towns. Calpe has some lovely fish restaurants at the harbour area. The best and probably the quickest way to get to Calpe is by boat. It takes an hour from the harbour in Benidorm. The bus is best for Altea and it costs 1 Euro- How cheap? In fact most bus rides are 1 Euro.... I would go back to Benidorm. There are still some parts undiscovered.
Enjoyed the Rosamar
A nice hotel but with one big problem. The drains smell! A terrible smell comes up the drain hole in the wash basin. I tried pouring disinfectant down,, but realised there was no 'S' trap in the drain - only an elbow bend. Consequently as the water had a straight run, all the drain smells come up through the plug-hole. not very nice. Other bathrooms were the same. Tried keeping the plug firmly in the wash basin, but that didn't really solve it. So we ignored it. Rooms are cleaned daily and bedding changed often. No complaints about anything - except the drains! Food was OK. Staff were pleasant. Didn't go out at night, because this is not a nice part of Benidorm to be walking around. Several people in hotel had their purses and wallets stolen. But that was no fault of the Rosamor. Entertainment was reasonable. Near the sea-front. And, if you want it, near a lot of Clubs. Hotel has a lovely Spa and fitness room. Chargeable. Weather was gorgeous. There is a nice outdoor pool and sun terrace.
Brilliant Location- Great Hotel
Stayed for one week in the Rosamar Hotel. Location- you could not ask for better! 2 mins from the square 2 mins from the shops 10 seconds from the bars. Hotel= Pool amazing. Great size- clean- relaxing.Lots of sunbeds to soak up the sun. Room= Good size, nice balconies, clean. Staff= Great Food= Average My opinion for this is that I have had bad experiences with hotel food. The food was good- catered more for the Spanish but edible. If you do not like the Food - last stp accross the road doescheap and tasty food, also Rainbow Bar. The hotels location was brillaint 7mins walk to beach, shops nearby. The nightlife is great in Benidorm. Terra Mitica- a must if you like ride- but great - dontbuy food there its dear- drinks are very expensive Aqualandia- if you like waterslides etc- great day out. If you can get a fridge, the drinks are expensive from the hotel and there is no minibar. Top up on water- as it gets hot in July. The Hotel Rosamar is a good quality hotel- its not 4* but a nice hotel in a great location. I can not say anything bad about it but its not the best hotel to stay in Benidorm.
food poisoned
been in hotels with better food but dint moan 2 much until i got Campylobacter a case of food poisoning lost 6 days of holiday over xmas but fortunately missed xmas dinner which e/body in hotel said was rubbish . lifts never worked & with my mother on 8th floor in a w/chair wasn't acceptable at all. e/day something was out of order from pool table - toilets although rooms were well maintained rest of hotel was poor & i advise anyone going here EAT OUT last time here for us & many more who stopped @ same time
Loved it Pls.
My Family And I Went To This Hotel For The Past 3 Years I Found It Very Good Unlike Some Reviews. The Food Was Great And We Enjoyed It My Family Loved The Pool Area! The Only Problem Was They Was Doing Building So We Could Hear It But That Was Not Much Of A Problem The View From The Balcony Was The Building But Thats Not Their Fault. The Rooms Was Clean And We Had No Problems With The Rooms At All. We Enjoyed Our Holliday!
