Hotel Description:
A new luxurious hotel situated in a serene pine forest in the outskirts of the Pirin Mountain. There is a magnificent view of the ski slopes and the mountain. The hotel is the right starting point for a cultural visit to the historic Bansko, the famous Rila Monastery or the sunny Melnik, with its natural landmarks - the Melnik pyramids. loading...

The transfer from the airport is long about 3 1/2 hrs- definately advise you to take sandwiches and drinks on coach.
The resort itself is still being built, so it's a bit of a building site, but the hotel itself was clean, spacious and staff were friendly. The apartment style rooms we booked were excellent, they were so big!
Food was only ok - but then that is the same for all of Bansko. The selection was quite big for breaksfast - bread rolls, scambled egg, french toast, sausages, cheeses, fruit, salad.
I would say that the price of a drinks in the hotel is certainly more than you would pay in the bars, so we tended to have one or two and then head out.
The log fire in the middle of the hotel is fantastic! Those big sofas are excellent!
The pool/spa is not very big, but we didn't mind because it wasn't that busy.
Table tennis was a good laugh - in the room on the 1st floor.
For New Year, we hadn't booked the special package so couldn't eat in the hotel, however, did manage to go to the Irish bar and have a buffet for 20levs!
The slopes in Bansko are a little limited, but for beginners or those just wanting a credit crunch holiday it is great.
If you go here and don't expect too much, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Advice: Expect a queue at gondola, it's better at 09.30-10.00 or get a taxi - 10levs each.
Activities: Friendly Bar for Apres Ski, Zero Degrees for a quiet drink and food, Irish bar for good night out!
Good for: Ski
