We have been staying in the Plaza hotels for 4 years now. Every single stay has been a pleasure.
The food is lovely, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are cleaned and tidied beautifully.
We come every year and will continue to as the hotel is great.
The pool is lovely and very clean and clear.
The reception staff are friendly and do all they can to help you.
I would recommend it for sure I wouldn’t want to stay any where else.

Just got back from a week at the Plaza with my teenage son.
Having visited Malta last year and stayed in the Palm Court Buggiba(don't even think about staying there) what a delight the Regency is. Clean, spacious rooms, good food, polite helpful staff and above all a fantastic location.
Only slight point of issue at breakfast soft drinks, water, tea and coffee are free and unlimited as you might expect on a half board basis. However at evening meal time all drinks are charged and you pay on account ,settling when you leave. Whilst I don't particularly mind this it did seem a bit of a cheap trick to generate extra revenue.
Hotel is situated along a busy coast road right in the heart of Sliema with St Julian’s to the left and central Sliema to the right, it is buzzing right into the small hours but close the balcony doors and you won’t hear a thing.
The location is fantastic as stated for just strolling about any time of day or night. The beauty of Malta is that it is such a friendly safe environment to be in, where the Maltese genuinely like the English.
Hired a car for a couple of days from a local, which was great but a night mare to park at the end of the day. Malta’s main problem is there are far too many cars, they all seem to move around ok, but just try parking, and it can literally take hours in a place like Sliema.
They like handing out parking tickets as well so don't in frustration take a chance on a spot you not sure about.
All in all a fantastic holiday a great hotel even teenage son wants to go again next year which will be three years in a row.

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I went with my partner and we had a modest room with not much of a view but it met all our basic needs and who wants to stay inside when you have the beach at your doorstep?
The meals were excellent, lots of choice and everything was generous portions and delicious!
The waiting staff where very friendly and for what we paid (we went last minute) we defiantly had great value.

The Plaza/Plaza Regency hotel are 2 hotels joined together, one houses the restaurant the other the swimming pool. The rooms are basic with beds, TV, and ensuite with most rooms having a balcony. Some of the facilities include a bar and outside restaurant for the general public.
This is a nice location if you are in need of buses to get you around the island with a bus stop just outside and buses coming a minimum of every 5 minutes, depending on where you want to go.
The sea makes a lovely scenery but if you’re hoping for sand there is a certain lack on it on the island, but if this is what you want Golden Bay is the place to go to make sand castles.
There is some entertainment in the evenings but it is not really suited the younger crowd. This hotel id mostly for those who don't intend on spending much time in the hotel or for the slightly more mature adults.
Using this company did have its advantages such as the complementary meals on the flights and the transfers between the hotel and airport, with better treatment for those returning guests.

I was fortunate enough to be given a self catering apartment on the new wing of the Plaza Hotel, which had just been opened 3 weeks.
It was spotless, modern decor, air conditioning, LCD TV, microwave, fridge, beautiful furniture, (two seater settee with foot stool and a 4 seating dining suite), an absolutely idyllic bathroom with shower and glass curtain.
Every day the room was cleaned, fresh towels placed in the bathroom, bed made and everything spic and span.
I had a wonderful time in the Plaza Hotel Apartment, and its situation on the sea front was ideal.
I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. It is certainly a hotel I will visit again when I return to Malta.

We booked a 'superior' room which gave an excellent view of the bay, unfortunately the room was desperately in need of refurbishment, the cleaning standards were poor and the shower was claustrophobic.
The dining room seems ill-equipped to deal with the number of guests and most of the staff did not appear to enjoy their work. The exceptions were the rooftop bar and pool attendants who were cheerful, friendly and courteous.
The hotel is located in an excellent position in Sliema but major improvements to the rooms, dining room and staff attitudes are required before our family would venture there again!

Our party of six consisted of myself and my partner, our children and my parents. The age range was between 18months and 78 years old, and we were all catered for perfectly! We stayed in superior rooms with excellent views over the bay and although the rooms could do with a bit of updating there was plenty of room and they were clean and comfortable.
The food was very good - with a fussy 3 year old cleaning up his plate every day it must have been! Plenty of choice including delicious rabbit stew, fresh tuna steak, and braised lamb. The staff were friendly and helpful with the children’s needs.
The hotel itself is in a great location, between the resorts of Sliema and St Julians, both within a pleasant stroll along the main walkway, where many of the locals parade in the evenings. The road in front is a little busy but it died down later and did not intrude on our sleeping.
There is a very small sandy beach across the road which got busy during the day; it was ok for building sand castles but not big enough for playing ball games. Our children spent most of the day in the pools on the hotel roof. There is a children’s playground across the road, and a much bigger one a short walk away that the local children used in the cooler evenings so our kids made loads of friends.
The bar staff were friendly and prices very reasonable, the children and my parents enjoyed the simple evening entertainment but it was not really to my taste.
We would go back and stay here again. Good value for money - if you have higher aspirations fork out for a 5 star hotel.
