this hotel is at the top of my list .food quality and choice of food is second to none. cleanliness you could eat your food off the floor.and the staff or on hand for your every need. within easy reach of the town and beach .my wife and i have been coming here for several years

Decent appartments for a good price

We stayed for a couple of days at Bitacora appartments. The appartment are quite clean (keep it clean: ants!) and have cooking equipment. A supermarket is next door and there is parking space.
Walking to the beach is about 15 minutes, which is great for partying.

we found these apartments very central to both the old town and new town. The beach is also less than ten minutes! Cardiac hill was also vey managable however we are young and fit!! The apartmenst are great value for money. Really clean we had a maid twice during our week... more

I went on this holiday with my fiancee for my birthday, from looking at the reviews we diecided to go self-catering so I cant comment on the food, however just a warning in our apartment we only got 2 hobs and no oven or grill. We stayed at Bitacora 12-19 March 2007. We were advised at the airport that the original apartments that we were to stay were overbooked so we had been moved to Bitacora. The apartment was clean, (smelt of lemons) a bit scruffy around the edges, but great for what we wanted. In all honesty, for the price we paid (£298.00) for 2 persons half board, we could'nt really complain. When we arrived at the Bitacora i was pleasantly suprised with the appartment. After reading reviews i was expecting bug ridden dirty rooms, but this was not the case. Our room was in the complex across the road from the main reception and was pretty quiet. yes stayed here for the new year celebrations 2007. Towels were awfull could not dry you, certain times you had no hot water to shower that was every night ,we had to boil a kettle the one night it did not come back on untill the morning! No heating and it did go off cold in the eveings, we had to ask for more blankets. Cleaners only came in certain days and didnot change the bedclothes on the sofa bed.Would not go back there again, location good though about 10 mins to the beach. more
Brilliant Value from I-hate-england
Me and my friend, both 21, moved over to Lanzarote last september, we booked a one way flight and a two week stay in bitacora to give us time to view other properties and get a job. We paid £60 each per week, what can you really expect for that amount of money! For that amount of money we spent we were expecting a right dive, but was pleasanlty surprised. This, was a really nice hotel!! I really enjoyed it! I am 17, and am writing from my own experience but also on behalf of my own family, ranging from my 12 yr old brother and my 40 year old dad. They all enjoyed it, just showing how this hotel was good for all ages. We stayed at the far end of the hotel around the smaller pool, it was tranquil, quiet and you got all the peace you need.
