Bitacora Apartments

We stayed for a couple of days at Bitacora appartments. The appartment are quite clean (keep it clean: ants!) and have cooking equipment. A supermarket is next door and there is parking space.
Walking to the beach is about 15 minutes, which is great for partying.

the self catering was fine because there is loads of resteraunts nearby and there is a bar at the hotel and there is a shop nearby aswell. It is on a hill so it is a big walk but that is ok! it is right beside the beach and it is always warm! But the apartments had tons of ants and they were in are beds and clothes! The rooms were nice though. The furniture was lovely and all matched. It comes with 3 beds and a couch that you could sleep on. The pool is very nice and there is a baby pool aswell. I would recomend this hotel to people if they had a family of 4 or less.

This resort was very good, lots of helpful staff around not far from the beach or local restaurants plenty of nice beers and drinks at the bar, the pool is very nice, you cant beet the morning dive in the pool after a hard nights drinking,the staff were really helpful and gave us all the information we needed for things to do around the town, they answered any questions no matter how silly or drunk we were. this is a great spot for couples retreating for a break together.
I will rate bitacora 9/10 , don't let the bright colors put you off its a great spot .

we found these apartments very central to both the old town and new town. The beach is also less than ten minutes! Cardiac hill was also vey managable however we are young and fit!! The apartmenst are great value for money. Really clean we had a maid twice during our week visit. The pool and public toilets were spotless. The service in the pool bar was very friendly! For Irish people it was great as they had RTE 1 & 2 on the TV!!! if i had one criticism it would be to update bed linen pillows and towels (but they were clean, just bit dated)Showers were extremely powerful and always had hot water. The area is very quiet but yet not far from the busy spots! we would defo go back.

stayed here in september never again pool is filthy .staff so toothfaced its a joke cockaroaches everywhere even on the beds pool never gets cleaned holidays uncovered should attened here and test this pool.the scum marks are round the pool.pool area is never washed down sunbeds in same places every day.ciggy butts all over the floor and stains from days before know its cheap but i would rather be homeless.

I stayed here in sept 2010. Good location, yes there was a hill but you'd have to be really unfit not to cope with it. The apartment was basic and clean. We were upgraded on arrival from a studio to a 1 bed apartment.
The acccomodation was dated and needed bringing up to date, if I'd have paid £400 for the week I'd have been disappointed but as we paid only about £80 for the week I was pleased. These people who pay peanuts and then complain must realise you get what you pay for and at the Bitacora you do get value for money.

just home from lanzarote yesterday, appartment wasnt what I expected, maybe it was the way I booked it but it was only a room with an an-suite, no space to swing a cat. Another thing, it had no air conditioning which was a disaster, couldnt sleep with the heat, it was warmer inside than outside. We rented a fan which was a help but would turn me off going back because of it. The good points are that it is in a good location, very close to the main strip and I didnt see one spider or cockroache in appartment which was great. Hope this info helps...

Good points;
-Well equipped kitchen
- Clean
- Friendly staff
- Held afternoon quiz sessions on Mondays
- Lots of space to store clothes
- The option to rent a safe and fan was there. At the expensive of 15 euros (3 euros deposit) for safe and 20 euros (5 euros deposit) for fan for a week.
-internet access
Bad points;
-No entertainment in the evening
-prices at the bar was expensive, e.g bottle of water you can buy in the supermarker on site, exactly the same, 50 cents in supermarker, 1.50 at the bar by the pool.
-Only can eat/drink what you have bought from the pool bar around the pool
-People saved sun beds early in the day and left them vacant for most of the day. Leaving my partner and i without a sunbed and feeling unwelcome from the pool area.
-The area was nice, but a bit noisy at night being near the road. The hill to get up and down isn't so bad, but can be a bit of a pain when all you want to do is get back.
Over all a good place, would stay again.

choose these apartments ,why, because they are cheap,clean,well equipped,and they will do the same job as something you would pay far more money for,my family & i stayed there in july for three weeks and had not a single problem,they were helpfull ,as i say clean as in cleaned every 2nd day ,and all i needed to do to book was send an email to confirm the booking and pay when we got our rooms what more can you ask for

stayed there early June 2010. was apprehensive after mixed reviews!! Booked and got 2nd level apt. Heard about ants in ground floor apt when we were there. Could not complain - room cleaned twice during our week there. Toilet rolls in abundance!! Everything you could need in apt. Receptionist there when needed and no problem with any queries. Apartments are 'tired' as is poolside furniture but does the job. very convenient for old and new town. yes, steep hill down to new town/strip but lanzarote hilly. Cheap supermarkets are very accessible as one in complex is expensive enough. Old town great - lots of lovely restaurants. we had our lunch and dinner out every day and could not complain about the food anywhere. El tomato has got cheaper but quality has not been affected - its a must to visit and we didnt have to book. shopping centre great - worth a visit. no complaints - will be back to bitacora.
