Sunrise 1 Apartments

Fantastic location - far away from the main strip but only 7 euros by taxi to get into the lively area.
Very clean apartments and pool area. Ideally situated right next to the beach...the sand isn't great but it's nice to dip into the sea.
The staff are very friendly, I would definitely go back and certainly recommend this lovely holiday destination!

l went to this hotel last year.the rooms are very basic but clean
the pool food was very nice.
the people that run the hotel are what made it for me, very friendly,happy and very down to earth.

Before going on this hol i was really excited. I read all reviews and they seemed prety decent. However when we got there this appartment was not what i had paid for. When i booked it said i was meant to have a sea view and when we got there our view was a road with over grown grass n trees opposite. We was put in a like a bungalow type of appartment which consists of just our room n one next to ours so we was not actually put in the main appartments. We didnt have our towels changed or our bed sheets for the whole week. I also had a bikini and a sunhat stolen from my room which could have only been the cleaner taken it as we always made sure we locked our room n shut all windows before going out. Also to the nearest supermarket it was a 10min walk as the supermarket which used to be by these appartments have closed down.
We also did not see our club rep for the whole of our week spent until the last day which meant we had to figure out places to go and excursions for ourself. There is also not alot to do for families and couples. The only thing to do on the night was to visit the clubs and bars in kavos. We enjoyed this as we were both young but as a couple we wuld have liked something different to do than just get drunk each night. The taxi into kavos each night cost 7euros which doesnt seem a bad price but going and coming back each night the price does add up over the week.
However the pool area was nice n the staff were also friendly. They did nice light bite meals there for a reasonable price.
Overall i would not visit again as i feel the whole island of corfu is dirty with rubbish everywhere n just loads of buildings not in use anymore. The beaches are also just covered in seaweed so u cant just relax on the beach.

Sunrise is an amazing place ran by an absolutly lovely family, all aspects were to a very high standard, cleanliness,food, pool everything. We were quite anxious at first with it not being central kavos however it turned out to be a great decision as you can relax here all day with lovely views and the beach literally at your doorstep but then enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of kavos town in the evening. We were 6 girls from manchester wanting a relaxing/party filled holiday which we got 100%, when we returned home we decided to go back a few weeks later as we missed the people so much, and we are booked to go again in 2010. You won't get better accommadation/people than you get at sunrise, guarnteed!!!!! Ruth,Hannah and Laura.

What can we say this holiday has been the best we have ever had. The sunrise hotel was the nicest place to stay, what made it extra special are the amazing family and staff that work there. Nothing is a problem for Ann, Andreas, Lynn, Steve and the maid and cook oh n not forgetting Rocky! Excellent accomodation, great location, near enough for kavos nightlife but great for relaxation during the day. What was also brill was the lovely people we met there specially the 7 lovely welsh girls and Andy and sharon.
We cant wait to rebook for next year lets hope the people who were there also return aswell, cant fault a thing 10/10 . Miss you all at sunrise. The Price family( bet its quiet without macauley talking ya ears off) xxx

Dont listen to any of the bad reviews people have wrote about Sunrise 1. This was by far the best holiday and the best place ive ever stayed! The accomodation was 10/10, and the staff made the holiday - Ann, Lynne, Andreas, Steve. The apartments were spotless. Sunrise has everything you want ~ pool, private beach with clear waters, a bar which serves lovely food! A group of 7 welsh girls loved every minute here and cant wait to come back next..and we will be back 100% because you wont find anything better. Kavos nightlife is awesome, 30 minute walk to the centre but whats 7 euros between you all. (Rockys is the place to be :) )At least its peace and quiet in the day and you can sleep by the pool to recover! We met some amazing people at Sunrise ~ including the Price family! Gutted to be back in sunny wales :/ ..cant wait to get back. See you all next year :) ..love Hannah and the welshgirls xxxxx

Me and my partner stayed at Sunrise in June and it was perfect. The staff were brilliant, the rooms were big and clean, the pool was beautiful and the views amazing. It was close enough to get into Kavos (about a 25 min walk or 7 euro in a taxi) but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. We are booking up for next year and would recommend it to anybody.

Me and 4 other girls stayed here together, we were looking for somewhere to recharge after a long night of partying in kavos! we enjoyed getting away from the dirtyness of Kavos when staying here and I totally recommend it if u dont mind paying for the taxi and the owners would happily call one for you.
We did have a bit of trouble with the owner or management when they came in our bedroom and told us off for jumping on the beds, moving the beds around and breaking the fridge (which wasn't our fault). But they where very nice when my friend got heat stroke and recommended a good doctor. Another thing was that families do stay here, it was weird seeing a 5 year old round the pool and was not what we were expecting! we also did not want reps hanging round during the day making us do certain activities and I think we only saw ours once which suited us fine.
Kavos itself was very funny, i would say try and get drinks for a cheap as possible when you get offered deals.

we spent a week at the end of august very hot, pool and room very clean,food also good, disapointed with the beach, needs a clean. taxi in to kavos 7 euro, very lively night out, saint peters quiet, some good eaterys, micheals was good value, shame about the walk there no paths and very dark, staff at sunrise lovely, made us a birthday cake no charge, very relaxing holiday just a shame it was catering more for teenagers, then the 40+ 8/10

My stay at the Sunrise was fab! The people were great we were made to feel very at home. The place is in the middle of a dirt track road which is not the best for walking, really not advised. Taxis cost 10euros a time into Kavos which adds up over the 2 weeks.
The food at the Sunrise is really good and is served at any time of the day or night. The room we stayed in was great and it was very clean. The swimming pool was great lots of sun loungers and the pool was fair sized, music was also played at the pool which was good!
Kavos itself was very good, Atlantis was the best club we visited! This was a great place to stay and really enjoyed the holiday!
