this is one of the nicest places to stay in malia...pool is great with the nicest sun loungers iv ever had..cleaner comes every day .. we went for 2weeks and had a wicked time reps are great try not to buy there packages they are a rip off witch we noticed after we boughtit..you can get it cheaper on the strip so dont be fooled!we never had anything go missing out of our room bt we did meet people that dint have a safety deposit box and they had money taken whilst they were out on the trips..so would defo recomend a safety deposit box!!the last point is the hotel is very strict on the rooms, and they will charge very highly..dnt let this put you off it is right on the strip bt not noisey at night and would defo recomend it for a place to stay..have fun x

Just got back from Malia, and i've had the best week of my life, and already want to book my next holiday to the same place again.
The malibu resorts, rooms were very basic, but they have got what you need for a clubbing and beach holiday.
The pool, is absolutely mint. It's really clean and the sun lounges have to be the best in Malia, if not anywhere, so comfy lol. You can't bring girls back without paying Mario at the front desk, he's hilarious though.
The hotel is literally a stones throw away from the main nightlife, yet it's not so noisy that if you went back a little earlier you would'nt be able to sleep. The PR's may seem annoying, but take advantage of them, and the drinks offers they give you. Barter with em' lol.. it seriously works.
Overall an amazing holiday, would definately go back.

malibiu resort was defo the best hotel on the island! it has a mint pool which was said to be the best in malia.... there was always something happening. it was rite on the strip... you could litrally hear the music from the bars from ur hotel room. mario ( the guy on reception) was a legend but was very strict about you taking ppl back to your room (50 euro's n u got them in lol). in the week everywhere shuts at 4.30am so we used to go back to the hotel and drink in the court yard and they werent bothered as long as you kept the noise down ( which we didnt n he was still ok with it) lol! malia overall was amazin and i am definatly returnin next year and definatley stayin in this hotel. i recommed the malibu to all the partiers who wanna b up till daft oclock coz everyone runs riot in the hotel til at least 8am!!! defo big up the malibu resort and see ya all there in 2009!!! xxxx

Overall holiday was great went on 18-30 holiday just the two of us. had such a fab time! everyone that was there were great.. there were some great places to eat and deffo drink the nightclubs were great, (however the PRs were annoying but i will talk about that later) malibu, bananas, appolo, coyotes, candy, help bar and patrinos were amazin!!! deffooo suggest goin to them places!!! to eat you have to try STICKY FINGERS!!
However word of advice about the hotel DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUBLES UNATTENDED IN YOUR ROOM! at all times leave them either out of site or in a safety box. The cleaners had taken 510 euro's from my room, and my mobile had been stolen. So word of advice stay alert. When i Questioned the hotel manager regarding this he push the blame to my friend, there were also other people in the same hotel that lost their valubles including mobiles and money!
The hotel room was cleaned everyday except for the bed sheets and towels, we went for two weeks arrived on wednesday morning and it werent till the following wednesday that our towels and bed sheets were changed, this was pretty distugsting and when we asked for clean towels the maid said yes i will in 4 days which was a week after we arrived!!!!
The hotel bar food wasnt very nice, i can be quite fussy about my meals anyway but this was just terrible i ordered jacket potato and salad thinking you cant go wrong.. well unfortunatly it did! the jacket potato was rock hard and the salad was warm and the lettice was brown! never ate there after!! you could not take any of your own food or drink around the pool, this is understandable as the hotel was family run and they want to make money, but the prices were rediculous!! a bottle of small water was 1euro and u can get a big bottle for 60cent in the shops!!
The pool area was nice and cleaned everyday! this is prob the best thing i can say about the whole hotel! the loctaion was pretty good!! spesh if u are anythin like us and need to just stumble home after a night out!! The hotel is on the strip and even tho the there are lots of bars around its still easy to get an early night if ur still feelin bad from the night before!! If u want to take someone back to your room then it is 50 euros and if u are talkin to people outside the hotel mario the receptionist will tell them to go away or will stand and watch u,which is annoyin spesh if u r just having a casual chat!
Two things i do suggest is to have aircon its a bit of a rip off 80euros for 2weeks or 50euros for one! but the heat is unbearable at times and you really need it.. on the other hand havin aircon can give u a bit of a cold cuz thats what happened to me!
Hotel staff were very rude and was not very helpful at all, especially when i had reported my money stolen. There was hardly any staff available during the day, the bar staff did nothing all day apart from play pool and talk to other staff members, which didnt realy bother us but there was no service behind the bar!!!
Most important it is a ROOM ONLY and NOT a self catering room, so do not be fooled.
The cleaners come so early in the morning, they would constantly bang on the door and wake us up, even though they would have until 3pm to come back and clean. Then we would get managers down our throat for not leaving the room for the cleaners!!
Last but not the least the PR's on the strip near the hotel were the worst in malia, they were realy annoying always grabbing you physically into there bar's even left bruises on my arm! further on the strip the pr's wernt to bad they dnt physically pull you into there bar's even they do verbally but deffo not as bad as the one's near the hotel.
Also when your on the strip watch out for the little kids they look so cute and innocent but they are not there hustlers, there distract you draw your attention away and pick you pocket even you handbags.
Hope this information is useful to you guys, and hope you becareful if you go malia.

First time visiting Malia, brilliant holiday, the rooms were basic but that's all you need when your 18-30. Great atmosphere about the place and pool bar. The reps (Lilly, Michelle and Rosie) were faultless, always asking how things are and any problems were sorted immediately. Excellent location just off the strip, great nightlife too. Night henchman Mario is a quality guy too, gotta get one of his Sex on the beach from hotel reception.

Overall an absolutely brilliant holiday! We loved the resort and the surrounding nightlife - the hotel is perfectly positioned to be right in the centre but not too disturbed by noise.
The hotel rooms were basic but comfortable and clean.
The one downside was that it was an 18-30s holiday and though the reps were friendly you got a bit sick of them pestering you. Also the flights were awful - absolutely NO leg room at all. Never fly Thompson just stay in their hotels!

Well the resort was fabulous cannot complain about that. The room was very basic but it was a budget holiday so I guess you get what you pay for.
The staff in the hotel were fab especially Mario who has the patience of a saint when it comes to the 18-30's holiday makers coming and going drunk at all times of the day.
The flight was awful I will definitely not be flying with Thomas Cook again. I know people complain about no leg room but this was horrendous and for a 4 hour flight it was ridiculous, I am a female with long legs so god only knows how the males with long legs coped.
All in all though a fab resort for anyone who wants a lot of night life and a more relaxed daytime.

This resort was pretty much what we we're expecting to be honest. When booking with 18-30s, you cant expect the Ritz, but it was quite adequate for what we needed!
The rooms were of a reasonable size, and the bathroom was ok for Greek standards! The rooms were cleaned every day by friendly cleaners, sheets changed twice in a week. The guy on reception was lovely, was really helpful with where to go/what to do day and night.
The pool also had a great atmosphere and the pool side snack bar was really reasonably priced, especially for that much needed hangover food in the morning/early afternoon! Only thing was that you couldn't eat or drink your own food at the pool. This was fair enough, as the owners of the snack bar were a family and obviously have to make a living!
Location was really central, good for stumbling back in in the morning. However, any early nights were a definite no no as there were bars right next to the hotel that were banging out tunes until about 6 in the morning. But overall, it was a really good hol!
