Most unreal holiday ever, the bar staff at four seasons were awesome! before i even got my suitcase through the door i had 10 seconds worth of sambuca poured down my neck! the rooms are good but you have to pay ridiculous amounts for breaking the littlest of things, 20 euros for getting a mark on a towel! and the owner van IS NOT the man, one of my friends was sick and cleaned it up and he demanded 35 euroes and then slapped my friend for it, most of the time he is miserable unless your giving him money but its still a great hotel to stay at because the bar staff just start your night off in a great way! malia itself is unreal couldnbt have asked for a better week, loved every minute on got serious holiday blues for not being their right now!
- Advice: drink before you go out, like with a group of friends in your room so that when you get dowqn to the strip you dont have to spend as much to get drunk! we all chipped in for drink beforehand every night and i usually only spent 20 - 30 euros a night

i've just literally got back from Malia this morning and feel rather sad! The holiday blues have already kicked in. I went and stayed at the 4 seasons with a group of 8 lads and it couldnt have been much better. I honestly believe that for the budget of the average teenager, it is probably the nicest hotel in Malia. We had 4 rooms of two in the new appartment block and they were clean and extremley spacious. The only thing I was disapointed with however was the toilet however, this can easily be looked passed as the room and cooking area were of high quality for a group of 18n year old boys. The bar area is also extremley impressive with very friendly bar staff, Aris and Nicky in particular! The quality of food served by the hotel for reasonable prices was also pleasantly supsrising. The location of the hotel should also be a major attraction for anyone looking to visit Malia. It is about a 7 minute walk from the top of the strip which is perfect as it is away from the noise of the clubs and bars. There are also some fantastic pizza resturants around the hotel vicinity such as ''Old Times'' and ''Zorbas'' resturants. The pool area was of good quality however I personally opted for the beach most days which is about a 20-30 mintute walk, but a very pleasant one at the same time. All in all, due to the looks, quality and location of the hotel, I would have no problem what so ever in recomending this hotel to anyone. Holiday to remember. Fantastic.

i was at the 4 seasons in malia last year. i really enjoyed my sta. i was worried before i went as i read all the reviews which werent all good.yes the rooms are basic but its one of they holidays hat you arent going to sit in the room all day. we had a cleaner at least once every two days so the room was as clean as you yourself kept it. i liked staying at the 4 seasons so much im going back this summer for a week.

I have just got back this morning from staying at the Four Seasons for a week. It has been the best holiday I could have hoped for.
When we arrived we were very apprehensive about this hotel due to some of the reviews on here and also as it was a very cheap last minute booking but our doubts were soon gone. On arrival to the hotel we were given a talk by the manger Van who did set out some rules but they didn't make me feel as though I was in school as stated below. Safety deposit box, air conditioning and a ticket to the welcome barbeque the following night cost 70 euro per room for the week which was definitely worth purchasing. I highly recommend attending the welcome barbeque as it has lovely food, free bottle of wine and a chance to meet all your fellow guests.
The rooms were very clean. The linen and towels were changed every couple of days and the balcony was good looking out onto the pool area.
The 24 hour bar was definitely the highlight. The bar staff who work there (Marsela during the day and Aris and Spiros during the night) are fantastic, are so friendly and really get the party started at the night. The food available during the day is your typical sandwiches, toast, cooked breakfasts and is of a good quality. Bar prices are also the cheapest you will find in Malia with drink offers and also no spirit measures (The bar staff believe in the more stronger the better).
The location itself is very good as you are around 10-15 minutes walk away from the strip which is ideal as it isn't noisy and you can actually sleep (if you want) but the beach is around 30 minutes away and a bit of a trek so we stayed around the pool for the duration of the holiday.
I definitely recommend going into the old town which is around 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel and eating at some of the authentic greek taverns such as San Georgio's as the food there is fantastic and has a great atmosphere.
Overall I think the Four Seasons is brilliant, and I cannot wait to go back!!!

after reading the terrible reviews i was quite apprehensive about stopping at the four seasons. when we arrived we had a lecture about 'the rules' of the hotel from the owner which was annoying as we felt like we were back at school and just wanted to get on with our holiday. i have to say that the reps are so annoying. when we finally got checked into our room the rep came up to see us, i told him we were not interested in any excursions but he told us he had to talk to us for 'health and saftey' reasons. he then sat for 45 minutes trying to sell us things, he told us absolutley nothing about health and safety. dont buy excursions from the reps, theres a shop just around the corner from the hotel that sell the exact same excusions for much cheaper.
the hotel itself is in a good location as its a ten minute walk to the strip meaning its close without being too noisey. the staff were very friendly, especially the bar staff and the bar is open 24 hours. the rooms are basic but clean, we were in room 307 which has the biggest balcony in the hotel but the pool is quite small. however, its a bit of a treck to the beach, it takes about half an hour to walk which in the heat can feel like forever but you can get a taxi which is fairly cheap, although make sure you arrange a price as soon as you get in otherwise they will charge you whatever they feel like as they dont have meters. once you get to the beach you are forced to buy a sunbed but you can haggle with the man, we managed to get four days worth of sunbeds for around ten euros.
be prepared to be hassled when you go to the strip. they will offer you free drinks to get you to go in their bar and some will literally pick you up and carry you into their bars and they can be very annoying. dont walk straight into a bar though as you can haggle with the bar reps to get lots of free drinks.
overall, i really enjoyed my holiday in malia and the four seasons was a great hotel to stop in, i would definitley recommend it to anyone who likes lying in the sun all day and drinking all night!

What a great hotel! After reading all the previous bad reviews for this hotel i really didnt want to go and tried changing but was too late. However when arriving we met the manager Van who was friendly and informed us the bad reviews were from the previous manager and staff and that some rooms had be refurbished.
Rooms were modern practically brand new, was very pleased. The only thing is we never received toilet paper (lol) but other than that you could not fault the rooms. Bar staff is great Aris always makes you smile.. the pool is kind of small but decent.
Would highly recommend this hotel after seeing some of the other hotels in Malia. Yes there is a 10-20 min walk to the strip/beach but its away from the nightlife which is good.
would definately go back maybe 2011 haha!

Stayed in June with 6 friends for a week.......
The hotel bar staff were fantastic, always up for a laugh & getting every one involved.
the rooms were nice & clean, quite basic but everything you need for a week of partying in the best Greek resort!
The hotel staff were very helpful, the reception was 24 hours & they were always willing to help (e.g. ordering taxis for us when our friend had to go to hospital).
This was definately THE party hotel of Malia... there was always someone up & ready for a laugh... usually the bar staff.
Aris, Markella & Niki r the best team in the world!!!!!
I will definately be returning ... hopefully very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxxx
ps cant comment on the beach as i never went but im sure its lovely :)

I went to Four Seasons, Malia around the end of June and before going read the reviews and was so scared it was my first holiday abroad with my boyfriend and friends. I was that nervous i tried to change the hotel... however on arrival we were greeted by the nice staff who we had been told had been threatening it was hard to believe!!! the bar staff were absolutley fab and always up for a laugh!!! We got told the safes got broken into but when we saw them you knew there was no way anyone could get into it.. i even left my suit case open alot of the time when we were out because i realised that no1 would get into it. Yeah if your a **** with the owners im sure they will be ***** with you but in our week stay there was nohing like that going on everybody in the hotel got on!! if you break something yeah you get fined but its fair enough your in there hotel and they have to find a way of replacing it! but if you replace it yourself it will be cheaper...on the first night my boyfriend puked on the sheets so i scrubed them clean in the shower to avoid a £50 euro charge! it is deffinatley one if the messiest hotels going with the 24 hr bar, and its only 18-30's groups in four seasons so you dont have to worry about waking people up because everybody is still onitttttt!!! deffinatly would go back if i had the chance!! dont listen to them reviews there ridiculous! have fun at four seasons!!!! xxxx

right seriously, i read the reviews before i came and i was soo put off going, but i went anyway and i had a fantastic time. the staff are ace, they have fun. the rooms aren't the best but your only in them to sleep and shower cause your out for most of the time. if your going with 18-30's you will have an amazing time as they make you feel welcome and let you have fun. Fair enough most of the reveiws for the hotel say that some of their things got stolen, all you have to do is put your valubles in the safe, plus the air-con remote cause 'apparently' the cleaner will steal it and say you lost it.
but just go to this hotel and i can garentee that you will have an amzinggg time :)
xx

Stayed at the Four Seasons for a last minute honeymoon. The rooms are very basic, so dont expect much from them. Id have to agree with what others have said about the owner - he does whatever he can to try and make money out of you! Make sure you have plenty of cash on you when you arrive if you want A/C and a room safe. The public areas of the complex are very nice, although the pool is a little on the small side. The bar staff are excellent, they do their best to create a good atmosphere, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Location wise, its not the best - about 10 minutes away from 'the strip', and a further 10 minutes to the beach. If you hire a quad or a buggy on your stay, to the right of the hotel is a road winding all the way up into the mountains which is really good fun. Four Seasons is near a number of back street restaurants, the two opposite the hotel in particular are really good. All in all, Four Seasons is a good place to stay if all you want is somewhere to sleep, recover from your hangover, and with a good bar to start your night off in. Malia itself is brilliant, has everything, great atmosphere, you wont be disappointed by it!
