I went with club 18-30, there were 5 of us all 18. When we arrived at the four seasons we were given 2 appartment on different floors, we were dissapointed as we had asked for them to be next to each other or at least on the same floor. Then we got to check out the rooms and it was a complete joke. one of the two rooms was AMAZING really brilliant bathroom which is always a worry, loads of room and everything seemed new. the other which was on the floor below us was a mess. the bathroom was small and smelly, cracked tiles with a broken shower curtain. the room itself was unbelieveably small compared to ther other we were given and the balconey was constantly flooded. We complained the our reps, and to the manager as we felt it was unfair that we had all spent the same on a room and given two completely different standards. Nothing was done, appart from a free bbq meal for one person. it was ridiculous. Then we went to out rep meeting in our room.. just as we had got their in the middle of the night. we were very tired, pissed off with our rooms and were expected to pick and choose events we wanted to do. The events however i found are really just suited to a persons particular tastes. some of my friends didnt enjoy some of them as much or at all as others. i thought that they were all worthwhile but i hadnt expected to pay out 150 pounds of my money on arrival, along with £120 per room for aircon and a safe.
Other than our terrible arrival, the pool and bar is very nice. really amazing barstaff who are friendly and funny. the music around the pool is good but plays all day and is very loud. Oh also by the side of the one day my friend got 10 euros stolen from her bag it was definatley the pool cleaner man ..as another one of my friends watched him do it. When we complained they said that the cameras didnt point in the direction where her bag was sitting. Also told a rep they didnt do one thing about it.
The loacation of the hotel in respect to malia strip is fine.. it is about 10min walk and is definately not safe to walk down alone, there are a few back alleys on the way. i particulary enjoyed being a little further away from the nightlife as during the day you could experience seeing the locals in their daily business. Where The four seasons is located is referred to as the old town.
Eating out around the Four Seasons is fine however there are some really amazing places to eat at the very bottom end of the strip. so be pepared to walk to and fro the stip during a day e.g. the beach, dinner, partying.
The beach is lovely. Beautiful sand, great water and if you walk on up the beach you can pick a nice area with few people around. when you arrive at the beach the annoying sunbed man will really annoy you with buying one so if you prefer a bit pf piece and quiet decline his offer. The beach is similar to any beach when u are on holidays such as the sport and cafes at the sides but this one is really good quailty. Walking to the beach from Four seasons is pretty hard in the hot heat and is quite far but is worth it when u get there.
The nightlife in malia is just brilliant. Countless bars and clubs and few you have to pay to get into. really good offers on drinks and as usual the pr's are very very pushy and annoying. its very hard a lot of the time to KINDLY ask them to leave you alone when they have lifted you over their shoulders to bring you into their bar.
OVERALL Four seasons i say could be an excellant complex if you are lucky and get a good room and you watch your belongings very carefully.

I stayed here in August 2009. the hotel itself looked ok but it was not clean we had to use the SAME towels and bed sheets the whole 7 nights we stayed and it was bloody hot not nice.
You feel as if you should not touch a thing in the apartment as if it breaks you WILL have to pay! Lucky we didnt break a thing but we did over hear some other english lads about to get the crap kicked out of them if they didnt pay up and the manager wasnt going to give the guys there passports unless they did!
Malia itself is lovely the people outside the hotel are very friendly they remember you but be careful as they are very good at ripping you off!
I would NEVER stay at this hotel if you still have time i would cancel the stay here and book another hotel.
OH and if you do stay here make sure you check out by 12.00 o'clock as they conveinently FORGET to tell you this and try to charge you for over staying your welcome.
DONT STAY HERE!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The people on this site must have stayed in a different hotel to me. I had the best time in Malia but would never stay in this hotel again if someone paid me. The rooms were basic but ok except in the bathroom there were a hoard of ants and loose wires poking out of the wall. The staff (except the bar staff) were the worst. They were rude and unhelpful, one called my friend a 'son of a whore' and we overheard one of the security guards tell a pair of young women he would 'cut them up' if they did not pay up the extra 12 euros owed for staying in the hotel. The staff were constantly trying to sting you for everything and shout at you. Security burst into our room at 6am while we were sleeping as they thought we were hiding people in or room-a complaint that had no basis. they were like the Gestapo and I hated it. By all means stay in Malia but avoid the 4 Seasons like the plague!

Just back from the four seasons hotel in Malia and had a great stay there. Me and two of my friends went (aged 21) and thought it was a really good hotel. The rooms were very clean and we had our sheets changed every two or three days! The staff are nice and friendly too. There is a nice pool too.
If you want to stay close to the busy nightlife then this is the ideal place, only about a 5/10 minute walk.
If you are looking for a cheap but nice place to stay i would reccomend this.

Sack the "security guard"!!!! Very odd and very dodgy man and clearly no good at his job!
Overall, had a great holiday! Just the second night someone tried to break into our friends' room whilst they were in it, so very very wary after that! I would advise everyone to get a safe as two other rooms (without safes) were robbed on that same night and, as per the other reviews, no CCTV footage, and the management were extremely unhelpful.
Tha Anna Maria building definately not safe, as that's where the rooms were that got robbed and also my friends, but me and my other friend was on the front facing the main road which was much better and much safer!
The emergency number for the Reps, not really an emergency number as when you contact them at 3 in the morning they do not arrive until 10am!!
Take extra care with your valuables!!!!!

cam back from Malia in august 2008 with me and my two friends aged 18, i dont care what anyone has to say about this hotel!!! this was the best holiday ever!!! we did not get robbed and all the staff were amazing! yeah ok... the toilet may not have worked for the whole holiday as it didnt flush but to be honest it doesnt really matter... use the one in the 24hr bar downstairs its not trouble and people dont even look twice if u go down in your pjs.
Do get a safe or you will lose your money... not from it being stolen just merely to peoples drunken antics on holidays its best if u know where it is. we never used the cooker once we ate out every night! loads of places to eat best was one down on the strip close to the beach cant remeber the name but it has amazing food for cheap! it was an absolute trek to the beach and it was so hot but if u eat on the way down there it breaks it up! never once sunbathed or went in the hotel pool... theres no point wasting your holiday staying at the hotel!
thoroughly recommend the booze cruise!!! best day of the holiday it was 45 degrees scorching but u cudnt feel it coz of the breeze! you get to stop off in the middle of the sea and jump off the boat and have drinkin games!
overall this was the best holiday of my life... the PR'S are very annoying just keep walkin very persistant though!!!
i love FOUR SEASONS!!!!!!!! only negative point was that there was 3 girls in a room and the 1st bed was in the kitchen thought that a little strange so at 4am when we arrived at the hotel we picked it up and put it in the bedroom and pushed them all together! we never got charged for anything and had a 2 wkd balconys which came off the bedroom.. we were on the top floor so could see everything and down to the beach from our room.... room 208...
IF YOU GO TO MALIA STAY AT THE 4 SEASONS COMPLEX! ITS AMAZING!!!!!

I went 2 the four seasons hotel in august and having read some of these reviews before i went i was dreading what the hotel would be like, however the four seasons is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at, the owners can be w*nk*rs at times but the bar staff were top. it was a bit of a trek to the beach but the strip wasnt far and a lot of people end up going bck 2 the four seasons 24 hr bar once the clubs close. if i go back to malia nxt year i will be going to the four seasons hotel. my holiday wouldnt of been the same without it!

i stayed at four seasons july 2008 and had read these reviews before going there, these reviews totally put me off wanting to stay there and was completely dreading my holiday as most of the reviews on here consisted of people gettin robbed, toilets exploding and what not!
The hotel was not like this at all, although yes the rooms were basic and the bathroom wasnt the nicest, it was livable, the shower had no shower curtain and had to be hand held this just ment you could have more fun in turning it into a sort of wet room!
We decided against getting a safe as we had read yet more reviews on here and people had said that things had been stolen from their safe. Although our rep advised we should get a safe, as if we did get robbed our insurance would not cover it we still decided against it, and kept all our money hidden in a safe place. This beach is a slight walk but 4 of us hired quad bikes for our two week stay which was amazing and made a 20minute walk a 5minute quad trip. The strip isnt as far as people make out either, when your pissed up & having a laugh u dont even think of how far it is, its about 10minutes.
I loved every minute of my holiday it was amazing, the pool was a little on the small side but if ur an early bird you can get a sunbed, around the pool it does get extreamly hot as all the buildings provide no breeze what so ever, so we resorted in heading to the beach most days where there was a lovely breeze. The besch also does good deals on sunbeds, we normally paid 5euros for a sunbed for the day & got the next day we came for free.
Theres always plently around to eat when ur stumbleing home after a night out, dominos was our faviouite, but theres also a KFC & two subways. McDonalds unfortuently had been closed down :(
Dont be put off by the other reviews like i was we had a fantastic time & didnt get robbed.
Although i would be slightly weary of staying the 'Anna Maria' bit of the hotel as i did speak to a couple of lads who had been robbed on there 2nd day,but if your not in that part you should be fine
