Submitted By: stripedbloodThe beach is great and never too crowded but the water was a little murkier than I like. We never had a bad meal. The food, bars and restaurants were superb. OUr favourite places were an Italian, the Venezia - back up the main road towards Corfu - only a five minute walk from the centre though. The Pizza was the best I've ever had. And I've had a lot! The Kohenoor Indian had great food (we like Indian food and tis was as good as anything we get at home), superb service and it was just further up that road on the opposite side and the Dionyssos which is almost the last building on the main blocks in the centre of Sidari and backs onto the beach. Great food, great service, fantastic views over the Canal D'Amour area with sunsets a plenty. Then back to the Paradise where the staff and fellow guests always helped make it a good night. The entertainment around the resort was a bit sameish - Karaoke, Elvis impersonators, etc but we aren't big drinkers. The Town was busy but good fun. The Apartments were spacious - ours had a double bedroom, kitchen dining area, and a room which would be a lounge generally but was a 2nd bedroom for us. The kitchen had a table and chairs, 2 electric rings and a small oven/grill big enough that it allowed me to cook full English breakfasts, grill toast and, one evening, a pasta dish and garlic bread! So sufficient. A good sized fridge with freezer compartment. LOADS of cupboards, plenty of cutlery, crockery etc and we ate on the balcony - which could be entered from either room. We had two big wardrobes in the main bedroom, a dressing table with drawers, two bedside tables with drawers and a storage area, and there was another double wardrobe in the other room. Never had more clothes space! The bathroom had a shower, sink and toilet and the shower was a bit hot and cold. We would recommend The Paradise to anyone and I hope I'll get back there again. Car Hire for 20 euros a day was great value and its worth shopping around. The water park was our only coach trip and we had a grea time there too. All in all a great holiday and very relaxing.
Hi to anyone we met on or travels! Graham, Gwenda and Philippa xx

Submitted By: Mrs A HopkinsonWe had a ground floor studio overlooking the pool which had more than enough space and storage for the 3 of us. Kitchen facilities quite basic (but aren't they everywhere?!?) - saying that, we ate out every day, so as long as we had a decent fridge to keep our drinks cold - we were happy.
The pool area was lovely, same old problem with the reservation of sunbeds at 'stupid' o'clock in the morning - which was very annoying when most were left with just towels on until after lunch!! Not a massive problem for us as we spent most days down at the beach. The sea is very shallow for quite a distance out - my daughter loved it! Had read some reviews before going that stated that the beach was quite dirty in sidari - it's not - they seem to have an extreme problem with seaweed, which as well as being in the sea, obviously washes up onto the beach and can make it look - what some people may describe as - dirty? We used to just find a clear spot and set up camp there for the day (paid €7.50 for 2 loungers & umbrella).
The staff at the Paradise were very friendly - only took the bar staff a couple of nights before our order was automatically brought to our table without even going to the bar and asking. There's a small playground just next to the bar too (only way out was past where we were sitting), so best of both worlds!!!
Sidari has a wide range of eating places - traditional greek, mexican, chinese, fish n chips, american diner, but our favourite had to be Mikey's (on the main strip), traditional English food, cooked well and generous portions (know this won't appeal to everyone but I am the fussiest eater ever and like to stick with what I know!).
Overall the holiday was one of the best I've had, the Paradise looked the nicest apartments & pool that we saw, playground & kidsclub for the kids, the food very good at the Paradise Restaurant (and you get 10% off & free kids meal if you are staying at apartments).
The only reason I didn't give 10/10 was because we had paid for the air conditioning (at about €100 for the fortnight) and a few times the cleaner left our balcony doors open which were on a sensor that switched the aircon off if open - so when we came back from beach the room was warm. I know its nothing major - but it annoyed us at the time when we were hot from the beach & just wanted to relax in the cool for a bit!!!!
Would certainly recommend these apartments - and if you go - hope you have a fab time!!!

Submitted By: Miss L BroadThe hotel in itself was lovely, the rooms were very spacious and were cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. There was 2 large pools to choose from (the second pool was part of the sister hotel, but could be used by all), which were cleaned daily and the pool area was kept clean and tidy all day every day by the wonderful pool bar staff.
All staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. There is snacks served all day everyday at the poolside bar, which is great! We never had a problem trying to get a sunbed around the pool as there was always ample choice. Entertainment was laid on in the hotel bar nearly every night and was good (no rubbish hypnotherapy or drag queens!)
Sidari itself is a lovely town and Paradise apartments really is in the centre of the resort (although not too close so that it's noisy!).
We would definately recommend a meal in the hotels restaurant Paradise Restaurant as the food is really lovely and there is a wide variety of greek, english, italian and lots more! You also get 10% off the meal price and a free jug of wine as your staying in the hotel, which is always a bonus!
Memories restaurant is a definate 'must do' as the food is really lovely, and every night you are treated with greek dancing, plate smashing and fire dancing!
We paid for excursions to aqualand, which is a good day out for all ages. We also paid for the greek night excursion through Thomas Cook, which was a good night out, although felt we wouldn't do it again.
We are a young couple in our early twenty's, but we feel these apartments and resort are good for people of all ages as there is a wide range of restaurants, pubs and bars which suits everyone!
We feel that Paradise apartments in Sidari is a must for everyone and we have already booked to return again next year!

Submitted By: Miss K Geens4 one-bed apartments, and 1 two-bed apartment, and all of them were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Basic kitchen appliances are provided - mini oven with hob, kettle, fridge/freezer, as well as plates, dishes, glasses, cups etc.
The bathroom wasn't exactly big, but there was plenty of room to actually move around and shower yourself properly.
In the two-bed apartments, both bedrooms have a wardrobe (two in the main bedroom). The white shutters on the doors to the balcony/patio can be a bit difficult to open, but we usually left them open and just shut the main doors.
The two pools are both quite big, with one being a basic rectangle shape, and the deep end being 2.55m, whereas the second pool is a curved shape, and only going as deep as 1.5m, so it's good for children and non-swimmers.
If you have a late flight and you don't want to pay the extra to keep your room on, then be forewarned that it costs €2 per person to use the shower room, and an extra €2 to borrow a towel - which is just madness.
Paradise is situated just off the corner of a cross-roads, which can be a bit of a bugger to try and cross - keep checking because quad bikes and motorbikes appeared out of nowhere a number of times.
Turning right at the cross-roads, you have a McDonalds, and a few restaurants, but it gets much quieter the further up you go.
Turning left will take you to the bars, restaurants, supermarkets and gift shops.
If you go straight on at the cross-road, you can see the beach immediately. The beach is all sand (except on the shore where there is quite a bit of shingle, but that is only on the shoreline), and you can walk out to sea for ages before it seems to get much deeper. Sunbeds are €7.5 for two, but if you walk along the beach, you come across Astoria restaurant/bar where they have free sunbeds - the only downside is they are set back so there isn't much of a breeze, and the sea directly in front is a bit murky. A tip for the beach lover - keep your flip-flops on when walking along the beach - the sand burns your feet!
If you want to see the Canal D'Amour, be prepared for what seems like a mission walk in the midday heat! But the coves are beautiful, and the water is sparkling. You can jump off the rocks into the deep waters, but make sure it's a calm day - there was a bit of a panic when three locals jumped in when the waves were too fierce and couldn't get out.
If you like an adrenaline rush, there are plenty of watersports - Banana boat, flying fish, rings, parasailing... but for those who like to take things a bit slower, there are pedalloes and canoes. A word of warning if you decide to take out a pedallo - watch out for the reefs - we got stranded, and when we tried to push ourselves out of it, one of the girls got a sea urchin in her foot.
A few restaurants to try out: The Three Little Pigs, with their fabulous fire show; Memories, where you get up with all the other customers for a trail/dance around the restaurant; The Rooftop Garden, with fantastic food and English owners. I suggest staying away from Dorothea's though - lots of bugs around, they get the orders wrong, take a very long time, and then try to overcharge you. Admittedly, we were a big party, but we knew that there would be an extended wait, but Dorothea's just took the mick.
Some bars that we frequently went to: Falcon - a fantastic range of music, Ice - great to chill out in (and a great waitress who gave us any free shot we liked with every drink - Jaime - she has short black hair and a lip piercing), Calypso - great atmosphere, SOS - another chill out bar, and Caesars - the proper night club for a rave!
There is a curfew for the loud music, but each bar had a watcher, so when the police car came along, the music would shut off momentarily, until the police had gone past, and then the party would continue!
There were always the locals trying to sell roses and glowsticks, but a simple "No thank you" and they left you alone. What was more annoying than that was the number of people trying to coax you into going into their bar. If you don't want that, try and take the back route, or our excuse was always "We're looking for someone at the moment, maybe later."
There are plenty of day trips out - two different waterparks, Hydropolis and Aqualand (with the latter being the best), numerous boat trips, coach trips, horse riding... there's plenty to do!
All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely consider returning!
N.B. Corfu airport is just like any other Greek island airport - small, cramped and stuffy. There's nothing to escape it, but it's just a warning.

Submitted By: Miss LJ MarrThe whole apartment complex was kept clean including the pool area & reception bar. The staff are all very helpful & friendly, I am a single parent & travelled with my 3yr old daughter but I felt very safe and comfortable on the apartment complex.
The resort of Sidari itself is quite developed but not too big or rowdy. The Canal d'Amour area is worth a visit, particularly Sunset Beach.
All the restaurants we visited were really nice and I didn't have a bad meal in any of them - the children's menus are a bit limited particularly if you have a child like mine who doesn't eat chicken nuggets, sausages or chips although most places were happy to give her potatoes/rice & vegetables with her meals. I particularly liked the Roof Garden as the children's menu was more varied and the normal menu was extensive, all food was cooked from fresh and the service was excellent.
The Olympic restaurant is very popular and gets busy from 8pm so service can be slow but the waiters entertain you with Greek dancing so you don't mind, the traditional Greek dishes of Stifado and Briam are a speciality here and definitely worth a try.
I had read reviews of Siadri and heeded the warnings regarding mosquito’s- I took a plug-in for the apartment (make sure you have one for each room) and used Boots repellent pump-spray in the evenings and neither me nor my daughter received a single bite!!!
Overall we had a great time here and will definitely be going back.
