After reading reviews I was unsure about Kocer, but these were all from last year or the year before...and it must of changed owners since then! It's a fab place to stay, went with my boyfriend and 2 friends. You get what you pay for; basic hob for cooking, small fridge etc... more

As a Uk travel agent I was disgusted with these apartments. When I contacted Thomas Cook I was advised that this was a family hotel. However, If you are travelling with children under 10 then this hotel is no good. There is a small park on site but I wouldnt advise using... more

Quality Of Rooms Varies Greatly!!
We booked our holiday on the internet through Thomas Cook and were allocated a 2-4 person apartment, however when the invoice arrived we had been allocated an attic room. When I rang to query this I was told because we has booked late, rooms were allocated due to party size and availability. Fair enough but it would have been nice to have been informed whilst booking online. Be warned! The attic room was small, basic but ok. Main problem was the 3 flights of steps and no lifts. We paid 110 YTL (about £40) for one weeks air con and safety deposit box but both were essential, room got unbearably hot during day. The staff are polite and friendly but not OTT, bear in mind they work long hours for very little pay. Overall the complex was clean and well kept with a lovely pool area. Didn't try the Aussie bar as it seemed a bit Turkish Butlins family bar, karaoke most nights sounded horrendous but kids would probably love it. Location of apartments is great, plenty of places to eat and dolmus pass every minute or so...orange to go to Icmeler, orange or turquoise to marina/town centre about 1.75lira anywhere (about 60p). Beach is 2 minutes walk, you do get hassled everywhere you go but it never bothered us as we found Turkish people are very polite and friendly. The best bar we found was if you walk out of reception and cross the main road, bear left as if to go to the seafront, and down that street there are two bars opposite each other: Black Mirror and Albatross. The guys and atmosphere in there were amazing and really made our holiday. We have never been on holiday and spent the entire week going back to the same bar, but the lads in there were so nice. If you go there say a big hello to Adam, Mitch, Ali, Mehsut, Tiger, Fred and everyone else...you were all an absolute knockout. Love Suzanne and Lee
great place!!
great place, stopped at the kocer 3 times, june 05, june 06& sept 06, its a average place no frills, never had any problems what so ever, the staff are a lot to be desired tho.
great place to stay if self catering
just come back from kocer appartments, great rooms, basic but clean ideal for self catering, waiters so helpful food good and cheap, lovely big pool, good pool bar, not far from beach, some way to eat on very corner, the garden res was good food excellent steaks, faulty towers great place with loads of entertainment in the evening, good food, great waiters so friendly . the aussie bar is such good fun, staff attentive, helpful, allows kids in, gary is the man to advise on trips as he knows everyone, the clothes are well made so good bargins, would reconmend to any one wishing to go to marmaris. we are going back in july, as a holiday it had everything that you would need, for a no nonsense holiday., and without saying that the place was beauiitful and very clean and the sea was so clean and clear, just enjoyed the whole trip, sercet gem hiddened from the hype, above all a great place to stay

What a Dump!
We stayed here 2 years ago and found it to be a horrible hotel. The rooms were like bed sits and the staff were terrible, i would advise to stay elswhere
Sorry do not recommend
What can I say location for beach and restaurants excellent. There pool is clean and big. Now the bad bits, we were in block A - floor one, the rooms were filthy, paint work was worn, tired and filthy. Net curtains was missing, sheets on sofa bed had holes in them. The sofa bed was hell on earth to sleep on. Rooms to the front overlook busy road so noisy and unable to leave balcony windows open. Yes we went in October but doesnt mean we should have substandard accommodation and service. Reception staff not friendly, asked for room change to back of building on the Tuesday told we could move on the Friday when we asked again they said Saturday as we were leaving monday morning there was no point. Dont have any prices on there menu at pool side and they are pricey. Day of welcome meeting we asked for a safe at reception but were told we had to have breakfast before meeting and was really pushy making us go to pool bar first never mind we actually just wanted a safety deposit box lol. The rep when we told him of our complaints, on arrival there was a bin full of rubbish and mouldy bread which they left for two days even he said through gritted teeth that the hotel owner had been a joy to work with he was literally counting the days till his stint was over!!!!! So would I recommend, if you want to be beside the beach, not fussy about dirt then go for it. Personally not again in my lifetime Sorry.
loved it all
club kocer is a well set out hotel. the pool is massive and both times i have been to turkey i stopped at this hotel. the rooms are spacious and clean. the maids clean the rooms everyday and put the towels on the bed with a different patteren everyday. the staff are all friendly and the lads from aussie's bar and aswell gary is like a big brother to me he was always there for me. lopez is a good laugh and knows how to cheer you up. And all the rest of them are friendly. the people from the shop are friendly and helpful. i would advise any one to stop at club kocer and next year i am hoping to stop there again. !BY CHANTELLE FROM NEWCASTLE!
Absolutely Hated
what can i say - we holidayed there in october 2006 - what a [---] hole - all i can say is if you can change venue do so - it is filthy -dirty - budget and basic. If you like no home comforts - noise and polution of road and cars book here!!! plagued by wild cats - very unfriendly staff- and terrible atmosphere - the aussie bar is a sleeze pit and i do not advise you to go there - like i said CHANGE VENUE
wont be back
We went for a 1 week break and had a terrible time. first the attic room was a mess and the staff was not friendly in any way, But the pool was big compaired to other partments. The reception staff never once smiled or made conversation at all. Then comes the good bit, while sitting at the pool side whith other friends and small kids there is a comotion in the reception area and then a gun is fired and nobody knew what to do then 2 woman staff start fighting for about 10 mins in full view of every one sitting. Time to move out. We contacted our rep and within an hour we were in club atrium in armutalan and they were superb. Definately not be back to kocer again.
