Have just returned from villa Denise in Lanzarote in Matagorda. I had to write a review as before I went I noticed there was no review on the web and it well deserves one!
The villa was outstanding. Lovely location, nice and quiet but well in walking distance from shops bars. There was a centre opposite with all the essentials, supermarket etc. There was four villas detached next to ours, all the same layout. They were kept clean and pool was cleaned weekly.
The lovely Matagorda beach was a stones throw from our villa. I will advise that the restaurant that is on the front beach, has blue and yellow umbrellas is a rip off! food was dear for what you get and service was terrible, think its called sirocco restaurant. We waited about 30 mins for a drink and lost count on waiting for food! Apart from that everything was fab.
Would go back again. Airport was not far 10min taxi ride and was about 7 euro I must state as well, we booked through First Choice and when we arrived a rep came round that day to check everything was ok and we received a welcome bag including wine, water, milk, butter, bread, jam, crisps, I could be here all day, it was more that satisfactory. They also called in day before departure to remind us of flight times departing etc.
If you want a relaxing holiday in the sun this is the one! Happy holiday!

Excellent holiday. Accommodation accessible and comfortable with good facilities, especially satellite TV (Football!). Extremely close to shopping centre - good Spar - but still very peaceful and relatively private. Pool a bit on the small side but deep and clean.
Maragorda beach is clean and sandy with some rocks as you go into the sea. Good snorkelling. Great cycle path and bike hire facilities. Taxis dead cheap and easily hailed / booked. Villa only 10 mins from airport - you must walk along the cycle path to the airport and experience being right underneath a plane when it lands - mindblowing! Some air traffic, but did not intrude on our tranquillity at all! We travelled with First Choice who were professional and excellent all round, especially our Rep Hazel.
Definately recommended and we can't wait to return next year.
