Went to the Tuna 26 April-10 May. What a fab hol we had. The place is spotless, as is the resort and beach. We had a 1 bedroomed apartment for four of us which was very spacious! Only gripe was lack of wardrobe/drawer space but there were some hooks near the bathroom which came in handy to hang clothes on, and one on the back of the door! We just compromised!!!!
The staff were fab, as on the 3rd day my youngest broke out in Chicken Pox...but they couldnt help enough. Bob the Bar manager was great. Pool area very clean, and not too much chlorine in the pool.
Didnt have tin opener or bottle opener but so what?? we went and bought each from the nearby supermarkets, wasnt a problem and didnt break the bank! Fab bar at the back of the hotel called Egon bar-loved it there!! Kids made welcome everywhere!!!!!
Would i go back??? oh yes, like a shot......We paid just over £100 each, best budget hol ive had, ive stayed in 3 star hotels that wernt as nice!!!!!!

Tuna Aparts.
the best holiday ever.
it really was amazing the hotel was
spotless and the staff was amazing they
cannot do enough for you. Salim is the best
and hes funny he called me princess all
the time and i used to call him dad all the staff
are very very friendly even the cleaners.
eko the barman was really fun to be with and
always keep you smiling bilal the chef
was brilliant and his food was out
of this world. tuna apart is really ideal
if you like going to the beach as the beach is only
a 1 minute walk from the hotel . i didt find that
the staff was pressurising or that they was in
your face. it really annoys me when they say that salim
was always intimidating them to eat in the restaurant
salim was the nicest person i met on holiday
he never asked me and my family to eat in his
restaurant. i found that the blue night along the front
opposite the aladin hotel was a beautiful place to eat at.
also the blue night is below the delfino hotel
the blue night was brilliant the entertainment was amazing
the staff was all friendly especially dogan irfan aziz emin
raymon and usuff they were great. i cried when i had to leave
the blue night and i cried when i left the hotel
so it just shows how nice the staff were to me and my family
i would deffinetly go back every year.
we enjoyed our time there that much my family is
considering moving out there to live
please dont listen to the bad reviews on this hotel
it was amzing xxx

i have recently just arrived home from a holiday in alanya with my partner, before we visited the tuna appartments we read the other reviews on the site and were really quite concerned as the reviews were far from good. when we arrived at th tuna appartments which was early hours of the morning we were welcomed by the recipionst and given are room which was lovely and clean and honestly had enough space. the pool was small but that did not really concern us as it was big enough. the beach is literally acros the road and the centre is about a 30minute walk which is great. all the staff were very helpful to us during are stay and food was great. there was not alot of english holiday makers in the appartments mostly people from denmark, however we made friends with lots of nice people. the tuna apppartments does not have entertainment for children which may effect some people but didnt concern us, the only bad comments i personally can make is the safety deposit box and air conditioning were very expensive and they could make it cheaper, also are towels were not changed the same amounts as everyone elses but the receptionist was quick at helpin us out, all in all we had a good holiday and will be back. :D janine and ethan from ireland.

We have just returned from Tuna Apartments. me (55) daughters (27 & 30) We had a good time. We were just looking to relax and spend time together, which is what we got! Staff were excellent..I agree Salim can be a bit OTT but soon gets the message when he has outstayed his welcome!! He is only doing his job after all!! The rest of the staff were great, just like family really and go out of their way to be helpful. I don't see anything in the comments by others about being ripped off just the opposite in fact! The apartment was basic but clean, towels and bed linen changed frequently. the only downside was no hot water to speak off in mornings but you just adjust your routine to fit! You know if people want to stay in a 5* hotel they should pay the price and if they want everything English then stay in England! It makes me angry when the first thing people do is look for the nearest fish and chip shop!
For the price we paid it was a good holiday and certainly reached our expectations.

please do not go to the tuna apts in alanya unless you like being bullied and forced to eat there oh the staff start off being freindly and very hospitable untill you go elsewhere to eat!! both my friend and i were extremely intimadated by the bullying tactics of salim and the rest of the staff when leaving and entering the apartments and if looks could kill we would have been dead on the floor!! my fruends 10 year old daughter was upset by the whole tuna experiance maybe it was because we were women on our own. safe to say we will never return!!

This was our 10th visit to Turkey and first time to Alanya. Transfer from Antalya airport was long at 2 hours in the early morning, but did include a short break half way. Things will be better when the new local airport opens in the next couple of years.
Alanya is a large international resort with many things to see and do especially in and around the old town and harbour area. As a result of the strong European presence (not many Brits) almost everything is priced in Euros, although they will take £/€/Ytl and there are many change bureau and cash machines in town. There are plenty of shops and decent restaurants to tempt you. We particularly liked the Opera House Restaurant and the Queens Garden.
The best way to get in and out of town is on the frequent buses, cost 1Ytl (£0.42) each, or you can walk. It took us about 45 minutes to walk into town from the Tuna Apartments.
The castle is well worth a visit. You can catch the bus from the bus station in the centre of town for 1Ytl each. It will take you to the top. Entrance to the castle is 10Ytl per person. The views are stunning. If you’re able bodied, walk back down into town, visit the little old ladies stalls selling local crafts at very reasonable prices and enjoy the changing views all the way down.
Cleopatra beach is a long sandy bay fronted by hotels and restaurants and has a wide promenade all along its length. On the beach there are snack bars, toilets, open air showers and many sun beds. Prices are 3Ytl per item, i.e. 2 beds and a parasol 9Ytl for the day.
The Tuna Apartments are in a good location about three quarters of the way along the bay and very close to some local stores and a supermarket. Rooms are over 5 floors and there is a lift. As a 2star rated establishment the rooms are pretty basic but very spacious. Ours was on the rear of the building on the fourth floor overlooking a small park and not overlooked by any adjacent hotels. Being self catering we ate our breakfast on the good sized balcony every day. There was a nice bar area with the pool and sun beds just outside. Unfortunately at this time of year the pool only got the sun in the early part of the day so we never used it, going to the beach instead, just a short 50/60 metre walk.
We also went on a boat trip for the day, which was excellent. We found a nice Turkish bath in one of the side streets in town where we had a sauna, steam, scrub, wash, oil massage and face mudpack all for 15 Euros each and taking about 2 hours. This is something we look forward to every year. We went on the bus to a town called Manavgat where there is a large market every Thursday. The sights sounds and smells are something else. There are many other excursions that are available although we declined this year. We never book excursions through the holiday company as they are usually double the cost you can book on the street.
So far it’s all been pretty good but there is a downside to the Tuna apartments. The hot water ran out at about 7 o’clock every day. The towels were only changed 3 times in 2 weeks, then only after we requested it. The bed linen was not changed once even though we requested it. The daily maids only emptied the bins, they did not clean or sweep the floors or do anything else. We were not going to let it spoil the holiday by incurring bad feeling by complaining. We had the safety box at £10 per week but declined the air conditioning at £4 per day/£35 per week. Thankfully at this time of year you don’t need it. Keeping the room on for extra time on the last day at £20 was well worth it when your pickup time is 9.30pm.
Overall a most enjoyable holiday in a wonderful location only let down by the people and service in the accommodation. Alanya and Cleopatra beach are worth visiting again.

I am just back from the Tuna Apartments and having read the reviews before I went I was concerned but I am glad I didnt change and have already booked to return next year. The staff were friendly and funny. We were even invited to eat with the staff on our last night and they were nothing but helpful.
The apartment was clean, bright and lovely with a view of the mountains.
The hotel is for people who want to have a relaxing and entertaining holiday.
With regards to turkish men and women being in the pool late at night I would have to rubbish that claim, I remember that incident and would state that it was guests of the hotel in the pool enjoying their holiday and why not!
In summary I would say the Hotel is for all ages and families, its enjoyable, 5 mins from the Beach and 10 mins from the Supermarket. I recommend for everyone to give it a try.
p.s. the tables didnt have any burns in them as far as I could see.

If your looking for apartments that are quiet and stress free ? Then DO NOT book Tuna Apartments in Alanya ! Myself and my family have chosen Turkey as our annual holiday for the past 3 years, the turkish people have ALWAYS made every effort to ensure our holidays were memorable in the best possible way. I can honestly say this visit was NOT the case this year . The resort of Alanya is beautiful, the weather was fantastic ! The thing that spoilt our stay, were the people running the apartments. They constantly pressured you into eating in their "restaurant / eating area ". Salim ... " The manager" was the one who pressured the most. He would regularly question where we were going and why we didn`t eat there ? These apartments are self catering accomodation. He would hover around and try to listen into conversations between guests.
We booked this holiday two weeks before we flew and paid in full. After booking the holiday we were told of bad reviews. We soon found out why for ourselves.
We voiced what concerns we had to the Thomas Cook Rep at the apartments and were told to " Just ignore them !"
There were signs up and around the pool to say it would be closed at 7pm. There were turkish boys in the pool with girls well after the said time, shouting and carrying on into the late hours.
Any future visits to Turkey.. we will definately go back to Kaan Apartments in Marmaris or Anfora Apartments in Altinkum !

The staff at the Tuna Apartments were friendly, honest, very helpful and a lot of fun. The whole place had a family feel. The hotel apartments themself were clean, spacious and offered all we needed. The pool area wasn't huge, but was great fun none-the-less. If you wanted to go for a midnight swim, Ersin and Salim were more then happy to switch on the pool lights and serve you drinks until you were ready for bed.
I'll defo be going back there with the girls next summer.

Had a fab time at the Tuna Hotel. Spotless, spacious appartments. As is the pool/bar area.
The staff were fab-especially when my 4 year old broke out in chicken pox the 3rd day!!!!
The rooms facilities are basic, we didnt have a tin opener/bottle opener but we just went to the supermarket for these and it didnt break the bank!! Only small gripe is lack of wardrobe space when the appartments are fully occupied, but there were hooks outside the bathrrom and we used these too...........
Certainly deserves another star. Bob and the other management were fab. Cant wait to return!!!!!!!!!
