We had a wonderful holiday here. The apartments are spotlessly clean and the people very friendly. It is quite a way back from the beach, but we managed with a 4 and a 6 year old easily. We used the kids club at the large hotel down the road. The apartments are next to a new main road, but it isn't busy and there was no noise from the traffic - in fact there was hardly any traffic on it!! There is plenty of space around the pool so you don't feel like your sitting on top of people. The beach is the same. I love Pollenca and would definitley come back to these apartments again! The only thing I could moan about is the ants in the aprtment - but they provided us with ant spray!

I've just returned from the Las Velas and Puerto Pollensa with my husband and 10 month old son. The first apartment we were allocated was very damp, to the point that our clothes and the bedding became damp, (this may have been due to the freak week of rain they had 2 days prior to our arrival). We reported the problem to the rep and reception staff, who were very apologetic and promptly moved us into a much drier apartment. The apartment was spacious and clean and certainly deserves its 3 star rating. Although the hotel staff were more like that you'd expect at a five star hotel. They were extremely helpful and our son was particularly taken with the lady on reception, who was lovely. However, a big problem for the future will be the main road currently being completed directly outside the apartments. It seems as though the road has been built to direct traffic away from the coastal road running from puerto Pollensa to Alcudia. If it does become a busy road the noise will certainly be heard from inside the apartments when the windows are open. This is a real shame as the standard of the apartments and friendliness of the staff make the Las Velas an otherwise perfect choice in its price range.

great spot, good rooms, clean with comy beds nice balcony. Staff spot on,good gen on cars trips etc, much better than tomy cook who will have to improve this aspect if they want more custom! gardens good /pools good. But you can also use pollens park hotel as well which is very busy during peak, but a snbed could always be found! Great disco for kids and elivs etc can usually be found in the building for the grown ups! Staff here also vgood and most have worksd there for some time which is always a good sign.

EXCELLENT a nice family environment, the best I have ever been to - you will be crazy not to go. The reception staff were very encouraging by teaching and helping you with your Spanish, they were also very helpful on offering places to go for the day- one of the most spectacular was driving around the mountains EXELENTÉ ADIOS AMIGOS!!!!!

We stopped in a 2 bedroom apartment. They were nicely decorated, clean, and spacious and had a well equipped kitchen - the only thing missing was a kettle! The 2 pools were lovely, surrounded by a well kept lawn and had a children’s section at one of them. The apartment we stopped in had a patio that led onto a lawned area. This was ideal with an 18 month old as we would put out our sun beds on the lawn just off from the patio and I could keep popping into the apartment when she slept.
The apartments are in what seems a residential area and took us around 15/20 mins to walk to the marina. The supermarket, Pollensa Park Hotel and beach were only 5 min walk away. When we booked with Thomas Cook we were told as guests of Las Velas we could use the facilities of the Pollensa Park, which unfortunately we did not use.
The grounds are well maintained, pools clean with enough beds and parasols. It was very quiet (which I think was the time of year we went) and no entertainment which we didn't mind as our daughter was in bed for 8pm and we just sat on the patio and relaxed.
Just down the road you could get take out pizza and roast chicken if you didn't fancy cooking and a well stocked spar is not far away.
The resort is great for families or couples. It is flat, has a wide promenade, sandy beach and around the town there were a couple of pedestrians areas, so we could relax with lunch or dinner whilst our Daughter could play with the other children and be safe.
There are restaurants and plenty of bars. When we went it was busy with families and older couples. No real buzzing bars to speak off, but that was perfect for us.
We are going back into these apartments in June 08 and will definitely try out the hotel facilities.
You get the best of both here. The apartments for peace and quiet and just down the road the hotel for day or evening entertainment for you and the children.
