Well we arrived at the hotel, and was quite impressed with the layout of the facilites, but it was only when we went for a walk about that we realised the swimming pool was actually located across the road from the hotel, not inside as pictured on the hotel tropical website... more

Brilliant value for money. The staff were very professional and helpful and the room was very clean. Will definitely stay here again.
club 18-30 trip from bubblensqueek_7
Me and my fiance went there in may of this year & we were with the club 18-30s. When we arrived the hotel had just opened, we found the breakfast awful so we just went down to the bay for food morning day and night. The location of the hotel is ideal for getting out and about and me and my partner absolutely loved it for that reason, the beds were not as soft as what the looked like in the photo's but sleepable for the nights so if your like us and like a night out and dont come in till 7-9am then god you'll not care how comfortable the beds are you should be too pissed to notice lol. Staff there are helpful unless like us you get sun stroke haha then your on your own dont expect them to leave you alone when they want to do room inspections. Oh and if you happen to be sleeping absolutely starkers make sure you cover yourself with the sheets as the cleaners just come in even if you have told them to go take a run and jump lol! Hotel Tropical could be better but it could be worse so all in all we found it pretty average nothing to rave on about! Hope everyone that has been there had an awsome time tho Steph & Ryan

Well ibiza itself was amazin but the hotel did have some let Down, First of all there wasnt any air con, this was a real problem for three girls tryin to get ready on a small room, all there was, was a big fan that blew hot air around! The food... The breakfast was really nice fired eggs bacon and sausages every mornin wen we were up that was!!! ; ) The night time meal wasnt so good it was all different types of food that you couldnt put together to make a proper meal! There is a shop right next to the hotel where we got all our cheap drink from for before we went out. The hotel itself is nice and clean (but the maids come and wake u up so they can tidy your room (we wernt happy with that when we had a stinkin hangover!!! : ) The best day of our holiday was defnitly alex Ps birthday party in an abandoned zoo (was amazinnn) if you have the chance to go to next years i recommend it!!! over all ibiza is amazin and were flyin bak out july 2008!! Obvoisly in a hotel that haas air con though haha. GOOD JOB WE MET THE GRIMSBY LADS THERE ROOM WAS LOVELY N COOL COMPARED TO OUR SWEAT PIT!!! Enjoy ur holiday!! Carley, Amy n Stacey- NEWCASTLE!

We have the pleasure to inform all our guests that all rooms have been recently equipped with air conditioned, service already included in the rates. Each room has a thermostat to regulate the temperature desired at any time. Regarding our room cleaning service all guests have in their rooms a hanging leaflet which can be left outside the door on the red side if they do not want to be disturbed while they are sleeping. However, our maids will knock on our guests doors at 2.00 p.m. to know if they want to have the room cleaned, as the service finishes at 3.00 p.m. At Hotel Tropical we are happy to receive these reviews to know what our guests think about us and year after year try to constantly improve our hotel services and facilities to meet the needs of our clients and make them enjoy their holidays with us.

Grim, Hot and Basic from purpledpoo
This place is depressing. Rooms are so hot you have to keep the windows opened which due to the location is really noisy (ok if your gonna be partying all night too i guess). Breakfast was a real dissapointment and dinner was not much better, just about eadible I would say. Pool is a decent enough size and not bad for swimming but area around pool is cramped. On the plus side staff were ok and its in a good location if you want to be close to the west end. I personally wouldnt return here in a million years.

Regarding the food served in our restaurant, we offer both continental and english breakfast in a free buffet style served from 08.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and the buffet dinner which offers thematic dinners having the chance to enjoy our cuisine and experience different menus such as Italian dinners, Mexican food or an english roast meal. As a novelty our ground floor restaurant has been recently redecorated and our guests can enjoy chill out tunes and relax themselves while having their food. We are trying to impove our international menus to meet everyones tastes. Decent but air con a must from andos
14 of us sunderland boys stayed here last year, was a decent gaff made a classis woth stacey as our rep. pure mint. AIR CON must be installed in this gaff as it boils the ricterscale. yo yo stace andy, dave, rich, kelv, big andy, dale, keiran, trev dav, turner.

Ok for club 18-30 from RebeccaB_1
You will always be vastly out numbered by people from club 18-30. Surprisingly this didn't mean it was a noisy hotel but that may be because we were not on the same floor as them. However we did have some noise problems from the apartments opposite at night but luckily we had ear plugs with us. The noise from nearby appartments would not have been a problem had we not had to sleep with the windows open due to there being no air conditioning. The room had a wall mounted fan but all this did was circulate baking hot air. If you are going to stay Ibiza at the height of summer I would strongly recommend staying somewhere with air con as it makes the difference between a good nights sleep and a sleepless night. From what I've seen most other hotels on Ibiza come with air conditioning. Finally, the food was quite poor so we ate out every night. At one restaurant the waitress told us that 2 other groups had been in that same night because they hadn't wanted to eat the food provided by the Hotel Tropical. Having said all that, the hotel was clean, had relatively good facilities and helpfull staff and for someone travelling on a budget it is adequate and fairly well located. I suppose you cant really complain when it is so cheap!

Ive been to the tropical twice now in 04 and 05. i absolutely love it! the hotel has a great atmosphere, everyone being crazy al the time! Everything goes! hotel itself is quite decent, if you book though request a balcony or else u wont get one! i found that out the first time. At night you can sit on your balcony chilling b4 you go out talking to others off the balcony. Its great. However i found the food quite different and because im a fussy eater i only went down on certain nights, thats just my opinion though. Its literally a 2min walk to the nearest shop and there are 3 of them. The west end is approx 5 mins walk down past the ship. The swimming pool is also a decent size with plenty of facilities incl nice bar food, its also not very expensive. All in all i would deffinately recommend the tropical to the young generation up for a beast of a time!!! P.s If you vandalise they make you pay! someone had taken off some room number signs off the wall and left them for our taking, however the maids found them the made us pay 60 euros! so beware 4 repercussions! Watch out also because pedros always watching!(hotel guard)

me and the lads went there for 2 weeks. had a wikid time. its about 3mins walk from the top of the west end. there is a road in between the hotel and the pool. wich i thought was a bit rubbish at first, because the picture shown in the brochure was a bit misleading and didnt show you the road. but its perfect for sitting on the balcany and chucking water on unexpecting people walking by ha ha. if your going to take a geto blasta make sure it has a long lead or bring batterys as the nearset socket is quite far away from the balcany. the rooms where clean but the food was ok most of time. i would deffintly recommend getting a safe as the doors to your appartment arent exactly secure. but then again whos going to brake in when theres a bunch of uk thugs living there ha ha. all in all excellent value for money and great location. will be going back there again next year. thats if they let us. and one last thing if you smash the mirrow in your appartment make sure you keep the frame as they will charge you less

I've been going to San Antonio for the best part of 10 years now (refuse to grow up) and must say this hotel is one of the better ones for the value. We went all inclusive which works out about an extra £89 for the week and this is definitely recommended. If you havent booked All Inclusive then just ask your travel agent and they can sort it out before you arrive. The all inclusive means you can drink beer, vodka and mixes, malibu + mixes, etc from 11am until 6pm, you can eat as much as you can chew from the same time then after your dinner at 7:30pm, you can hit the hotel bar and drink the same until 10pm. We easily got our money out of this since we were on a stag. The bar staff are a bit grumpy, only the elder spaniards, but the young one Pedro who doesn't hate the english YET is fine and will advise you of Bora Bora / DC10 times to hit peak or none peak. Some of us had balconies and TV's while some of us barely had a fan so you may want to ensure you get what you ask for. There is a gym which has a treadmill, peck deck, bar and a few free weights but lets face it, who can be bothered with keeping tones on holiday! The pool area attracts none guests who are working out in Ibiza which is a good sign and can sometimes get a few DEALS around the pool such as cheap tickets. The location is literally around the corner from the Ship Inn at the top of the west end, so easy to stumble home if you still go to the west end (yuk). I would recommend Plastik after 1am for a good cheap night in San An.

I thought the tropical was excellent value for money!! The facilities were outstanding and the service was brilliant. Obviously the accomodation was 18-30 so it was lively and quite noisy at most times, but if you are going on holiday for a good time this is definately the place to stay! I found the all of the guests to be friendly and of a similar frame of mind to myself and the staff were welcoming at all times. Only just returned from here a month ago and already booked for next years visit!!
