I to was really worried about going to The sunshine apts ,we booked a last minute deal with Thomsons ,in our party was myself and my better half both in our 40's and my 16 year old daughter and her friend also 16 ,on arrival we were a little dissapointed because when checking in we had to pay 100 euros for a deposit for the room ,which is to cover any damage that may occur and giving the rep of the place you straight away feel ,what a rip off ,you think your never gonna see that again ,but anyway .We had a asked for a room with a sea veiw and got it, the room was really spacious ,very clean a large balcony ,a kitchenette with all the facilities you need for basic cooking . Food you buy for every day in the spa shop was really quite expensive ,but if you can be bothered to cram basics i.e biscuits , super noodles ,pot noodles ,cheese ,bacon ,bag some coffee up before you go your money will go a lot further ,for instance on beer lol.We found the staff very friendly ,the lovely Spanish lady who works on reception has to have a mention she was so kind and very helpful ,the other receptionist was a Scottish lady who we had read about in reviews she to was lovely a mind of information about where to catch the buses ,and any local information you require.The pool was just the right size plenty of sunbeds all in good condition ,the pics of the pool make it look really basic and it does just not sum up the actual atmosphere of the place but its lovely ,club music is played all day around the pool ,yea o.k you get ya jack the lads around the pool drunk and being load but so what you have to have entertainment ,there was a mixed variety of guests ,and although you've got lads havin a real good time they still had respect for every one else .The cafe served all your traditional every day foods at reasonable prices,we ate a lot of their food ,food was great. There was a pool table, two computers ,i think it was 1 euro for 10/ 20 mins,Honestly ,spotlessly clean every where.Every body makes the same mistake of getting on holiday and straight away you think i'm not paying the pool bar prices for beer , i'm gonna go down the spa get some cheap beer sneak it down to the pool side and slowly get out my face , but this will not be the case the main bar man is very aware of this and understandably is just awaiting for the new arrivals to turn up with their shop bought beer. I think it is fair to say the hotel bar is a business and selling drinks and food is how they make there money, he tells you to take it to your room and obviously this does get some peoples backs up / and some do try to carry on drinking so then he will say put it in the bin or lose it,so yea people have moaned about this on reviews but take it with a pinch of salt.The apts are about a 30 min walk from San Antonio town ,this sounds a long way ,but you have the choice of taxi ,water taxi which is lovely 2.50 or 4 euros return , or the bus at the top of the road ,1.50 euros,but if you go up town most people do not come back till the next morning and there's nothing better than a long stroll to walk off loads of alcohol,a 5 min walk down the road is Pink Panthers and Bucaneros just great for cutting your teeth on ,local beer 1.50 euros a pint ,large jugs of cocktails 10 euros usually shared by 3, or more,Sue the pink panther owner is something to do with the Eden club and gives out wrist bands which wil get you into Eden for free before 2 ,my daughter and her friend had a great time in Ibiza ,out partying every night ,in the two local bars mentioned ,they new they was only 16 ,but they kept an eye on them for us .The bay has a friendly homely feel to it and we ,got to know the area and the people real quick , returning to the apts at night you are greeted by the night manager and the big security guard, ok we were a nice couple and so we were treated very respectfully ,"hey hope you had a pleasant evening and all that!! . Then there are the other guests who have to keep the noise down and go quietly to there rooms. I would love to go here again i wish i was there now ,i would go for sea view room again , poolside rooms are great because you can see whats happening, but a bit to lively with the music from the bar and that ,but hey every one to there own .A lot of younger people might think its to far away from San Antonio,but San an is really manic and full of life ,but its always nice to get back to the apts and just chill out , on that note i am gonna finish , go to Sunshine Apartments have a good time.

we have stayed here 4 times this year was the best no drunks ,all the staff smile and helpful in the past you would see bottles cans etc on balconys not now it was a pleasure we are in our 50s and the noise of music does not bother us its just great basic but who wants to stop in bed all day its IBIZA but also it must be stressed a lot of people think there is only one side to the bay yer go to the right to the west end but if you like a different night go left and enjoy the other nite life.

After reading the reviews about sunshine apartments we were all nervous about staying in this hotel me and 5 other girl friends...BUT ignore all thos bad reviews because we had a wicked time there.... the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were VERY friendly they have security on the doors at night to check you are ment to be staying in the hotel they do not let any strangers in!! under any circumstances!!!
the staff were helpful.
Only down side to the hotel was that we were on the other side of the bay which is about 20-30mins from the westend but not all bad because there are boats that run from either side of the bay for 2 euro 50 so cheap as chips.
Would definatly stay there again!

Ok me and 4 of my mates have just got back from staying in this hotel. ignore the bad reviews. We had a scream. Its just been taken over this year by the hotel chain azuline. We never seen anybody getting robbed and the noise reduction is like that in most hotels after 12. Its a young person hotel and they have music on around the pool all day up until 12 midnight. The staff were really helpful and we would deffo stay here again. The rooms are very basic but for 5 lads between the age of 23 - 26 it was ideal and all we needed which was a base to come back to after heavy partying. we never ate in this hotel so i cant judge the food! We will deffo be staying here again next year. Because this hotel is deffo party central.

Right. I'll start off on a good note, 2 girls arrived for a 2 week holiday reception very helpful and polite told us all we needed to know blah blah checked in got our key and up we went. First impressions were middle. Room was very clean but down to the bare minimum of basic! Hardly anything to cook with, 1 item of cutlery each and 1 plate and cup! Nothing to wash up with (had to spend just to eat of clean plates) no TV in room, yeh I know your on holiday and we didnt plan to spend much time in the room but sometimes you just wanna completely stop and watch tv or something but no, had to stare at the same four Walls until we summoned energy to get out!! After unpacking we went to look for some place to eat, plenty of choice, cheap enough in walking distance so no problem there. We were a week into our holiday when we heard about 2 robberies then 11 days when 2 more were reported. So after that we felt very unsafe in the hotel and felt the need to take all valuables in a handbag everywhere we went, whether it be clubbing or just walking to the hotel bar this bag never left our side! Lucky enough we wernt robbed.
The west end is a TREK away! Advertised as 15-20 mins walk but took us 40 minutes, there is a water taxi but stops at 11.30pm but a normal taxi only cost around 8 euros.
Bar staff were very nice to us even spent a night drinking with us! Food was okay at the hotel but pricey, I'd eat out if I were you.
Surrounding areas live up to your expectations but hotel quite a let down. I wouldn't book of ur thinking about it but if you already have just stay safe and check you have all your things maybe even keep them on you like we did.
Places I'd recommend to go: Jackie Browns AMAZING FOOD! cheap as chips and HUGE portions. Seriously amazing food! All English staff and a 2 min walk from the apartments.
Bucaneros and donnegans: brill atmosphere cheap drinks and food. Food very nice too!
Enjoy San Antonio but try and book a different hotel!!!!

me an 2 mates stayed here we never got robbed,we made as much noice as we liked (and we were very loud) an never got told to quiet down,the staff were fine to us + the bar man was giving us free shots , ok the rooms are pretty basic but its a 2 star thats what you pay for, the only problem i found was its to far away from west end bout 45 minutes walk,its not that bad at all....

This hotel is right at the the other side of the west end do not relaise how it is classed as san Antonio bay as it is a 30 minute walk to any clubs, the day we arrived there they was 4 girls sat outside who had been kicked out because they broke a chair this after the kicked of because they had there room stolen, when we checked in we was spoken to like scum the management explained no noice at all after 12 o clock and you get 3 warnings or your out! we went to the hotel then came down for the first time other people had been robbed the receptionist didnt see to care at all the room was horrible our bed were so bad we put the mattress's on the floor! do not stay here, luckily we did not get robbed.

Went here in 2010 with 6 other girls. We had a great time here and met alot of great people.
We stayed for 2 weeks and while we were here we felt like the staff was pretty unhelpful, one of the beds in the room was broken when we arrived, and we kept asking at reception to have it fixed or replaced but it never got done. they always seemed unhappy whenever we asked for more loo roll, seemed to be such a hassle for them. Once it gets to about 12 at night they dont like you to have your music very loud, and when u get in during the morning hours they like u to be quiet and go straight to your room, sometimes the security guard follows you to your room to make sure you go in.
The food in the hotel was okay nothing great, most of the time we ate out, there was a really great thai restaurant just along the road from the hotel that we had dinner a few times. Other than that we have a good time here.

had my credit cards, money, 600 fags stolen from my hotel room nobody helps you, makes out your lying..
its awufl place. Can´t make noise its like being in prison!!!! go somewhere else or get your money back.

As long as you dont mind having about 3 hours sleep a night it is clean and the pool is nice and clean food isnt too ad either.just got back 6/6/2011 but be warned the noise at night is horrific I would never go back.teenagers screaming banging doors vomiting in corriders and swearing.they start at 3 in the morning and it goes on till 7 oclock when they are still just getting in from their night.the worse hotel I have stayed in ever.
