Totally Awesome
from kellyjoe
So I stayed with a few mates at Central City for a week in June 2008 and was really fearing the worst after reading all these reviews before I went. I was totally dreading it but when I got there I was pleasantly suprised! The room was massive but basic, but then I didn't really expect it to be the Ritz so was pleased with that. The pool area was clean and there was NO salt water in the pool?!! The cafe/bar on the complex did alright food and the booze was pretty cheap so all in all I had a great experience. And obviously the bonus of staying at this place is the location, its about 2 mins walk from the West End...awesome! So if you are looking for a place to stay within a great location, cheap food/booze, a massive pool and a basic room you know where to go!!! Over and out Jo
Do not stay here!

This hotel is terrible it is like a prison it has bars up at the windows, which you are better off staying in because the rooms with balconies get the doors kicked in and your stuff gets robbed, we were only there a week (a week too long I might add) and we heard of two rooms that were robbed. It is not even that clean and there are no Self-catering facilities, and it most definitely has not been recently refurbished, unless you count 1978 as recent...
Loved these apartments!!!

I stayed at Central City with friends (10 girls aged 19-21) in July 2007. I honestly couldn't say a bad word about the place! Yes the rooms were very very basic but it's not advertised as being anything else. We found all three of our rooms to be clean and although the maids didnt come every day, if you asked them for anything they were happy to help. They also had their trolleys lying in the corridors so if you really needed anything you can get it from there. All other staff were great. The barman was really friendly and the food was lovely! The reception staff were friendly, Ruth was english, she was firm but very helpful and pleasant. My favourite staff member was the night porter, Syed....he was brilliant! Such a good laugh and very tolerant! I lost count of the number of times he let me into my room because I didn't have the key. All in all I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. When we arrived no safes were available and we intended to get one but never did. This meant in each room there was lots of money, cameras, ipods etc. We had parties most nights and did not know who was in our room, luckily nothing was stolen and I realise now that it was stupid of us. The point I am making is that I do not think the hotel can be blamed for break in's, it's purely down to who is staying there or around the area at the time. If you go to Central City with a view that it is going to be horrendous (which we did, I was dreading staying here!), you will be pleasantly surprised. Don't expect the Ritz or a good nights sleep and you'll love it! I would highly recommend it to all young groups (male or female). We are returning in July (2008), along with two other groups of people we met there last year and I can't wait!!! :D xxx
It Was OK!!

Before i went on my hoilday i looked on the website for this hotel and i was a bit unsure wot it was goin to be like but when i arrived i found the hotel was just basic. My room was on the 5th floor which i was happy about. The room was just basic but was ok. It was clean apart from the balcony, it was a bit dirty and could do with a wash but apart from that it was ok.The maids only came round to our room once so we had to ask for clean towels and loo rolls. All the hotel staff were are lovely friendly people who i felt were ded helpful. If you want to get a good tan and relax i would go the beach as the pool area is a show, the grass was ded long and there wasnt even any music on at all, come on i though it was IBIZA!!! There is a little cafe in the hotel which was ded clean and cheap. The hotel wasnt that noisy either, i though it would be as it it an 18-30 hotel but it wasnt that bad, i couldnt hear much maybe as i was on the 5th floor !!!! If you just want an party hoilday and just want a bed to sleep in then i think this hotel would suit you really!!!

Well where do i start? firstly despite the reviews on this website i decided to go ahead and book this hotel anyways, thinking that everybody has different standards and circumstances they may have been unlucky, how wrong was i? me and two other girlfriends arrived on a friday and checked in - upon arrival all guests must give 60 euro deposit for the rooms (why i dont now there is nothing in them to possibley break, there scabby enuf as it is) anyways we enter our room 109 (yes another one on the bottom floor) after readin the reviews about rooms on the bottom floor on this site i immediatly went to reception asking to move rooms claiming i felt it was unsafe for 3 girls to have a room on the ground floor, our response sounded promising "tomorrow people are leaving and the first available room is yours" thinking this was fair enough we endured our first night in room 109 with the basic amminities (kitchenette was just 2 gas hobs a fridge and a sink) no microwave grill kettle or toatster so as far as self catering goes if u like things fried boiled or frozen ur all set! The next day we requested to the (unhelpful) rep if we could move rooms - again being promised the next available room would be ours! feeling much better about room 109 after a nights sleep n toast cooked with a frying pan we accepted we could be ther all week and made the most of it! - tho still feeling paranoid about the security of the room i made sure we kept the pathetic gold latch to close the door closed and pushed table and chairs against the door when we went out, we also kept the light on to make it look habited. tho sure enought as we found out this clearly wasnt enough. last night we went out clubbing at 3 am and returned at 5 to find the whole pattio door thrown into our room and out belongings stolen suitcases had been turned upside down purses emptied phones stolen mp3 players and jewlery! luckily they wernt interested in debit cards - thank god as it booked my flight home today! upon realisation of our burgulary the creepy man referd to in review 5 ran to our room and called la guardia (wat a loda use they are!!) the rep (from another hotel) came to see if we were ok! we wernt! as soon as it happend we got moved to another room (why couldnt we have been moved there in the first place??) feeling paranoid and scared we moved to the other room, then realising the wondow to this one also did not lock and backed onto a low sloping room (coverd in used condoms n sick n pants) feeling insecure we spent the rest of the night sat in reception calling the emergancy numbers for the reps. one out of 5 answerd and claimed they didnt start till 10 and we had to wait till then! realisingt hat nobody rele wanted to help us we waited till ten, toild the reps where to sick it and booked a flight home! so here i am back home 3 days early warning anybody wishing to go to central city (or central shitty as the reps dubbed it) DONT! if u like to live in filth, get ur things stolen and have less ammeneties than cavemen id advise u to stay well away from this hotel! apart from that we found ibiza a beautiful interesting island (bar the drunkards and carefree sex) the clubs were amazing if a little pricey and the reastuarants on the sqaure were good, id also recommend the curry club (cheapest nices wine we found ont he island) and sunset at mambo cant be missed! but watever you do DONT STAY AT CENTRAL CITY its worth paying out for 5 star!

i was very wiery after staying in ibiza before with my bf and seeing sum ov the states the hotel etc can b in! this yr i went on a girls holiday! all sharing a room, so i kept thinking hope this is nice, lol we booked with a 18-30s through thomas cook, i read sum gud and bad reprts and as u always get both off people i thought hey lets give it a try! im glad i did, it was by far the best holiday ov my life...city central was a clean hotel, yeah rooms are basic but it has everything u need, really spacious and enuf room for 4 easily!...pool has sun aroung it all day and the bar and foor at the pool was nice but cheep! i am a picky girl, loves everything to b clean, tidy, and likes to feel safe, for a 26 yr old i did!! honestly its a nice place and dead in the centre of everything, ur a 5min walk to the beach!, 5min walk from the west end and 10 min walk to savannah and mambo! ...its not near the west end so youl still get kip, dnt worry, (well thats if the partys arnt going on in the hotel) lol...it dus happen sumtimes, but all in gud fun1 trust me this hotel is well worth the money!! also another recommendation...club parasio!! thats by far the best in ibiza san antiono !! xx

stayed at this hotel! the room was spacious and me and my friend thought we had hit it off when we saw our large balcony, HOW WRONG WERE WE full of kids throwing things out of the windows eggs in particular, would wake up every morning to what the guys ate on the way home on our balcony couldnt dry clothes or sit and and chill with a beer in the balcony which i may add is an absolute sun trap, complained to the rep on many occassions nothing really got done about it! witnessed a couple going out for a meal and a egg being smacked off the young girls back such a shame it looked so painful, shouted at the yobs that done it to grow up but needless to say they didnt! if you want a hotel with people who slam doors all day and all night and bonk with their neighbours (changing partners) and then fighting about it when they are sober then this place is for you! sheets werent changed the week i was there, and a few cockroaches think that was caused by the free food! Well weather was fantastic, so overall if your looking for a lively place where you are awake 24 7 then this is where you should go not for me sorry the whole balcony thing ruined my holiday. FORGOT TO MENTION USED CONDOMS ALSO BEING THROWN ON OUR BALCONY LOVELY!!!!!
Great fun!!

Well I stayed here July 2005, first girls holiday and it was super! Better than any other love shack I've stayed in before, especially in Ibiza! Rooms were clean with plenty of room, shower leaked everywhere though, get towels or slip!! Had a lovely view of the harbour and well close to the Sunset! Not to far from The West End either, close to 'Bull bar' where after a few is always a good laugh onto the strip. Pool was nice, bar was averaged priced! DO NOT go here if you want to be quiet, there was a scotts stag doo going on, it was mental all night, nothing but noise! DO NOT buy club tickets from the reps, they skank you! and DO NOT agree to their reunion, load of rubbish, they hound you all the time so keep clear! Reception were great also.. rate it a top holiday! All varies on personal taste i'd say!
you get what you pay for!!

Well what can i say? The word basic springs to mind! We went here as a cheap late deal... only paid £130 each so didnt expect too much. The roms were very basic..literally a bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom, but when you stay out until all hours of the morning you dont really care. Yes the plaster was coming off the walls but when you spend one hour there getting ready and the rest of the time you are there asleep, do you really care? The hotel itself is in a good location for the west end and the sunset strip, but is a fair walk from the clubs. We went with club 18-30 who hassle you non stop to join in with whatever they are doing, and buy all the tickets they are selling for the clubs and stuff....worth buyin the tickets for the clubs as they are cheaper but nothing else! All in all, it wasnt too bad an experience for what we paid, but would only recommend this hotel to people who want to do nothing more than clubbing! If you want quality, this is not for you....the central city is all about location!
Horrendous!
from HonestScotland
Stayed here during my second visit to Ibiza and was horrified upon arrival. My boyfriend and I were put into a room on the bottom floor directly beside the pool (no. 118) which resembled something out of a 'holidays from hell' episode. The plaster was falling off the walls, the bathroom window wouldn't close (bearing in mind that we were on the bottom floor), there was a terrible stench and the veranda doors (which backed straight onto a main road) had nothing more than a small gold latch to lock them. Apprehensive about the obvious security risk, we were told that it would take 3 days to move us, and they advised us not to leave anything valuable in the room....what??!!! The next morning, the rep stopped at the pool and asked me where I was staying, I replied "in the room that is most likely to be broken into in the next 24 hours", he replied "hah, 118?!" Yes, apparently all the rooms on the bottom floor are broken into at least once each week. Furious about this, we were promptly moved to another room on the 4th floor. Delighted about the move and surprised by the pleasant interior, we thought the holiday had just got off to a bad start. However, the Spanish man at Reception (who worked evening shifts) took a liking to me and a disliking to my boyfriend. I endured disgusting looks and filthy comments (none of which my boyfriend knew about for fear of his reaction) and 2 nights later, our lovely new room on the 4th floor was broken into. When we found out about this, I went downstairs to use the phone and had that particular man at Reception say "hey pretty lady, your underwear got stolen?" - yes, it had, and how did he know that?. Upon returning to the room, my boyfriend told me that this guy had took him aside (out of the view of the CCTV) and asked him, "why do you think your room was broken into and no-one else's?". After advising the reps about this, we were moved to another hotel the following day as they agreed that there seemed to be vendetta against us from the night guard. Our experience may have been one of very few similar that might occur but the overall experience was horrific. The rooms on the bottom floor were disgraceful (we know this because we were with 20 other people....8 of which also had rooms on the bottom floor), the harassment from the staff was inexcusable, and the pool was not cleaned during our entire 2 week holiday. My advise would be never to visit this hotel, under any circumstances.

Ibiza is mental! It was my first time there and I was a little worried about what the hotel was going to be like because of the cheap price, however it was good. The hotel itself is a bit of a s**thole but i wasnt expecting anything less, the only complaint was that there... more
