Great location, about a five minute walk to the west-end, beach, Es Paridise and Eden!
Hotel was clean and our room was spacious and kept cool with the large fan that is provided.
Hotel staff are friendly, but do not speak fluent english.
Cant comment on the breakfast as we did not make it up in time!
My only complaint would be that we wer not supplyed a room to shower and store our belongings in as our flight was not untill 5:00am and were asked to check out at 12:00pm the previous day, we did offer to pay more to keep the room on but we were refused.
Overall it was a wicked holiday! Reps were brilliant! was a laugh going out with them, they also provided us with all the information we needed at the start of the holiday.
I would definatley go back.

Let me be totally honest with this place. You get what you pay for! Its what i expected,the room was fine, but there was a couple of occassions i nearly passed out from the heat. The shower and that is sound as if the wardrobe... i found the staff extrememly friendly... alot of stuff has been said about night port but i got chatting to him and he's a top bloke, he was sound to me when the police was called on me and my mate and wished us a good holiday after. We didnt use the pool as it was too small, so we went down the road to another 18-30's pool. Its crap you cant bring your own ale in the place, but if you were sly enough it was never a problem.You do get the police called often thought because on the same street is an apartment block and they are old families. One couple keep a dog on the roof who i saw feed twice in 2 weeks, and they went mad when were throwing it oreos so basically be warned about that. In terms of location the Galera is perfect, its about 5-10 min work to the west end and 15 mins to es paradis and eden, you dont need a taxi around san antonio its that small.... one thing i will say though is be careful of the side alleys and walk back in numbers because i spoke to many peeps who got followed whilst drug, keep your wits about you.... but if that dosent frighten you then the breakfast will, its [-]... dont bother... walk down to the sea front where all the restaurants are, hotel florida does a good breako for about 5 euro!
all in all id definetly return to the galera

Stayed in the Galera from the 27th Aug to 4th Sept 2008.
Hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms were small but all you do is sleep and shower in there so was good enough for us! Rooms were also very hot, but fans were provided.
Never made it up for breakfast as it stopped serving at 10.30.
Club 18-30 reps were mental, had a wicked time partying with them!!
The pool is small but clean, playing some wicked chilled out tunes all day. However it does close quite early (some days at about 3)
Reception staff really slow but quite funny!
5 min walk from beach and west end.
Would defo go back!!

Stayed here from aug 27th till september 3rd 2008. was a basic room but was clean had a shower and bath which was great. was very hot in room but there was a reasonably sized fan in the room which kept it bearable.
Breakfast wasnt much toast or cereal and chioce of juice tea or coffe. hotel staff were great paco the barman was very funny, the reps at the hotel were great stu and leanne (paz) were there if u needed them also didnt pressure u into doing any of there events with club 18-30.
Was in a good location a minutes walk to the west end and main beach of san antonio overall the hotel was good staff excellant our holiday was 10/10 the hotel gets a 8/10 breakfest could of been a bit better thats about all wrong.

The most basic hotel ever but this made it the best for me. The pure simplicity of it made it a heroic hotel for everyone involved on my holiday. Were going back this year. The pool was good, tad on the small side though. Short walk from the main stretch of pubs and 10 minute walk away from Eden and Es Paradis. Only bad point i can make is about the slow moving man behind the desk. He's a rude man, ha.

Hotel was very basic and not particularly clean. Bed sheets were not changed at all in the week we were there.
Very few trips were available and those which we were not catered for efficiently and were not great fun. Staff were friendly but I didn't feel they got very involved with their guests and didn't create any entertainment.
Overall the holiday was great but this was down to doing our own thing away from the hotel.

Avoid this hotel its awful bed bugs & mozzies in the rooms and it’s a sweat box. Pool area tiny dirty and shaded. Full of 18 year olds that bang doors all night!
Pay a bit more stay somewhere else. The bay is the place to stay nice hotels/apartments lots of bars and places to eat. Westend is typical bar street.
Go to sunset strip coastline and sunsea bar are lovely places to eat and drink bit more expensive but worth it.
