We have just returned from a week at the Granada Apts and I have to say it has been one of the most relaxing weeks we have ever experienced. The apartment we were in was just beautiful very homely, comfortable and typically spanish equipped with everything you need. The location of the Apartments is perfect just a couple of minutes from the beach and shops of Portinatx which is a very pretty quiet resort.
We were made to feel so welcome by Heidi, her family & Jayne when we arrived and the friendly hospitality continued throughout our holiday such lovely people you just would not get this type of service in a big complex.
On the monday morning we woke and sat on the balcony with coffee and all you could hear were the birds singing ......sheer peace and quiet.
We ate at the Granada Restaurant most evenings the food was always excellent and it was such a beautiful setting to eat in ! Everywhere was so clean and the family obviously pride themselves on the pristine appearance of the whole building gardens and all.
We holiday in a different place each year and we have not returned to somewhere we have previously been however this is most definately the exception, we will return to Portinatx and when we do it will certainly be at the Granada Apartments again.
We walked down to the beach opposite the Paradise Beach Hotel/Apts one evening and ate at the retaurant on the beach while watching the sunset it was just amazing we would highly recommend it.
If you like places with lots of hustle and bustle this is not for you however if like us you want somewhere to get away from it all then this is most definately the place.
On a final note the only other thing left to say is what a fantastic holiday we had in these lovely apartments run by such lovely people. Thank You to all the staff for making it such a wonderful experience.

We had one of the best holidays ever at the Granada Apartments, a family run and in a very nice location, the room was lovely and clean, the services excellent and 5 minutes walk to one of the best sandy beaches in Ibiza. We are the kind of people that not trying to be the first one’s at the sun launchers at the pool, so we not have a problem about that, we hire a motorbike and we explore all Ibiza and been in nearly all the beaches and resorts, we really have a wonderful time for the week we stay there and we can say for sure that Portinatx is one of the best if not the best spot in the island.
People say that is a big “hill” to go to some of the rooms, but really it is not at all and you will see in the photos we have put here the truth of the “big hill”, the other thing you not need to be fear of is the concrete beds, at first when you sit on it fells funny, but after you really try them they are ok and we have a lovely sleep for a week.

We really recommend the Granada Apartments to every one that like’s peace after 12 midnight and enjoy a family holiday in a small but beautiful place like Portinatx, we are going to try to book again very soon and we hope to have another wonderful holiday in our favourite place.
The only thing we recommend is to hire a motorbike, not only so you can buy cheaper food in Ibiza town, because the supermarket near the apartments is expensive, but because you will have the chance to see wonderful places in the island.

We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Granada Apartments in Portinatx. Overall we were very happy with our stay there, but there are a few points i would make to anyone considering staying there.
The main thing, that could be off putting, was the extremely steep hill up to the rooms. We weren't that bothered as we're both young and fit, but it was hard work! Anyone not great on their feet or with small children would probably find it very difficult.
Another thing to be aware of is that if you arrive late, you can expect to see a blackboard with the message that your keys are on the pool table. They don't wait up for you! So be warned! We thought this was pretty bad. We also didn't get a rep on the transfer coach, so if you get dumped in the dark by a spanish driver and find that sign, I can imagine you wouldn't be too impressed!
The Manager, Jane, is English and can't do enough for you, she is very kind. The Spanish Owner doesnt really speak English and I couldnt really understand anything she was trying to say, which was a little embarrassing as she really tries!!
The rooms themselves are clean, spacious and more modern than i expected. The kitchen was well equipped. If you are thinking of going with young children, beware of the showers. They go really quickly from freezing to so hot, i think they could burn.
There are few rooms and the complex is very small. If there are any children there, or a loud person, you will hear them all the time, which does get a bit tiresome. The pool is small and the pool side area is a tiny and enclosed square. It's very cosy when everyone is there and there aren't enough sunbeds if the apartments are fully occupied. There isn't anywhere to spread out to so you may have to consider the beach in this case.
The beach is beautiful. The sea is so clear, I've never seen anything like it. It's more like a big bay, there are no waves. There is rocks all around, which you can walk on and explore. The sea is extemely shallow and you can walk really far out and still only be waist deep. It is excellent for snorkelling and definately recommended.
It is definately worth catching a bus to Eivissa (Ibiza town) they go regularly from the main square and are busy, so get there early. It only costs about 3 euro each way.
There is probably about 10 restaurants in Portinatx in total, so for 2 weeks you have to go back, but we didnt mind as the chinese was amazing and we went there 3 times. Its the orange building, quite high up, behind the main beach.
We would definately go back and my husband wants to go again this year!
