Madara Hotel

2 weeks spent at Hotel Madara and what a fantasic time we had.
Before leaving i read the reviews here on Trip advisor and had some concerns as the reviews were either fantastic or terrible but since getting back i will try and put things in perspective!
Regarding the negative feedback on the staff being 'unhelpful' i totally disagree! The staff were fabulous and extremely helpful and polite, I think you must remember that if you take the time to talk to them rather than grunt at them and rudely point at things(Yes people actually did this) they did everything they could to help, and yes alot of the cleaners spoke no english but who are we to be so arogant to think that everyone speaks english!!!!
There was mixed feedback on the food but i can nothing but complain, i feel that the people who said they got ill probably ate and drank too much hence they got ill! The choice and availability was extraordinary. Food is available from 7am till 9pm in some way or form. If it wasn't the meals (e.g. breakfast, lunch or tea) there's food in the lobby bar, coffee bar, pool bar and snack bar!!!! I have food intolerances and a very sensitive stomach, only once i had a little upset and that was i went out and drank too much!
Now down to the hotel itself the rooms were HUGE which were in extremely good condition, clean and everything worked as it should. In the 2nd week the weather wasn't great for a couple of days and i was more than happy to stay in the room as it felt that a home from home.
The hotel as a whole was spotless, i even SEEN the cleaners out at 1am cleaning round the drunken holiday makers (YES US INCLUDED).
The swimming pool was good and there was never a problem with lack of sunbeds always plenty for all. There is also an in door pool, gym, spa centre and hairdresser on site but i cannot pass comment on these as we didn't access them.
I hope that clears up some of the confusion over previous reviews.
I am a fair judgeand rather than people reading this thinking i delusion and would probably be happy anywhere i will include the one and only negative comment i have on this hotel.
During the holiday I learnt that use of the fridge was supposedly a chargeable service i questioned this with front of house staff and was ensured that i woudn't be charged, so come the end of the week i was waiting for the reception staff to try but they didn't even mention it so i was again pleasantly surprised and left the hotel on a high!
