Reviews of Efir Beach Hotel, Nessebar

Every Irish person that stayed here was charged when they were checking out for damages to rooms or items including DIRTY TOWELS. My friend was charged for a small stain on the curtain and I was charged for a damaged door alcatrave which was definitly damaged before we arrived. We both lost out deposits of 50euro each and were told to pay an additional 400leva (200euro) and if we didnt they wouldnt give us back our passports. When we put the money together and gave it to them they decided the charge was 450leva and started threatening police. We didnt have anymore money so we couldnt pay, and my friend stood there crying which they laughed at. They gave them back eventually when they realised we actually didnt have it. Every Irish person I spoke to told me they got charged for something and had their passports witheld until they pay. I saw one woman washing her towel in the pool. How are you suppost to not dirty towels? A group from cork was charged 700leva and a group from dublin was chared 600leva. I wouldnt recomend anyone go here, I liked Bulgaria but this would turn me off returning

We were unsure about Bulgaria at the time of booking as we had not heard a great deal about it previously, however we were very pleased with the location of the hotel and in particular the standard and cleanliness of the rooms.



Maids cleaned our rooms every day and were very thorough, the standard of the rooms were excellent and pool area kept clean and tidy also.



A five minute walk to the beach and 20p on the bus to reach the nightlife, which was a little quiet as we were just out of season (8th - 15th June).



Overall a nice holiday generously helped by the standard of the rooms.



The only downfall was the need to leave rooms by 12.00pm and our flight was not until the early hours of the following morning. We paid £2 for every extra hour that we needed and they moved our room to an equally suitable one (no different to any other hotel I guess).



The hotel had a nice mix of younger and older travellers and was not at all loud and noisy.
