Read the reviews before we went and found them praising this hotel, oh how wrong they are. We have never had such a bad holiday. The hotel was very nice decor wise, nodoby on the reception spoke English and before anybody thinks well you are in Turkey what do you expect, it is very hard to communicate if something goes wrong. The room we got was on the top floor which is fine but it took the cleaner nine days to get up there to change the beds. The food was awful it was alright if you liked Turkey twice a day for two weeks, the staff where very rude except for the young waiter in the restaurant he was very polite and nice. Please do not think I make a habit of moaning this is the first time I have ever felt the need to warn people how bad this hotel is. If I could have come home in the first week I would have done. Please think twice before booking.

I am married and have two daughters, one aged 13 and the other 10. What a fantastic week we had, staff are friendly, rooms are clean and tidy and the food was very good. It definately lives up to its 5 star rating and I will certainly be booking the same hotel next year. I would have given the hotel 10/10 but the entertainment is not that good, however, that did not stop us from having a great week.

If I wanted to nit pick I am sure I could find some sillly reasons to criticise this hotel. It is outstanding value for money!!!!!!! It is absolutely spotless, well presented, lovely rooms, an outstanding choice of freshly made food that caters for everyone and exceptionally friendly and thoughtful staff. I have not one complaint or criticism and would go back any time.

Me and my boyfriend have just arrived back from hotel Grand Pasa. This hotel is Beautiful, had nothing much to complain about. Room was cleaned every day, food was lovely, a bit repetitive but plenty of choice, if you don't like the food there are plenty of good restaurants near by. Most staff are friendly, although some tend to just ignore you. the only down fall about this hotel is the entertainment at night, it's really good if you have children, but not so good for couples. one night they even put a film on. We didn't stay in the hotel at night, instead we went to a local bar called club Diana, where we stayed till 4am every morning. So the only thing i would say is, even though your all inclusive, take plenty of money with you. Turkey is known to be cheap, but in the bars this isn't that true.

Round the pool is very cramped, your almost hugging the stranger next to you, you literally have to fight for a sun bed, as there isn't enough to go around. The pool is lovely, and the slides are great fun.

The hotel has lots to offer, like a spa, Turkish baths, which aren't that expensive. There is a supermarket, which is expensive. and a hairdressers, they tend to bother you when your sunbathing offering you highlights and manicures.

Although Turkey accept Sterling the bars dont, they only accept lira. but the exchange rates at the hotel are very good.

i would only recommend this hotel if you plan on staying there 24/7 if not go self catering.

I'm defiantly going back to Turkey next year, but this time i'm going self catering.

Have a Great holiday (be sure to visit club Diana Bar and restaurant, Its next to the jewelry Market) One more thing if you get offered a room ending in 7 don't take it, the balcony is tiny, not much of a view because the building overlaps on your balcony.

My Wife, 2 daughters age 15 and 18, her boyfriend who is 20 and myself returned from the Grand Pasa Hotel on 4th August. Well what can I say a stunning Hotel, very clean, rooms are a good size and the air conditioning in them is fantastic. The bathroom was immaculate and the maids cleaned it and changed the towels daily. The swimming pool was a good size and was cleaned every night. The restaurant is air conditioned and very spacious and the food was excellent although after 2 weeks it did get a little boring. My main complaint was the lack of space around the swimming pool, the sunbeds were very close together and it could be a problem when trying to move your sunbed around, or to get past other peoples sunbeds in order to get to the pool. Also to get a sunbed you have to be up before 7.30am. The entertainment during the day was reasonably ok, the usual darts, aerobics, water polo etc. The same cannot be said of the evening entertainment which was very poor for a 5 star hotel.

All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday, went on some really good excursions and meet some lovely people.

The Grand Pasa has to be the nicest, cleanest, hotel that I have visited. There were about 40% Brithish at the hotel, with Dutch,French,Turkish,German also in residence

The Staff from the receptionist to the waiters to the cleaners were all polite and really wanted to make your holiday special.

The food at the hotel was plentiful with good choice of menu's, it was always served HOT and the desserts were excellent.

The Pool was a good size, but you do have to get up before 7.30am to get a sunbed. Now do not moan if you arrive at 9 am and are left searching for beds. There are enough sunbeds to go round, but you need to watch our European guests who tend to steal them along with Parasols if they get the opportunity..

The pool area was constantly being cleaned as was the rest of the hotel all day long. The pool itself is of a good size and is 1.50m deep throughout.

The daytime entertainment consisted of Darts, Pool, Table Tennis and Water Polo, if you didn't want to take part then you didn'y have to, there was no pressure from the Animacion team to get off your sunbed, unfortunately the evening entertainment in my opinion was poor. Now it did not spoil our holiday at all, but this is one area where the Hotel needs to make significant improvement. The Animacion tean work extremely hard but did not produce the quality which I expected for a 5*.

There are several bars and queing for drinks was keptto a minimum, watch out for our European brothers pushing in !! it does happen but not too much on my holiday.

On site there is an hairdressers, shop, spa, but local shop are not too far away.

Be warned for pick pockets in Marmaris, but there are also 90 plain clothed police officers in and around the town late at night looking to eliminate the problem.

Would I return, YOU BET, this hotel was fantastic, we met many new friends, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has a family. After reading some of the reviews below, I do struggle to wander just what people expect for their money.

Thanks Grand Pasa, and see you next year

Stayed at Grand Pasa hotel in July this year with my family for 2 weeks. I am sorry to go against popular opinion but we did not find the hotel lived up to its 5 stars at all. We found the reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful when we arrived after a long and tiring journey (3 hours on the coach) and were given 2 rooms on 2 different floors when we had specifically asked for adjoining rooms and the holiday had been booked for 9 months. The food was very repetitive and lacklustre except in the a la carte restaurant which was delicious but you could only go there once per week. Pool area was too small for the number of people staying there and had 3 tiers of beds by the pool so it was like an obstacle course to get to the pool. Entertainment was aimed at the kids nothing for adults but the animation team did their best. I would never go back to Grand Pasa, it merits 3 stars in my opinion.

Myself, Partner and 7 year old Son returned home yesterday from 14 nights at the Grand Pasa (Pronounced Pasha) Hotel.... After some of the reviews, I was a little apprehensive about the hotel, I suppose you take more notice of the bad reviews than the goods ones .... Well don't! I realised quite quickly what kind of people would write those reviews when we met them at the hotel (All I can say is Fry ups and Fish and Chips) The food was plentiful, the variety very good. All the waiters worked really hard, brilliant with the kids and were so friendly. Due to the hotel only being in its second season, the whole place was beautifully clean, ensuring no upset stomaches, the rooms were a good size and the bathrooms immaculate (including main hotel WC's). The pool is massive, great size only comment is that the sunbeds can be a little close together in peak season but everyone was friendly enough so no problems and the water slides were great fun, I turned into a 10 year old every time I got on them! Plenty of English children for the kids to make friends with and plenty for the kids to do - Mini club, Water Slides, Pool Table, Air Hockey & Table Tennis! As you will have read in previous reviews, the Evening Entertainment is not particularly great, but after a few days we used to go to the outside terrace in the main bar and meet up with everyone we'd made friends with after dinner to make our own entertainment it was great! Don't forget to go to the hairdressers at the Hotel (Ella) For Cuts, Colour, Extensions, Manicure, Pedicure and for the Men a Fantastic Turkish Shave at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK. Would we go back? - Yes! I would advise all that only want to eat chips every meal time to stay at home or go to benidorm instead or somewhere like that cos this place does not cater for you... Personally I don't think its the hotel food which is the problem!!!

Stayed at Grand Pasa between 7/7/08 to 21/7/08, first impressions were good really clean hotel, the food was ok at first but not great but it got to be the same things day in day out and it got worse, I saw them cook tea at 3pm and it dint get served til half 7 food was catered for German and russians, cleaners on the 5th floor weren't the best, took 5 days for our sheets to be changed which had blood on, people on lower floors got theirs changed daily, lifts kept breaking daily! cut my head open on the bottom of the pool and the so called 24hr doctor was nowhere to be seen and I was dragged round the hotel looking for him, eventually our rep kate (who was so helpful and would like to say a big thank you too!) got me sorted with a trip to the local hospital. The entertainment was the same everyday and was over by 12 o'clock, and was mainly catered for kids, loved Turkey would come back but not to this hotel!

Grand Pasa Hotel in Marmaris: this was a beautiful hotel very very clean, the rooms were spotless cleaned everyday, with fresh sheets and fresh towels. the food was excellent (other people have slated it) but to me it was great, always a lot of choice of meat, chicken, salads, soup, plenty of desserts to choose from, couldnt fault it one bit. the drinks are vodka, gin, whiskey or wine and soft drinks,

the only downfall was the entertainment but after talking to the team manager we were told that the hotel does not fund them to have professional acts so they have to do it all themselves, (it is pretty rubbish), but hey its what you make of it. the kids team are 2 very nice girls who show their love to the kids. play with them during the day and the kids disco at night. there isnt really anything for teenagers to do there though.

the pool is lovely and spacious and very clean and there is 3 water slides which have no lifeguard and a lot of older kids and adults use them quite dangerously so watch out for little kids coming off them and that.

my biggest downfall was you have to have your towels down by 6.30am to get a pool side sun bed, there is a lot of dutch and germans there who of course have them down well before that but if you are there about that time you are ok.

overall i rate this hotel as a 10 and i would def go back next year. Turkey is a fab place and very clean and of course lovely and hot, last week of july when we were there it reached the high 40 degreees and one day it was 54 degrees. also the markets are excellent mind and haggle a tip just walk away if they dont give you what you want and they most defineltly shout you back!!!!

go to the Grand Pasa it is beautiful.

Having just returned from a two week holiday staying at the grand pasa hotel all inclusive we were so pleased with our choice being a family of six with children there was plenty off fun to be had at the pool with the slides ect hardly saw them. If you are going to this hotel you must make sure you get up early at least 7 to get a sunbed and parasol as that is what everybody else does. Of an evening the entertainment was ok they did try there best to involve eveybody even though there was alot of other nationalitys that even with a firework up there backsides didnt know how to have a good time Thanks to maris, sileem and the other entertainment staff for trying so hard it was like trying to pull teeth for them to get people to even aplause. The water gym was great fun with maris or sileem we all had a laugh and even ended up with a massage at the end, being roped in with pool games and dancing round the pool. The disco is for over 18s and starts at 12oclock and really there should have been a disco for the teenagers under 18 maybe for a couple of hours before as we did see alot of the teenagers dancing outside the door trying to get in to dance because there was nothing for them of an evening. The hotel is stunning and very clean the rooms are cleaned everyday and are imaculate with everything that you need hairdryer ,aircon mini fridge lcd television. The restaurant staff and barstaff are very friendly if you need anything they are always there to help. The advertised playstation ,inernet room ,1 airhockey table, 1 pool table and 1 table tennis all come with an added charge from 5 lira down to 2 lira but do personally think more are needed as there was always a queue and caused friction among the children. Had a great holiday and are hoping to go back dont listen to some of the fussy people that are putting bad reviews as some people cant be pleased if you meet a good group of people and get involved in the fun youll have a great time. Amber and Cameron say hi to all the entertainment staff see u next year.
