Riad Dar Sbihi Hotel

We spent a week in this quiet, authentic and spacious Riad, ideally located in the Medina,a few steps from the souks. Excellent service and excellent cuisine (a must try). The owners, who live in the Riad have excellent tips for trips in and around Marrakech. We will surely come back.

What a lovely place! A tranquil haven away from the frenetic chaos of Marrakech. Our room was comfortable and clean. A delicious breakfast was served on the rooftop with a view of the Atlas mountains. The owners were friendly & knowledgeable. The hamman & scrub/massage was a highlight of my trip. Unfortunately the standard rooms are next to a noisy alley and there is motorbike traffic from before dawn till very late.

My husband and I have just returned from a stay at this fantastic Riad, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wishing to have a relaxing stay in the heart of Marrakech. Sibylle and Sa'ad, the proprietors, live in the Riad itself and were always on hand to ensure we had anything we needed - whether it be a taxi or caleche (horse carriage), advice on where to go or just a glass of mint tea! This was by far the best riad we stayed in during our travels around Morocco. So pretty, a completely peaceful retreat from the souks and kasbahs of Marrakesh. Good location. Stunning food. I just wish we could've stayed longer.

I have just returned from a week in Morroco. The Riad Dar Sbihi offers a clean, cosy and comfortable haven in the middle of the medina in Marrakech. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and having seen the suites, I can assure you they are divine. The central courtyard garden, laid out to reflect the four stages of paradise, is the perfect spot to sit after a long evening flight or a day exploring the coast. Everything about our stay in this Riad was exceptional. Being my first time in Marrakesh I was a little hesitant about all aspects of the trip but seeing absolutely no negative reviews about this Riad I thought I would give it a try. I booked directly through the Riads website, my emails were answered directly and promptly. This was our first trip to Marrakech and stying with Sybil and Sa'ad in their beautiful home means we will definately go back. The standard of the Riad is excellent and having stayed in many hotels before the experience of a riad was superb and definately gives you a feel for life in the Medina. We highly enjoyed the accommodation at Dar Sbihi, with comfortable beds, fresh croissants and rolls for breakfast (included in the holiday price), and helpful, friendly owners who were on hand to assist with any questions we had. We were greeted with a traditional welcome of mint tea and selection of exquisite little sweet pastries. My wife and I stayed at this lovely traditional Riad in November '06 and were made to feel very welcome by the couple who own, run and live at the Riad and are rightly proud of it. The setting is very private and quiet with good sized rooms all facing a wonderful garden area. We made good use of a very nice roof terrace to catch some sun and to take breakfast.
