It was a pleasure to deal with such helpful booking staff. Unlike some special rate booking you could cancel upto 2pm the day prior to arrival.
Completely refurbished; lovely location by river and green fields yet minutes to shopping centre. Location good for driving around to National Parks.
Good breakfast and service.
Lunches and dinners not so good. Particular dishes tasted like TV dinners, therefore the fresher tasting options were steaks and salads.
Recommend trying to discover a good restaurant.

My partner and I visited the hotel for the weekend over the Valentines weekend, enjoying the special package created for that event. Since we were travelling down from a few hours away, we missed the dinner for Friday night, and the staff helpfully removed this amount from our bill.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't great that weekend so we didn't venture far from the hotel, but there are some nice walks nearby which we got nice and muddy attempting to do.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday and the lunch was average but ok, whilst the breakfast was lovely, and the dinner was superb. We chose from a set menu but all the food we chose was delicious, and the hotel sticks in my mind because that meal was probably the best I have ever eaten. The hotel had also really set the dining room out well for the occasion with petals on the tables, plenty of candles and smartly attired waiters. The view over the river from the restaurant was a pleasure whilst eating.
We only had a standard sized room, which was adequate but could have been bigger, however for the price the whole weekend was well worth it and I would love to visit again. The staff were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.
I would recommend the hotel in a heartbeat.
