This hotel was very good value for money. For a 3 star hotel, the stardards were very good. Our room was basic but most 4 star hotels are too. It was cleaned daily.
The food was plentyful with lots to choose from even for the children and the quality was very good too. (If you require top notch food- book a 5 star hotel -simple as that!).
The pool was great for the children and also cleaned daily. The gardens and surroundings were well maintained by the cleaners and gardeners all day long.
Great location.
If I was to have a moan it would only be that the sunbeds around the pool were very uncomfortable as they are very hard and flat(no good if you have a bad back like me).
Would go to this hotel again.

on arrival we was rushed through and wasnt best pleased with our appartment 269. it was in the shade and very cold. we enquired about a heater but i was 20 euro, everything we needed in the room was extra so take your own kettle. during our stay though the staff become more helpful and in all was a pleasent clean place. the bar staff in the sports bar where very nice girls and very friendly.if your all inclusive you cant use this in the sports bar and if you like chocolate take your own as its nearly 2 euro for a bar of it. the pools are very nice and a great sun trap.the food was very nice and due to the buffet style meals will never go hungry. overall a nice stay

I didnt actually book this hotel; we were upgraded from the sister hotel, Ficus, just round the corner. The El Trebol, at this time of year, is a lovely peaceful place to have a winter break. The room was spacious and clean as were the areas around the pools, the restaurant and the piano bar. All the staff were very friendly and went about their jobs professionally and quickly. As for the food, I am amazed at some of the other reviewers' comments that there was no choice, particularly at breakfast! There were beans, crispy bacon with the most amazing flavour, sausages, scambled eggs, freshly fried eggs as you waited, fried bread; also pancackes with honey or chocolate sauce, several cereals including sugar puffs, croissants and other pastries and jams, fresh fruit and cold cuts with cheese. And that was just breakfast! The food was in no way bland - there were so many different choices at every meal and even a roast turkey and leg of lamb being carved for you one one Sunday evening, with roast pork being served another Sunday. There were also fresh hot vegetables. So yes there were chips at some meals for those who wanted them but so so so much more if you didn't. Local drinks were available and were fine. The piano bar (which doesn't actually have a piano!) was okay for a post dinner drink but, yes, the evening entertainment was a little lacking. The hotel is nicely situated for a short walk to the beach area and other bars, nearly all of which have some sort of music going on on most nights; tribute acts such as Elvis or Four Tops (well worth seeing at Cactus Jacks). All in all, a great hotel and well worth a visit.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week starting from the 8th January as a couple looking for a cheap relaxing break this is exactly what we were looking for, food good, lots of variety, rooms basic but clean, entertainment not very good but there are lots of bars/pubs very close by.
Would definitely return back to this hotel in January next year

We stayed here Jan. 11 with 3 children and to sum up my review, the food was awful. There was not much choice (practically same every day) and most of the food was over-cooked to say the least (bacon black at breakfast and chicken hard and chewy at lunch). If you like salad you won't starve. My kids didn't eat breakfast as this consisted of smoked hot-dog sausages, over crispy bacon rashers, watery beans and over cooked eggs. On the positive side, the hotel is very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. The pool area is fantastic for kids. The rooms are very clean but basic and dated but you only sleep there I suppose. The entertainment was average - the only bar is the piano bar, which only serve local spirits and beers etc... all of which are served in plastic cups. We went all inclusive but dined out most days for breakfast and dinner as the food became unbearable by day 2. Quite a few other young familes did the same - I wouldn't recommend all inclusive as you'll get sick of the awful food by day 2. People obviously don't give them feedback or they have very low standards. The food's all very cheap - cheap cuts of meat and fish and tasteless.
We stayed at the Beatriz Costa Spa Hotel last year and the food was fantastic as they catered for children also. We should have returned but you don't know unless you try I suppose. The kids club is brilliant and the kids disco is fab thanks to the reps, who are really entertaining. I found all staff really friendly and polite. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the food - the need to sack the "chef" and get someone who can cook!

I returned to the Uk two days ago having spent a week all inclusive in the El Trebol Apartments. As two lads in our 20s (gfriends at home) we booked this last minute for approx £270 each.
The hotel is clean, tidy, quiet and was suited to families with small children and mature couples. The food was very good fresh pancakes every morning. Evening meals also had fresh meat cooked and cut infront of you.
The swimming pools are freezing cold but refreshing there is also a tennis court 5aside footy and two squash courts.
Evening entertainment was cheesy but worth watching reptile shows, bingo and mini discos. Simon and Laura are the entertainers who are lovely.
The rooms are basic with a nice bathroom and kitchen area including fridge sink and hob etc.. You have to pay to hire a hairdryer which is 10euros a week. This also applies to kettles and toasters, but as tea is available all inclusive why bother?
My only gripe is the TV costs 3 euros per day and only has BBC NEWS and CBS channels? If you like Judge Judy you will be fine.. There is an option of a safe which is 15 euros per week.
Outside the hotel(Costa Teguise)is dirt cheap most places have San Miguel at 1.50 euros per pint. English Breakfasts 2-3 euros?
For a good night out Checkers which is next to the hotel has all the Footy on and Xfactor stuff. They have a happy hour where 2pints of Amstel costs 2 Euros. Also try Cactus Jackets or Legends bar opposite the rear of the hotel.

very disappointed in hotel, no aircon, very hot at nite - but fan were there at extra charge, but we were all inclusive, so why do we have to pay extra, room wern't cleaned every day, no fresh towels, no general cleaning to work tops, had to hire kettle. poolside sunbeds unconfortable, no shade, if wanted parasol and cushion extra charge. Food was poor. No lift, on third floor and 36 steps, difficult carrying cases. No adult entertainment. Wasnt the best of holidays

we have just got back from a fantastic stay at the el trebol,
as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a friendly and very helpful receptionist who was imformative and swiftley directed us to our rooms, these were on the top foor (no lifts but only 3 short flights of stairs numbers 372 and 373) i shared with my partner and 4 yr old son and in the apartment next to us was my brother, sister in law and there 3 yr old daughter, the apartments were very spacious and clean, beds were comfy and balcony was large! we were over looking the pool house and pool,
the maids came and cleaned/changed towels every other day and bed linen 3 times over our 11 day stay.
the staff at the el trebol were very friendly and always helpful,
the food was fantastic, something different every night! they had chinese night, indian night, sunday roast, mexican night, etc etc, there was always a wide selection of salads and fruits which were very fresh and tasty, different soups every night, cold meats/cheeses/cereals....deserts were very tasty, cakes jellys ice cream fruits etc the list is endless! i would give the food a ten out of ten basically and wouldn't listen to some of the reviews on here, theres just no pleasing some folk!
drinks were fine too, malibo, peach snaps, rum whisky, vodka, beer, wine, cocktails, etc and a whole loads of different juices/pop/milkshakes aswell, these were available all day till 11.30pm the only negative thing was they filled your cup with to much alcohol on the spirits, we had to ask for small measures as they were to strong!
the pool house served drinks and food when the main restaurant was shut..(main restaurant was open roughley....7.30-10am..1.30-3.30..6.30-9.00). cheese and ham toasties, chips, squid rings, st jacobs, hot dogs, burgers, pasta, etc
the swimming pools are brilliant, especially for children! bit cold in the morning but soon warm up over the course of the day! ten out of ten for that also,
entertainment we found very good for the kids, disco every night followed by bingo then a show....we saw bird shows, dancers, reptile shows, we joined in the karaoke and quiz nights, etc etc it's all round great for familys, the childrens entertainers geroge and laura were fantastic and so so friendly, they also do activitys for adults....waterpolo, football, riffleing, water aerobics and much more, they make you feel very involved and always welcome to join in!
the location is great also, near lots of bars/restaurants/beach.....water park was a great day out and cost 3.20 in a taxi and about 50 for 3 of us entry, would definatley recommend this, we also went for a trip to the local market on sunday that was 3 euro to get there on a coch that picks you up and drops you off 2 mins walk from the hotel....there's plenty to do around the hotel, trampolines for children, arcades, bike hire, snorkling, etc
would reccomend legends bar which is near the hotel....great live music and bands, there is also a free play area for children, free bouncy castle and a mini golf!
it is an all round great family holiday and we would definatley reccomend this hotel to friends,,,,,whether it would be a family trip or a stay with friends, there is something for everyone! ten out of ten!!! and considering this is only a 3* hotel it is very well run and deserves alot more credit than what some ppl on here are giving it! happy holidays :)

Check in - No problems, dealt with swiftly without hard sell of extras which was a welcome change. If you want safe,tv,kettle etc remember to tell them .
Rooms - There are no lifts so if you have a buggy etc be sure to book a ground floor room .The rooms were very basic but spacious and you get what you pay for .Rooms were cleaned daily and beds made ,but bedding was only changed once and towels twice over a 7 day stay .I recommend doing as we do and take your own .The balcony views are amazing ,lovely over the pools .
Location - 10 minute walk from main centre although there are plenty of shops just around the hotel and a few bars .Id highly recommend cactus jacks .The drag act on the Sunday night was so funny .Also the Irish bars the Shamrock and Papa Jacks, the Scottish bar are very good and just a little further to walk .The beach was only 3 minute walk away and absolutely beautiful .The place is idyllic with no high rises or concrete jungle in site.
Food- The food was very good ,we were all inclusive and were not bored although we didn t eat in all the time .There was theme nights every night,Spanish Mexican,Chinese ,Thai etc .There was plenty of choice ,vegeterian options, salads ,cold and hot meats and fish .Our little boy has a peanut allergy and we still found plenty for him to eat .
Drink - The range of drinks you can get as all inclusive are very varied .I tried several I hadn t tried before .However if a lager drinker its a pain as you can only get about 250ml per time in a small plastic cup ,however they will give you two drinks per time .
Places to see- Timanfaya is a must ,this is fire mountain with a camel ride for 20 mins up the side of the volcano .The bus ride with commentry is a bit hair raising but well worth it.You feel like your going to come off the edge.It feels like you ve left earth and landed on the moon .Its a must see,to pinch the phrase from the guide its like going to Paris and not seeing the eiffel tower .A quick hint ,we went at 11am ,queued for an hour to get in ,yet when we left at 1.30pm there was no queue .It is open until after 5pm.
Teguise market is also a must .Its on the sunday from 9am until 2pm .The cheapest place we found to get to this was at last minute travel in costa teguise .It was 4 euro per over 12 s ,2 euros for ages 2 -12 .Fantastic market we were there 3 hours and did not get round it all.
Night life - Hotel night life is pants, the normal mini disco, bingo etc , the entertainment team during the day how ever are really good and worthy of praise .
Staff- The staff are super friendly except for threatening to kick my partener out of the pool bar for wearing a barcalona shirt :)
Overview - Id definitley return to this hotel ,there is lots to do ,pools are amazing .I hope you s enjoy it as much as we did .

I went there alone for 2 weeks in Mar/Apr 2011 and was really suprised when I got there.
The rooms are very spacious. I had a bedroom, a lounge and a kitchenette! They are very clean and cleaned nearly every day. The patio is also very big with table and chairs.
The food was excellent - there was so much choice it was unbelievable. They offered good old English breakfasts, Mexican, Spanish, Chinese and English foods.
The facilities are laid out well with 4 pools! The kids pool has slides and waterfalls. WARNING: the water is bloody freezing.
There are shops, local bars and restaurants right on the doorstep and the beach is a short walk away.
The only thing that spoilt things for me was the wind. Costa Teguise is the windiest part of the island hence no sun umbrellas at the hotel!
