Complete satisfaction .Courteous and helpful staff. Excellent food presentation ,quality, and taste. Best pool areas I have seen in comparison of many resorts we have visited.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the KEY rating of 3 in my view undersells its appeal.
The apartment style geography does seem a lonely environment but that is a like or dislike of such an atmosphere as some prefer solitude.
The A 2 B transfer transport was efficient. In all El Trebol Apartments half board was a pleasing holiday. Les Sexton PORT TALBOT.

We stayed here the first week in August and we went as a party of 8, that's 4 adults and 4 children, ages 14,6,7,3.
The only disappointed when we arrived was that you had to carry your own cases up 3 flights of stairs as there are no lifts, but we was very pleased once we got to our apartment, it was a good size, clean and tidy. Kitchen was a bit on the small side but we didn't need to use it any way.
We had a nice view over the children's pool with the slides.
The snacks during the day let the place down a bit, they wasn't very appetising, I got a bit fed up of eating chips and pizza they were the only edible things to eat, they have a menu with lots of choice on but that's only if you are paying on a self catering basis, they choose about 4 things of the menu per day, you will probably be ok if you like squid rings seen as though that was on the menu most days, the ice creams are really nice though.
The food in the restaurant is much better, the staff work very hard as with most places, and if you need anything they are happy to help you. They have a lot of choice if you can't decide what to drink, The ice creams go down really well with the kids.
The pools at the El Trebol are the best I have seen so far, there are 4 different pools 2 of them are quite deep, another one has slides and waterfalls, and the other one is ideal for young toddlers. but beware the water is freezing but don't let that put you off, if you jump in straight away you soon get used to it. It didn't put any other people off staying there but just thought I would mention it.
The gardens are kept very clean and tidy.
The entertainment is very good for the children, they have different acts on each night and most of them involve the kids, I wouldn't say there is much entertainment for the adults, although we did really enjoy the parrot show.
The kids club is really good. Charlie runs the cosmos one she works really hard and is brilliant with the kids. my 7 year old went to the older one and he loved it, and my 3 year old went to the younger one.
These apartments are in a very good location it's only a 10 min walk to the beach, and right next door there is a pub called Chequers the owners are lovely people they have karaoke on most nights until as late as you want, there is also a spar, an arcade which our kids loved, and if you walk around another corner there is a really good pub called Cactus Jacks which is open until 3am, it's a family pub kids love it they play deal or no deal and sing on the karaoke.
It has something different on every night and the atmosphere is really good.
We stayed here for 2 weeks but at the start of the 2nd week I had really bad pains and it turned out to be appendicitis, I was lucky because there was a private doctors only 5 mins walk away and they told me to go straight to hospital, we ended up having to stay for another week as I wasn't allowed to fly home.
We carried on staying at the El Trebol for that extra week through our insurance, and I'm glad I did because it is a really nice place. The only reason I gave it a 9/10 was because of the quality of the snacks during the day and the lack of entertainment for the adults at night.
Oh and I just have to mention if you get the chance to go out on your own without the children try the foam party at Coyote's it's only 3 Euros in a taxi we was lucky enough to get a night on our own me and my mate, we had a really good laugh.

After reading some comments we were a little worried about going. However the holiday was brilliant.
The rooms were cleaned every other day, this included towels and sheets. Hot water was available at all times in the showers. The food was very good and varied, staff were extremely friendly and courteous.
We were impressed on the cleanliness of the hotel.

Me and my daughter visited El Trebol Aparthotel at the end of July 2007, and we had a pleasant stay. However, when we arrived we were disappointed to discover that even though we had pre-booked our room in England our details were not on the hotel's database. It was only by luck we managed to have a room because we arrived at the complex by taxi, instead of waiting for a coach like many other people who ended up without a room at midnight when they arrived.
Our room was situated on the third floor, which took us forever to find as there are nearly 500 apartments, and the complex is practically like a maze! However, when we finally found the room we were not disappointed as we had a well-equipped kitchen (but had to pay for a kettle and toaster) and a large bathroom, spacious bedroom and living area, both with patio doors leading to the balcony. But I was not pleased by the fact that the cleaners only came twice in our weeks stay and when they did come they only emptied the bins! Another problem was that the lock on our front door broke and we had to leave our apartment unlocked until a locksmith arrived to fix it. As well as this our safe which we paid for wouldn't open on our last day of the holiday, and all of our money and belongings were inside, which meant we had to waste time waiting for someone to come and open it.
We were also told by our travel agent that a fax had been sent to reserve a late departure from our room on the last day of our holiday, but the staff at the hotel said they couldn't do anything until the day before. Nevertheless when we asked to pay to leave our room late the day before going home, a rude man could only reply "listen to me, it is not possible" despite the room supposedly being sorted out in England. We found most of the staff very polite and helpful, with the exception of this man who was very disrespectful. We were also disappointed that there was no space in the luggage room for our suitcases, so we had to leave our belongings in the reception area. We were allowed to use a courtesy room for half an hour free of charge, which helped us a lot as our flight home was late at night.
Overall we would recommend staying at El Trebol and as we have visited Lanzarote over 13 times, I would recommend the following restaurants to make your stay even more enjoyable:
Splash! Beach Bar, Shanghai Chinese Restaurant, Mahatmacote Indian Restaurant and Prado Verde Restaurant
I would also recommend travelling to Fire Mountain and riding a camel, as well as visiting Puerto Del Carmen as there are many shops, and also Teguise Market which takes place every Sunday.
I would also recommend staying in Teguisol Apartments which are located opposite El Trebol. I would advise people NOT to stay in El Molino De Guatiza Apartments as they were the worst apartments we have ever stayed in.
I hope this review has been helpful for other holiday goers.

As regular holiday makers, my husband and I were quite impressed with El Trebol.
On arrival we found the reception staff helpful considering it was broken English.
The room was pool facing and on the top floor which was fine. It was spacious enough for two and was very clean.
A few people have said on previous reviews that they didn't have clean towels, bedding etc but this was not a problem with us. We had clean towels every day and the bedding was changed twice whilst we were there (for 1 week) who changes there own bedding daily?!?
There was a small kitchen area in a cupboard! But everything you needed was in there. The balcony was huge and private.
The food wasn't brilliant, but it was tasty (what are people expecting for that price!) Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, yes there was chips on everyday but there was other options too, pasta, rice, meat, fish etc.
They catered for different tastes and we thought it was standard. Not many choices for dessert but I think that was aimed at the children on the resort. The waiting staff and cooks were very friendly and helped when they could.
We didn't experience the night life on the resort as there was plenty of relaxing life outside the walls. There's a nice little bar at the back of the resort owned by a English man and it was nice and relaxing in there, he's an expert on most cocktails, I recommend the Strawberry Daquiri! Legends was also a good night if you want a bit more life. I would also recommend walking towards the beach and you will find many bars and restaurants there too.
Overall if I was to go back to Costa Teguise, I would stay at El Trebol again.
We went on one trip with the operator which was the Rancho Texas, that was fantastic, very well organised, loads to do and the food was wonderful, would definitely recommend that.

My family of 6 have just spent a wonderful week at the El Trebol, Costa Teguise, and Lanzarote.
We quite honestly could not fault anything about the resort, apartment/hotel, staff, nor the food. I had read reviews before we went and was a little concerned that many people had complaints mainly about the food.
However these people are obviously the type of people who do not appreciate good food and are probably only used to burgers and chips anyway. The quality and variety and of the food surpassed our expectations - we ate so much !! The restaurant was large and spacious with food laid out buffet style on fabulous catering tables.
The complex was terrific, well laid out with fabulous pools, safe for small children too. The evening entertainment was varied, from quizzes to dance acts, snakes to parrots!! It was very entertaining every evening.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the complex just the right distance from the beach and shops and bars to stroll in the afternoon or evening. Costa Teguise had every angle of entertainment covered from friendly Irish bars, to Italian Pizzerias, to bars showing Big Brother and Eastenders (for those who like that sort of thing!) We saw several very good tribute singers.
We hired a car to tour the island and rode camels, toured the volcanoes, lava tubes and little fishing villages. We ate at the restaurant at the top of the volcano - delicious.!! There is so much to see - Quite honestly, a week was not long enough.

I stayed at El Trebol apartments with my cousin of the same age (30) at the end of June 2007. We booked a cheap last minute get away looking for a week of relaxing, and that’s exactly what we got.
When we arrived we found the reception area modern and clean, and the reception staff very helpful, especially as they had no knowledge of us being booked there! This was sorted with little trouble and we went off to find our apartment.
Ours was on the 3rd floor with great views over the pools and mountains. Our apartment consisted of a sitting area with sofa bed, TV and dining table, with a small kitchen area hidden behind what looked like a cupboard door.
There were patio doors onto a large balcony area with additional patio furniture. We had a spacious bedroom with another set of patio doors. There was a safe provided in the bedroom which you paid for at reception. The bathroom was roomy, with a bath with shower over it. All of the rooms were clean and tidy.
The cleaning staff came 5 times during our stay with fresh towels. You need to pay extra (3EUROS) to watch TV, but who goes on hols to watch TV anyway!
The resort itself was large with two big pools and one for the kids with slide. There were loads of sunbeds, plenty to go round. There seemed to be staff cleaning all the time and I didn't see one cockroach the whole time I was there.
We didn't have any kids with us but all the kids around seemed very happy, and there was daytime entertainment for kids provided by the staff.
During the day there was a bar by the pool which as well as drinks, provided snacks and ice creams. (All free if all inclusive)
We stayed all inclusive and were more than happy with the food provided, although not sure if I would have liked another week of it, would have got a bit boring.
Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, selection of cereals, yogurts, cold meats, and cheese. Full cooked breakfast of eggs (scrambled, boiled, or fried) beans, bacon, tomatoes. Alternating sausages, hot dogs, mushrooms. Also pancakes with a choice of toppings.
There was also a choice of breads, rolls, croissants, and Danish pastries. Some of the food such as eggs, and pancakes were cooked on a hot plate in front of you. There was a toaster provided for you to toast your own bread. All fruit juices, tea coffee also provided. As you can see - there should be something for everyone!
Lunch and dinner were very similar with a choice of fresh salad, fruit. Cold meat and cheese. Two or three choices of meals. But always chips! Deserts were usually choice of about 6 different ice creams, jelly, cakes, and milk puddings. Great for the kids!
The food always seemed well cooked and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant seemed clean.
The evening entertainment was a bit of a letdown for us adults. But the kid’s entertainment seemed very good and the kids all seemed to love it. We stayed at the bar for a few free drinks before heading out for our evening.
Just outside there were a couple of good English run bars. We found that Legends was the best (just across the road) Good entertainment and friendly, welcoming staff.
This is not a good area if you want lots of clubs and bars. We heard of one club called coyotes, but this was it. Great area for families, but not for singles.
El trebol is about 5 min walk from some lovely beaches, and just around the corner is an aquarium, and crazy golf course.
We did one of the tours available at reception to Fire Mountain. It was good fun, got to ride a camel (cost extra) and learn a bit more about this beautiful island. If you hire a car I would recommend speaking to staff at reception for their ideas on places to visit.
There are some lovely places to visit that only the locals know about, and are not too tourist-y.
Anyway, to summarise, we had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Well worth the money we paid. Great for families. Not so great for singles.

The hotel was standard. Food was the same everyday Chicken or Fish. Entertainment was poor. Children only had half hour disco on the night.
Rooms was cleaned every couple of days. Sheets changed once and towels changed once. I had to complain to have the towels changed again.
Volcano trip is a must and the beach is beautiful. Not may shops but reasonably priced. Don't exchange your money in any of the shops, change it at the bank they will charge 6 euros, but you will be getting exact money for the exchange rate. Don't by any electrical goods, as they don't work!!

Having read other peoples past reviews, we were a bit worried about our holiday selection, and that's why I've done this review. It's great!
Our apartment was a good size, nice and clean with basic but adequate furnishings. We (my fiancé) and I travelled with our 5 year old, and needed a base with good accommodation, and that's exactly what we got.
The food was FAB, apparently they got a new restaurant manager in March, and I have to say we couldn't fault it. Snacks at the poolside bar were fine too, and even the fussiest of people could always have their chips!
The pool is as cold as people have written...I didn't even dare go in as dipping my toes was enough. However other half and child braved it, as did many others.
There is a kiddie’s pool which was great as it had small slides for all little ages to enjoy.
All these areas were kept really clean and every morning they got the leaves out of the pool.
The location was good as only 5 mins walk to the beach. There is a better beach by the Occidental hotel, and well worth the 15 min walk.
All in all, a great place for families and those wanting an active, but not chaotic, holiday.

I'd give this hotel an 8/10. People who are reading this and thinking what? I’ll explain why I gave it such a high rating.
Ok So when you arrive it doesn’t look like a hotel (I don’t know what it looks like now because I haven’t seen the refurbishments), the rooms are basic, but with very large balconies, so if you just wanted to chill for a bit before going to see the entertainment then it’s a great place to sit.
The Staff are really friendly always smiling, and when my daughter lost her all inclusive band we had to wear 5 times! They just made a joke of it; politeness is always great when you’re on holiday.
I went with my husband and my 2 daughters, who were 7 & 12 at the time, and they absolutely loved it, they wanted to go back again!
They went to Club: Kids World every day nearly and didn’t want to leave!! I don’t blame them, there’s activities for nearly everyone, there’s 3 different groups, Mario’s, (for the smaller children), donkey Kong (4-8 yrs) and Warios (9-12) so everyone does something for their age group, and the staff there FABULOUS!
And they have air conditioning so don’t worry about your children getting all hot! There is lots for the little ones to do outside also with 2 pools for themselves and slides!
The Food was ok, sometimes was the same breakfast, but it was edible and quite tasty, but one evening my youngest daughter went up to get some ice-cream, (because everyone was going up to get things) and she came back all upset because when she went to get her ice cream she got Rum & Raisin, but then a man saw her and said "NO NO THIS IS ALCOHOL " and gave her something else, so they should have signs saying, Alcohol on it!!
Overall great holiday, would go back again? For definite!

I have just returned from El Trebol from a 2 week all inclusive trip. There were 2 families of 4, both with 2 adults, one 5 year old and one 1 year old.
The first comment to make is that the pools are FAR TOO COLD for young children. Both the 1 year olds hated getting in and could only manage 1/2 hour max before crying to get out. By about 5pm on a very sunny day they were just about bearable but by then the day is almost over. The cloudy and windy climate is perfect for young kids (and adults who hate oppressive heat) but it does mean the sun doesn't heat the pools and judging by the number of comments about the same thing I can't believe they haven't done something about it. We took a small paddling pool and filled it with pool water each morning. By lunchtime it was like a bath and we were the envy of the site!
The apartments are also great for young families. Although we went all inclusive the kitchen facilities were just what we needed (although completely inadequate if you're going self catering). We had a fridge to keep water and milk for the babies cold and a sink for rinsing it all out. Blackout blinds on both sets of windows/doors was excellent as it meant we could get the kids to bed while it's still light and the babies could have a nap during the day. The balcony was huge and very safe for a crawling baby! The bathroom was great as well and towels were changed more than expected (although they're tiny and we only had 3 of them for a family of 4!). The maid was fab though and gave us extra of anything we needed. The sofa bed in the lounge was terrible and broke when my husband got in it on the first night. Could only sleep one adult so I slept in with the kids in the twin room. I don't think our apartment had been refurbished but was perfectly fine.
The food was fine but after 2 weeks was getting a bit boring. Plenty of choice and if you like chips and ice cream every day you've got everything you'd ever want! The all-inclusive daily option at the pool bar was very poor and on reflection I should have complained. Although it changed daily there were many days when we were forced to eat in the restaurant as the choice was so poor (great if you like chips everyday!) - there's a theme running here huh! The pool bar is understaffed as is the evening bar. This put staff under pressure and we don't recall seeing a smile in 2 weeks which was a bit miserable. The high-chairs in the pool bar were unsafe and should have been replaced years ago - it's probably only the dirt holding them together - don't use them.
They have recently moved the reception to the other side of the hotel but the old reception still remains in situ. It's grotty and needs refurbishing urgently.
They have a kids disco at 8.30 every evening and the kids loved it! The rest of the entertainment was suspect which meant there were loads of teenagers hanging round the pools every night. Was a bit noisy and there were complaints most nights which resulted in a guy with a suit appearing from reception. Was not a problem really until a small child cut their foot on glass by the poolside one day and glass has to be removed from the kids pool.
The place was clean and tidy. The pools were cleaned most days but needed to be done every day as the wind blows everything in there. The food was fine for what we wanted and we ate out on a few occasions for variety. The hotel is located minutes away from the shops and beach and it was great to wander down there in the mornings while you're waiting for the clouds to clear. There are NO LIFTS and the novelty of carrying a baby and pushchair up the stairs soon wore off. It was a nightmare particularly when you also have towels and inflatables but I guess we put up with it.
I would not go again unless they sorted the pool heating out but if they did that then I would definitely take my young family back there.
