Firstly heard from fellow guests whom we met who had previously visited with First Choice and they could not believe the down turn within the Village since its change over to Thomas Cook,
well we have just arrived home after 10 days , food was repetative all the time , our 8yr old son was eating bread rolls by the end ,not much choice in the way of food for kids.except ice cream at dinner times , had to pay outwith.
Dont get me wrong we all enjoyed the holiday , but we were glad to get home and wouldnt go back .
The complex is quite nice looking and safe for kids which is the main thing, main area is kept lovely , but the football and tennis court are quite messy as it is out the way.
The Main pool area could be cleaned more as the area was still sticky from drinks spilled from the days before
There are 2 parts to it, one for the brits and one side for the Spanish, basically a mirror image , go to the Spanish side for drinks , real glasses ( not in pesi cups )and alcohol ( not watered never got tipsy once ) plus the spannish dome is much cleaner inside.
Only one pool bar with one person working at it , she was lovely and works hard to keep the que's down, the chicken shack is what it is , basic snacks .
Dining hall is too small for the level of guests, go early or late to make sure you get a table, as we had to wait and when we did get a table we had to clear it ourselves aswell as change the table cloth. the level of staffing is poor and not enough to keep the turn around of diners going.
All the staff work hard , so hats off to them ! but just not enough to keep it ticking over.
Son went to the soccer school to which he enjoyed immensley, but level of coaching to be desired, especially for £30, probs due to the heat,10 minutes skills then game of football .
they went to get drinks from football court to pool bar , as they were nt allowed to get it at the closer snack bar , which is stupid as the coach had to supervise all the kids via the pools instead of being allowed to take them to safer option at the snack bar.
Thought the entertainment was more suited to adults during day time , not enough for the mid 9s to 15yr olds, xcept at 4pm were there was a teenage kicks club were it was mostly under 10's . kids enjoyed it but could have been on earlier during the day.Nite time entertainment for kids wasnt on long enough as I said catered more for adults.
Would only go back if last minute and could nt get anything else - shame as it could be a really a good holiday place .
- Advice: get towels down early for the pool , nver saw any Germans ,but there must have been there, towels down at 7am, lol

just returned from sun tropical,27th september2010.very nice clean hotel, food quite good what u would exspect for 3 star.always somthing to eat and we are fussy eaters.Bar staff bit miserable,on the hole nice people.its family oriantated,so if u got young kids nice.myself did not have children, found it bit quite.but if u want a relaxing week beside one of the five pools this is it.not a lot to do in the evenings.they do three hours in the dome each night.one hour for kids club then bingo.u dont win money u win prizes.then they have open the envelope ,then the reps do there shows or game shows.drinks are served till midnight but the bar staff want u out at midnight.free bus to beach twice day but u can walk in fifteen mins.thomas cook reps were really good friendly people.so for peace and quite book it..

We arrived back from the Sun Tropical on 11th June 2010. 2 Adults 2 kids, 1 (get's bored easily) 8.5 year old boy and a baby of 17 months.
WOW what a holiday. This, please note, is not a holiday village any more.
Accomodation: surpassed our expectations. Exceptionally clean and beds made daily.
Food: Eldest boy is a faddy eater, there was never a shortage of things he would eat! Very impressed. Ate like a pig for 2 weeks and what he didn't eat the baby did. Endless types of fish, Veel, Venison. Quite often in the evening the grill would be going with chicken, pork, lamb etc.
Salad galore with loads of dressings.
Vegetables a plenty.
Different soup every day.
Continental and English cooked breakfast.
Always bread rolls, different sandwich meat, cheese and fruit available.
Cakes - if you like that kind of thing, are diffenent every day.
If you are all inc beer, wine, soft drinks and fruit juice on tap.
The only downside to it, if you can class culture as a downside, was that the mainland spaniards have no manners and should you say thank you to them...if looks could kill! Perhaps as a nation we are a little too used to queing!
The staff however are AMAZING! Quick, clean and efficient with a smile and a coo (for the baby).
Public Areas: Very clean and tidy. The gardeners work really hard to keep the area tidy.
The pools (and there are loads!) are cleaned everyday, especially the main one. The beds are put back at the end of the day and the pool sides are cleaned down in the evening to minimise Ants from the lazy people who tip drinks over and can't be bothered to get up to swill it down themselves.
The dome is big and the kids loved dancing on the stage with the Entertainment team.
The Entertainment team, Kez, DJ John, Ollie Ollie Ollie, Jenna, Annie and Lucy are great at getting you (or should I say reluctant shy 8 year olds) involved. These guys have been working together for 6 weeks and they are great. They work so hard.
There is also an Animation entertainment team (for the German/Spanish guests) however as there were not many Nicole spent alot of time playing Killer Pool with the Brits and getting involved with the Entertainment team.
KidsWorld's Lauren tried her best to get my son to go to KidsWorld. But alas there were no other boys his age so her attempts were in vein.
Street Soccor School starts this week and Mitch is amazing. As there was only my son in his age range and 4 other older lads, they had a daily kick around ready for the season kick off on 12th June getting Dad's and the Ent Team involved too. BOOK IT NOW before you go, it's cheaper. My son only did 3 sessions with Mitch and has only been playing football at school this year but his skills are pretty good thanks to Mitch.
There are 2 hotels on this site, Sun Tropical and Sun Island. Once Sun Tropical fills with Brits the German Guests and Spanish guests (so I am told) are placed in Sun Island. There are 2 domes and loads of space between the 2 hotels however I'm not sure how this would look when full in the height of summer.
Would go again!

We were at the holiday village form 11/03/2010 to 18/03/2010 the weather was brill the staff at the complex were more than helpfull and very friendly even down to Maria the cleaner Thompson staff were also very helpfull. The points which we were impressed with were the prices charged for extras we had a car for 3 days which was collected from the village at no extra cost we hired bikes for a day through the village they were also dropped off at collected at no extra cost and we went on a submarine safari which was fantastic all these were no differnt in price if they were booked at the complex or in the town which is very unusall we went self catering as a couple but we did say that the village was an ideal place for children with lots to offer.our aprtment was in a quite part and it did seam as if you were allocated apartments according to your status which was very good as we were not troubled with lots of fun loving children. the pools and all the garden/ playing areas were spotless. We would recomend this place to anybody couples or familys we will be returning next winter LOVED IT

Having just returned from Sun Tropical I have to say that we had a very enjoyable stay there. The staff and reps were fabulous, the variety of food for AI was good, the pools very good. Just a short walk to beach and town centre. The rooms were cleaned every day and also the towels were changed daily, sheets change mid week.
The evening entertainment was no better or worse than any other AI we have been on. The reps show was fantastic, probably the best show of the week, well done to the reps.

Very nice complex. The location was spot on for me and my Husband. We dont have Children but found it very charming even for Couples. The beach is only a 10 mins away and there is a great selection on Restaurants and nice bars in Playa Blanca. We found the pool areas great and you could always get a sunbed. The apartments i have to say were spot on. Plenty of space, clean and tidy and good English TV Chanels. I would go back here!
