Maxim Resort - we supposed to spend here 2 weeks but after 2 days we have managed to change to another hotel - a real 5* star. Almost only Russian guests - no English speakers at all, the garden is minimal size and in the evnings you can her at least 3 hotels disco music - don't expect to sleep til 2 AM. The corridors' and our room's carpet was a mess, minibar refill was a bottle of water / day. If you spend your day on the beach, get prepred that everytime you want to drink something, you can go to the bar for a small glass (plastic) of refreshment - no bottled water on the beach. The firs shock on the first day was a middle aged lesbian couple making out next to the pool, so we tried to find some empty and possibly not broken sunbeds on the beach. Next schock the next day was an old man around seventy - Full Monty on the beach when changing clothes. The bar area was quite poor, but one thing was good if you like to queue up - food. Not too wide variety but tasty. After 2 night we have checked out - the hotel might have 5* facilities, but I would rather give 3*. Absolutely no sign of cleaning the rooms...
Extremely good value
from MichaelGu
We went for a weekend with children and grandchildren, eleven people in all. The food was very good, and plentiful, the rooms very adequate, the kids enjoyed the pool and the slide there immensely. Important to know: they turn off the air conditioning in the rooms at meal times, and drinks are not free between midnight and ten am. The beach is pebbles, not sand, but the sea is calm and beautiful. Some of our group complained that their room was not cleaned every day, but ours was. For the price we paid it was very good value indeed.
This is a good hotel and you'll have a good holiday.

We stayed at Maxim Resort for 2 weeks in July. We read these awful reviews on this site, yet they were not true. Of course, this is not the best hotel in the world. But I cannot say anything bad about this place. There was everything: free sauna, nice pool, nice beach (with lovely parasailing), nice food... Staff was friendly, everybody speaks english. It is a bit crowded though. Turkish Night was fantastic! So, you don't have to worry like we did. We've enjoyed our holiday.
Poor service
from depravatu
Don't go there unless u want to get bored, or if u are russian. The service is terrible. You wait to get a beer 10 minutes because the bartender is talking to some russian women. The food is like at Mc'Donalds, every day the same thing, a tasteless snack. The hotel looks like there is no service around. If u need something prepare for searching. I was there and I don't want to let anyone go through what I went.
Aweful, just aweful.

Arrived and they had the wrong reservation details, had to pay more to get what we should have had initially. Terrible plain buffet food, we ate outside the hotel most meals despite being all inclusive. NOT 5 STAR, realistically at best a run down 3 star hotel. Terrible town ruined by unplanned tourism. Condoms floating down private beach. Stained carpet throughout the hotel including in rooms. They were doing a insect infestation treatment whilst we were there. You have to wear a wrist band to get all inclusive like a child. Bored, unmotivated staff. There's load more wrong with this place which I'm trying to forget.
Poor service

We have just returned from an Xmas holiday at the Maxim Resort. Firstly having a delayed flight and having missed the first night at the hotel (which was paid for), we arrived and when checking in at around 8am, were asked to wait. After I made a fuss, saying we had already paid for the previous night we were given our room. Hardly any of the staff spoke english. The cleaners did not hoover the rooms, even though they made the beds etc. on a daily basis. All inclusive was not what it should have been, all day snacks supposed to be served from 12 - 4pm, were not served, when we queried it, we were told it was now only 2pm-4pm. We were then made to feel as if we were putting the staff out as we ordered snacks, most people did not bother as the restaurant appeared to be closed. At breakfast we asked for milk for tea and my husband asked them to fill the jug, instead the waiter brought us half a cup of milk, the englishman sitting on the table next to us had the same problem, we then offered him some of our milk. 5 star, no way, it has the potential, but the service was unbelievable!! Water in the indoor pool was cold. The bellboy was in jogging bottoms and a jumper and looked a bit scruffy. Mrs H, Aylesbury.
Learn the truth about this hotel before going there
from levinni
My mother, my sister and myself were guests of this hotel for 1 week at September 9th 2007, and were extremely disappointed from it. We were told that this hotel is ranked as 5 stars, but unfortunately our experience shows different. We reserved 1 room for 3 adults and re-checked it with our travel agent prior to our departure. Unfortunately when we received the room we found out that the 3rd bed is collapsible and isn't suitable for an adult. They were only able to change us rooms the next day, and we received a "family room" which was also suitable for a couple + 2 kids because there were stairs to a 2nd floor with small beds with no window and no air-condition. In fact the most important thing about this hotel is the fact that they don't open the air-conditioning at all, they keep telling you that the technician will come and fix it when in reality they only open the ventilator instead. It was suffocating and we didn't sleep the whole time we were ther, in addition I bought a small ventilater and slept with it on an armchair in the balcony. In addition they "save" electricity in the public toilet in the hotel area so you can be trapped there for at least 10 minutes in the dark. In addition the whole time we were there they didn't put any new soaps in our rooms only on the first day. To conclude this review I strongly advise you to choose another hotel, as it was a waste of money and we came back home very nervous and tired from sleepless nights.
Maxim is nothing special
from Mayatomer
Beware of what they offer....very little was delivered. Internet is free in all the nearby hotels for their guests...not in the Maxim. The buffet was so-so. Hardly any of the staff understands English. Some were actually rude. Won't go there again.
Deluxe All-inclusive resort
from ucr
We just returned from Kemer, app 35km from the airport.. The hotel is a nice not too big compact all-in-one-resort. The Maxim has a private beach and a big outside and midsize indoor pool! The weather was surprisingly good for the time of the year, 21C. I've visited more 5*hotels in Turkey and i've to say that the maxim is the best of them all (i compare it with Titanic, Miracle, Adora and Rixos). The staff is very kind and service minded.. The all-in buffet was a every day paradise for me and my wife. Thank you The Maxim for the best Turkey holiday till now!! Tip: the very romantic SPA and the a-la-carte italian restaurant (not included, we payed 5€ pp)
Okay Hotel
from rozowski
Nice hotel but nothing fabulous. Hotel itself was good, but the buffets were plain and not very exciting. The city where the hotel is located has only all inclusive hotels so there aren't any restaurants to try. That aside, it is a beautiful area for a beach vacation. Also, the hotel staff isn't very well versed in English.

Couldn't fault hotel accommodation. Most of staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of choice in dining room but quality of food just average.
When going out of season as we did not all facilities are available (no snack bar and water slides by pool not open). Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
