Hotel was really good, beautiful seaview, food was just superb, people working there were friendly, we had the best times there. There is just one thing to be aware of, there is quite a few steps so i wouldn't recommend it to people with walking difficulties.

This holiday was absolutely fabulous...so much food and the desserts were absolutely divine... there is a standalone cake table. The bar staff are dab hands with cocktails and there is a disco right on the beach if that is your sort of thing. On my holiday stay i ended up... more

this hotel would have got a full 10/10 if it was not for the amount of stairs you have to climb, its ok for the fit and healthy, kids or elderly "i dont think so" otherwise if u go to bodrum make sure u go to halikarnas night club and stay in joy club hotel!!

Well what can I say, the Joy Club is situated on a high hill over-looking the spectacular Bodrum Castle which was also lit up at night with the turkish flag high in the sky, when I visted with my dad who loves to observe scenery and there is a couple of run down windmills... more

joy club
hotel was fine but idid upgrade to a suite food good .entertainment good the rooms out of the hotel were not so nice.so make sure your in hotel main building.staff freindly and helpful there is a lot of stairs at this resort dont be put of as there is acablie car to beach. not good for buggys pushchairs etc any questions email me would go back
Shockingly bad for a 4*
My wife and I were really looking forward to taking our 1yr old daughter away, and also to staying at the Joy club in Bodrum. We arrived at 3:00am and took 20 mins to check in after which we were led out of the hotel, down 100 steps (With pushchair, daughter and hand luggage!) to a 'clubroom'. The room measured approx 15 feet sq, and the bathroom was extremely small with only a shower tray in which to bath our daughter. So, in the room for 3:30am, we then had to wait for a cot until 4:30am by which time they had offered us some water as a... more
Minimal club
The rooms were bare (no decoration, no carpets, no bathtub) and there is no balcony. The rooms were not so clean, and remnants of mosquitoes remained squashed on the walls. There were LOTS of mosquitoes, in the room and outside. There are no English channels on the small TV. The staff is friendly, but know hardly any English and any complaint is simply ignored - the phone in our room was not fixed the entire stay, a leak in the bathroom was not fixed, etc. There is a great selection in food, our plates were full in every meal, not everything... more
A wonderful place to enjoy with your kids
Had a wonderful stay with our kids ! We reserved 2 rooms, but on arrival accepted a suite instead. Food was excellent and plentiful, the staff is always friendly and helpful. The animation team is entertaining and do their best. Views from the hotel and vicinity are wonderful - we never got tired of the landscape. City center is a short taxi ride away and taxi station is at the hotel. Minor complaints: 1. For 3 consecutive days, the lobby had no turkish money for change - make sure you have turkish money. 2. The air... more
Gorgeous Views
Great hotel overall and position wise unbeatable - basically the hotel sits at the top of a large hill where you can see that gumbet is positioned on the left and bodrum to the right. The hotels all inclusive deal is fantastic value and despite eating out once in gumbet and once in bodrum in hindsight this was a waste of cash - especially in bodrum which is expensive - we paid 170 lire at a restaurant called Kocadon which was good food but tiny portions (sides had no mains etc) the quality of the hotel food is exceptional and the choice... more
Good get away
The Joy club is on top of a large hill in between Gumbet and Bodrum (Bodrum is the best out of the two). Mozzis... arnt a problem at all if you wear Jungle spray twice a day (morning and before you go out on a night). The stairs... at the hotel arnt a problem as long as the lift works which it did for the whole time while I was there. The food... lots of choice so your bound to find lots of things you like... cakes are amazing so is the fruit and the fresh bread is beautiful! Rooms... I advice you to be in the main... more
4 star foyer, 1 star rooms.
Having just returned from a week at the joy club i felt i should warn others not to fooled by the brochure description regarding this hotel. The joy club has a beautiful foyer and lounge bar upstairs. Decor is lovely and very clean. We arrived late at night and were impressed by the entrance, thats were it ends. we were shown down flight after flight of stairs and eventually into the back garden. Small garden sheds described as bungalows or club rooms in the brochure stretched even further down this never ending hill.Inside the rooms were... more
Fantastic Hotel in a Beautiful Location
Just got back from the Joy Club in Bodrum yesterday and had a brilliant time there. The hotel is ideally situated away from all the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to jump in a taxi and go into the centre when you fancy it. There are an awful lot of steps, and when you're at the bottom of them it can be quite daunting... especially in the heat!! There is a lift, but it doesn't take you as far down as the pool or the beach, so you can't completely escape the steps! The hotel is spread over many levels and we still... more
Relaxing Break
We did our research before booking and therefore knew to expect lots of steps........and there was ! Our room was very basic but clean and the aircon meant we slept well. Best bits worthy of mention are the great views, great food that is mostly prepared fresh in front of you. No complaints about any aspect of the food. We really needed a relaxing break and got exactly that. We had plenty of room to find a quiet spot in the sun to chill out. To travellers going there, take very few Turkish Lira as everywhere prefers to... more
loved the vies
Just returned from Joy Club Bodrum. What a fabulous holiday we had. The views from the hotel are amazing. Restaurant staff were very friendly and very hard working. Meals were excellent, and i am a very fussy eater. The Animation Staff were absolutely fantastic, always keeping us amused. Watersports, payable at the hotel include Parasailing, Scuba diving,Banana boat riding. I am definately going back to this hotel in September again as we had a fantastic holiday
