Camelia Apartments

Just got back from a two week stay at the camelia, and once again it was great, Dede, Rose, Saboush?[not sure of the spelling] make a great team, the rooms are large and clean, the food is great andmilly the dog must be one of the most inteligent dogs i have ever seen! The pool is cleaned daily, and towels/bed linen every other day, I would highly recomend a stay here.

This was cheap, basic, but very clean. There is little restriction on what you want to do at these appartments, excepting taking you own food and drink to the pool, which is not unreasonable.
Dede the manager was always cheerful and helpful. His english was excellent, both Rosie and Sebish (I think that the right spelling) were great, cheerful and worked thier socks off. The linnen was changed regularly and appartments cleaned daily. The pool was very good and Dede was great fun interacting with the geusts. For those who have pets Milly, Dede's dog was brilliant and good with adults and children alike (just throw the ball).
Great barbeque laid on by the staff, which despite Dede's claim, was prepared by the girls, the food was delicious.
I have been there twice before Dede took over and really think the place is just as good, but staff interaction with the guests (of all nationalities)is better.
Dodgy Dundee will be back !

it was my 1st holiday in 11 years its close to the town, people friendly, food awesome, gorgeous pool, clean n lookedd after apartments its like a home from home.......actually loved it and im going back in 2011 allready booked

We had to sleep outside! We arrived at Camelia at 3am local time after being dropped off by a shuttle bus from the airport. We had our two children, aged 6 and 9 with us. There was no-one at Camelia to greet us, other than an angy dog barking near the pool. We were locked out and frankly did not want to chance climbing the gate with the dog looking pretty annoyed. No-one could be roused, despite the dog barking its head off. After about half an hour, a holiday-maker appeared on his balcony and realised that we were desperate - there was nowhere else for us to go, no taxi to take us anywhere else either at that time of the day. He let us in through the gate (the dog turned out to be fine) and said that the owner (Dede) normally slept by the pool but was nowhere to be seen. We had little choice to bed the children (now tired and frightened) on the sunbeds whilst we kept watch and tried to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Finally, at 6.30am the owner arrived home with a few of the other residents. They were very drunk and the owner got abusive when we tackled him as to why he wasn't there to greet us. Eventually he let us into our apartment (basic is the only word that can describe it) where we stayed until 9am when we managed to get ourselves a taxi out of there and stayed elsewhere. The owner was still in a drunken stupour when we left.

What a fun place to stay very welcoming. food cooked by rosie is brill and the bbq dede puts on through the week is great. Dede and ferit are great hosts cant do enough for you well recommended. Rooms are kept nice and clean top marks to all who run and work at the camelia aparts, keep the good work up graham and ang.

This small, very friendly family run apartments is very peaceful, with a large swimming pool and bar area where meals are served all day. Rose is a great cook and is willing and helpful. The Manager Dede and Ferit (his son) are always there to help and chat, they also offer good advice of where to go and what to do. They will take you on a boat trip, or have a BBQ for their clients. Food here is always excellent and the breakfasts are superb too.
The apartments are clean and large, have a balcony to enjoy the sun or breakfast in the morning, or perhaps just a cup of tea. The bathrooms need to be updated to a better standard, kitchen does not have sufficient equipment to cook there, but not a problem for us as we dine out. Rose cooks a scrumptious breakfast to start off the day.
The apartments are very close to the shops and beach which has various cafes and bars, plus excellent restaurants on the beach front. A lovely prommenade goes the full way of the beach and restaurants and one can stroll along during the day or evening enjoying the sea and sun. In the evening the sunsets are so brilliant they take your breath away.
Situated on flat land, this area is very suitable for people of all ages.

During the past 8 yrs I have stayed in various hotels and apts in Fethiye & Calis but now my search is OVER. I have discovered the Camelia Apts. The apts are run by brothers Dede and Ferhart and Dede's fiance Carrie. A warm friendly welcome awaits everyone who stays here and it is no wonder people return year after year and often several times a year. Dede and Ferhart can arrange anything for you - excursions, car hire, bike hire. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. Staying here is VERY reasonable. The cost is charged PER APT NOT per person. You can even book direct summer and winter. The standard of cleanliness is excellent. Rose cleans the apts every day and towels and bedding are changed every other day. The apts are spacious and comprise of a double bedroom with two sofas in the spacious lounge which will easily sleep four people, however with what they charge you could easily afford two or more rooms depending on the size of your party. The pool is great and the bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. They also sell a good selection of food. Don't miss the weekly BBQ - excellent value and superb food.
The beach is about an 8 minute walk from the apts and there are loads of bars and restuarants as well as shops around the beachfront. The local dolmus (mini busses) run every few minutes, taking you into fethiye which is about 10 inutes away.
I have to say that most of your time will be spent around the pool and the bar at the Camelia as the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and VERY welcoming. DON'T miss out book today. You will NOT be disappointed

Had great holiday for the 2nd time this year. Can recommend these apartments for being basic but clean and the most friendly owners you could wish to meet. Dede and Ferit couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much trouble. Always had a friendly smile, which is quite rare these days. Not too far from the beach or the town of Calis. Have already booked flights and accomodation for next year

We cannot recommend Camelia enough. Although only rated 2 star you get 5 star service from Dede and Ferit - they cannot do enough to help you and they are so friendly you feel you are staying in their own home. Ferit stayed up all night to wait for us to arrive when we were delayed and greeted us with a lovely smile. We will definately return as there is nowhere like it! Resort is lovely - small but friendly and ideal for families and couples.

To Echo other comments, Dede and Ferit were excellent. The other members of staff were also fantastic. The apart was clean and well furnished, this however was irrelevent. The whole ambiance of Camelia made my holiday. Nothing was ever too much trouble. You come to Camelia as a guest and leave feeling part of the family. My only complaint is - that so many other people feel the same way, i will have to book much further in advance to ensure i will be able to enjoy Camelia again. Bob
